Take a moment to go hug everyone for whom you are thankful. (I, for one, am going to hug my hand blender. No, just kidding. Truthfully, I’m going to hug my mom, dad, sister, doggies, and my computer screen. Why the computer screen? Because I am thankful for all of YOU!)
Other things for which I am thankful:
1. The beyond-gorgeous weather that greeted me this morning on my run (ok, so it was a *tad* cold at first, but that makes for the best running weather, because then you’re not all hot-n-sweaty by the end!)
2. The piping-hot bowl of Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal I ate upon my return (and the soothing ginger tea I drank along with it).
3. NOT being at the Macy’s Day Parade this year. We went one year; my uncle has friends in the NYC-government, so he gets “great” tickets… But when my face is frozen off and I can’t feel my toes, those tickets don’t feel so “great”! Funny story about that year, though: Everyone was literally CRYING from the cold, rubbing mittened-hands together and bundling close to one another. Suddenly, Richard Simmons shows up (yeah, the crazy exercise guy!) in a purple tank top and short-shorts, and he runs through the bleachers yelling, “Who wants to try my new low-fat cookies?”
4. My adorable little cousins, who are sitting across from me right now, looking uber-cute. In fact, I think I’ll end this post here so I can go play with them!

You had a Richard Simmons sighting during your painfully cold parade experience? I am SO jealous. My idol. Haha. I’ve never been a big parade fan either because I can’t stand standing in the cold. So I would have been glad to opt out too.
