Five facts before dinner

I’ve been double-tagged, by Vegmomma and Billy, to share five things about myself. It was rather difficult to come up with five more things that I haven’t already shared in my other surveys. But here they are– five new facts about CCK:

1. I think panda bears are so cute, and I went through a phase in elementary school where my entire room was decorated with panda bears. (I also went through a smile-face phase, as I highlighted in my other About Me Survey.)

2. I’m now at SMU in Dallas, but I spent my first year at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

3. When I was six, I told my doctor that my favorite food was broccoli. After that, I was her star patient ;).

4. I’ve never had a cavity (hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself!).

5. I’m 5’5– just above average height.

I’ll be boring and not tag anyone. But if you want to participate, just pretend I tagged you!

Katie is the baker, photographer, and author of the popular blog Chocolate-Covered Katie. Her favorite food is chocolate, and she believes in eating a balanced diet that includes dessert every single day. More about Katie—>

Good to learn more about you. I love pandas too and my best friend went to Bryn Mawr. And lucky you for never having any cavities!

  2. Leng says:

wow you’re 1″ taller than I am! and yes! panda bears are really cute. When I was in h.s. I went through a phase where my wall was covered with BackStreet Boys! LOL I can’t believe that they’re still singing!

  3. Sam says:

You told your dr. that your favorite food was broccoli?! If I had told my dr. that my favorite food was broccoli instead of chocolate, I probably wouldn’t have spent all that time and money on Weight Watchers…

  4. Romina says:

I’ve never had a cavity either! Hurrah!! =)

  5. ChickPea says:

Thanks for the pedi compliments…I am 5’5 as well!

  6. Billy says:

Woohoo, you posted your five facts! It’s nice to learn a little about you.

Pandas, huh? I’m obsessed with birds. Do you watch Lost? There was a giant stuffed panda in the last episode. :)

One of my friends went to Bryn Mawr. Are you originally from PA?

I love broccoli too (and brussel sprouts and turnips).

My fiancee hadn’t had a cavity until several months ago, when the dentist found several. I’ve had too many to even remember (well over 10). I hate the dentist.

  7. Ricki says:

Always nice to learn more about fellow bloggers! I think pandas are cute, too. I am totally jealous of your (non) cavity accomplishment–I’ve had far too many in my life. It must be because of all that healthy food you eat! :)

  8. bean_mix says:

    you are so cute!
I want to attach you to a key chain and hang you from my backpack!
    Too creepy??

  9. Anke says:

ok, let me get this straight. you eat chocolate all the time and still you’re as slender as an asparragus AND you’ve never had a cavity in your life??? that’s what they call great genes, I suppose. man, I’m jealous :-)

  10. Cookiemouse says:

Does this revelation mean that you are really the Broccoli Covered Vegan? Pandas are cool!

  11. Vegan_Noodle says:

I think you may have replied way back when I posted about my obsession with koalas that you were obsessed with pandas… we should compare notes from childhood.
Great job on keeping those teeth clean, must be all that broccoli you’ve been eating….

  12. Lizzy says:

    Interesting facts =)
And wow, that is one HUGE panda bear! He he!

  13. Bianca says:

You know, I didn’t go to the dentist until I was 24…My parents just never made me go. And when I finally got there, my only cavity was in a wisdom tooth that had to come out anyway. Weird, huh? The dentist couldn’t believe what good shape my teeth were in for me to have never been to the dentist.

  14. ~randi~ says:

OH you’re at SMU! My fiance went there for a year and then transferred to UT – Austin (where we met!) I can’t believe you have never had a cavity. That is great!

  16. Michaela says:

You are so lucky about no cavities, especially because of your love of all things chocolate! I have to go and have another one filled tomorrow morning. (my 6th! But thankfully they are all small ones, caught before developing)

  17. Caroline says:

That’s hilarious you told your doctor your favorite was broccoli. I’m pretty sure at six, I would have said ice cream. I think now, I would say almond butter so I guess I’m doing fine now!

  18. GIGI says:

I visited SMU when I was on my college search (oh so long ago)… and I remember I made quite the impression with my tour group when we stopped for lunch in the dining hall…. BECAUSE I CHOKED ON MY FOOD and caused quite a stir in the cafeteria~ Ah ha ha, needless to say… I ended up going in another direction for school (I go to CU-Boulder… will be graduating this year)… and I haven’t choked on my food since… WHOOPS I totally just jinxed myself too! ha ha!
