I just made this for myself, delicious!! I added a bit of homemade coconut butter and about a teaspoon of almond butter. I think the melted banana made the whole meal, though!

Hey, a friend just introduced me to your recipe blog here and I am in love! I've been going through all of your oatmeal recipes and I am totally amazed, but I have a couple tips from one decadent but healthy oatmeal lover to another. For one of the most simple, lowest calorie and most dessert like bowls of Oatmeal, instead of adding water or plain milk to your oats, add a cup of one of the sweet Syntrax Nectar protein shakes (I prefer the chocolate truffle one in mine). I mix one cup of the protein shake with two packs of instant oatmeal in the morning. Somehow the protein shake, not only adds protein, making it extra healthy, but it also changes the texture of the oatmeal, giving it a softened ooeey gooeey cookie texture. The Syntrax Nectar shakes are only 100 calories a cup, each packet of oatmeal is 100 calories. So if you make the extra large bowl (I always do), it's only 300 calories. From there, I usually like to add a tablespoon of some Da Vinci Sugar Free Peanut Butter flavored syrup (0 calories). to the chocolate truffle oatmeal. The end result tastes almost exactly like a no bake cookie (the chocolate, peanut butter, and oats kind). But there's so many variations you can do with the protein shake flavors, the sugar free syrup flavors, and added fruits. Definitely try it out sometime : )

wow, I didn't think I could be more addicted to oatmeal, but after finding your website I think I will be. Just tried the recipe, but subbed the milk for chocolate soy protein powder and water. and with the walnuts and chocolate chips it really tastes like cookie dough. Thank you! Will work through your recipes the next months :) I think I need to freeze 10 bananas now and go buy some silken tofu^^

Made an oatmeal bowl not too dissimilar from this (oatmeal w/pinch of salt, slathered in lots of coconut butter and sprinkled with cocoa nibs). Gosh, one bowl kept me happy for hours and hours! Gotta love oatmeal... and especially with chocolate in any form :)
