A different Veggie Garden

Within 20 minutes of my house, there are two vegetarian restaurants with the SAME NAME! And no, they are NOT affiliated! Is that not one of the weirdest things you’ve ever heard? (Well, maybe not the weirdest, but still, it’s pretty weird!)

I posted a few weeks ago about my most recent trip to Veggie Garden. So now, here is a post about my most recent trip to the other Veggie Garden.

I stopped by this Veggie Garden to pick up some to-go meals (to eat during the week– being in college, I don’t always have an abundance of free time in which to cook).

Dinner #1 is Soy chick’n and mixed veggies in black bean sauce. I added the ring of steamed bok choy around the side of the plate. To complete the meal, I had brown rice with a small dish of maple syrup (because, as I’ve written before, I love dipping my rice in the syrup– it tastes like rice pudding!). I loved every bite. (Unless I write otherwise, I always clean my plate– vegan food is just too good to waste!)

Dinner #2 consists of eggplant, mushrooms, and other veggies in sweet garlic sauce. Once again, there was rice (sans syrup this time).

Well, I wrote it because it’s the truth 😀 you ARE beautiful ! But I’m glad I made you smile 🙂

I cannot say how much I ADORE bok-choy. I would eat it everyday if I could.

It really is weird that you have two restaurants with the same name where you live. Have you asked them the reason ?

Too wierd about the restaurants- but hey lucky for you!

Wow that eggplant looks sooo good (I’m a huge eggplant fan!). You’re so cute about the maple syrup.

I don’t think it’s weirdest thing ever – I think it’s the LUCKIEST thing ever!!!

the chik’n/vegetable dish (mmm, bok choy!) with the black bean sauce looks incredible; and I really need to try that rice/maple syrup mixture – how intriguing!! I remember you having it once before, but with barley – yum!!

You’re very lucky to have to vegetarian restaurants nearby you, no matter what they call themselves! So which Veggie Garden was better?

Hmmm, I think your takeout looks better than mine (I had chipotle). How funny about the names. Which one was first? Which one is better? I need to get up to the DFW area sometime….I hear there are several good veggie restaurants (and plus my little brother lives up there….okay not so little, he’s 25)
