**EDIT**
Questions I’ve gotten:
.
Question: If, during the two weeks of the challenge, I make and blog about more than one pancake creation, will I be entered more than once to win the prize?
Answer: Sure, why not? The more (pancakes), the merrier!
.
Question: Does it have to be a dessert pancake? Can I make savory pancakes?
Answer: Of course! You can make whatever you want. You can even make raw pancakes if you’re so inclined
.
.
(And Kyle, you are my new best friend for the comment you left on my last post!)
.
.
I’m super-excited that so many people are game to take part in the Dessert Pancake-Making Bonanza!
.
Pancakes are like blank canvases, screaming to be decorated. I’m sure y’all have some yumlicious ideas… but just in case, here are a few I’ve brainstormed:
- Snickerdoodle Pancakes
- Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes (topped with Cheesecake Mousse)
- Larabar Pancakes (topped with chopped dates and your favorite Larabar embellishments)
- German Chocolate
- Carrot Cake Pancakes
- Tiramisu Pancakes
- The aforementioned Pina Colada Pancakes
Or you can always use the Any-Flavor Pudding as a topper for any flavor pancake.
I’ll stop listing now, as I don’t want to take anyone’s idea. Don’t you hate it when you have the best idea for a project until the teacher goes and uses it as an example??
In case you missed the last post and therefore have no clue what this Pancake Challenge is all about, I thought I’d do a quick review.
.
But first…
(Sorry—I just couldn’t resist putting that German Chocolate pic up one more time.)
The Great, Big Dessert Pancake-Making Bonanza
To participate, all you have to do is create a fantabulous pancake recipe and blog about it, linking back to the challenge.
(If you’re stumped for ideas, just think of your favorite dessert and then Pancake-ify it!)
Let’s talk Prizes!
As I said in my last post, the real prize is all the fun we can have admiring each others’ pancake artwork. But, one random participant will also win something else of his or her choosing, from:
1. Artisana
2. PB&Co
3. or a CCV-Photoshopped Creation, such as a personalized magazine cover (you on your favorite magazine), cereal box cover, or whatever else you can dream up.
.
Below, an example (obviously, I’d use the winner’s picture, details, and choice-of-magazine in place of mine)
Now go put on your chef hats and let the pancake-making commence!
(Baking Bonanza ends July 18th.)

Okay, I was totally brainstorming up some Carrot Cake pancakes. I guess that is out now teach?
i had to go read kyle’s comment on the other post so that i could see what you’re talking about, and i’m with him on that! next season is for shorter models! you would be amazing, katie! but i think you might have too much dignity for a reality show. (chocolate-covered model does have a nice ring to it though, don’t you think?)
love you, girl!

Just so you know, JB – I’m a girl….haha sorry, my mom named me.
I’ll think about this Pancake contest…I must admit, I’m not that creative in the kitch :-\
And I’d make it gluten free, too. So WATCH OUT world, if THIS girl makes a pancake – it’ll be whack.
Hi Katie! I love your blog so much!! You’re such an entertaining girl!
So this morning I managed to be a bit creative with my blueberry pancake (I’m so sorry it’s not a vegan version). Your German pancake picture is so awsome, I could look at it in every post
