A tisket, a tasket. A vegan Easter basket

by Chocolate-Covered Katie on March 28, 2008

Although my sister and I are both grown up, my mom still loves to make us Easter baskets like she did when we were little girls. And hey, I’m not going to complain about that!

.

This year’s Easter basket contained nail polish, 2 stuffed animals, veggie soup mix (my mom is a funny lady), bunny socks, a chick pin, 2 lollipops, money, and duck soap-on-a-rope (my sister got bunny soap-on-a-rope. I told you my mom’s a funny lady!)

.

Above– showing off my Easter basket…

But then Henry started whining that a boring old basket was getting all the attention. So I, of course, had to pick up my spoiled doggie and take a picture with him.

.

Are you happy now, Henry?

Henry is too cute! And I really liked that brown little bunny in your basket!

Yes, I am coming to Texas! My parents live there, and the kids have spring break in April, so we are driving out to visit! I love Texas, and I love visiting my parents as well! My mom is taking me to Spiral Diner, hooray! (the Fort Worth one)

Sarah,

Yes, I am naturally this way. I don’t count calories or worry about what I eat (except to make sure it’s vegan LOL). But seriously, I have friends who are much bigger than me and have just as good of a life!

Be happy with who you are (ugh, I sound like one of those annoying motivational speakers!!!).

Reply

EEP! I <3 your outfit, there.

Ducky soap on a rope. That is priceless!

My parents got my husband and I some gifts for Easter, but due to some family illness I have not been able to visit and claim it! They won’t tell me what it is, but it is being kept in the freezer to keep fresh… hmmm.

Speaking of gifts, there is something I have for you! But you have to wait a little bit. Heheheh.

It was not an easy choice but I would like to see the Gnosis Raw Vegan Truffles. I have never had a vegan (or nonvegan) truffle.

My mom made great Easter baskets, too! The best thing that I ever got was a phone– it was clear plastic and had colorful wires inside. It had a cord and everything, as this was around 1992! It was my first phone of my own– I got to use it in my bedroom! Ahh, freedom!

This year, I would like to find a Lodge cast iron pizza pan in my basket… or in the mail, I’m not choosy!

Well, I don’t celebrate Easter, but I couldn’t resist entering the contest. I have a sneaky feeling that those Uli Mana truffles are suitable for Passover. ;)

Aww you look so cute in your pink dress!! I’d most like to win the cacao powder. I think it would be the most versatile and I could use it for a bunch of things. When it comes to chocolate, the darker pure kind is the best!
