Spiralizer spiralizer, you’re a spiralizer, baby
You you you are. You you you are.
I think I might just be the luckiest girl in the world. First a free Vitamix, now a free Spiralizer?!
(Please don’t resent me; I’m going to share the luck in a future post. More details to come.)
When Julie, of the Ultimate Nourishment Company told me they wanted to ship me a free Metro Garnisher Saladacco Spiralizer, I fell out of my chair. Wha??? Seriously??? Umm, Christmas in June??? But it gets even better. This oh-so-generous company is also offering a free Spiralizer to one very lucky CCV reader!
In honor of this new fun toy, I’m christening one week in August: Spiralizer Week.
What to expect during Spiralizer Week:
1. Lots of twirly, whirly, swirly, spiraly Chocolate-Covered Meals of the Day
2. A post written by a top-secret special guest.
HINT: She has her own fabulous blog, and she’s quite famous in the blogworld. That’s all I’m sayin’
.
Oh yeah, and then there’s that Spiralizer Giveaway… so keep your eyes peeled during Spiralizer Week, because in one of the posts, you’ll get the chance to win your very own Spiralizer so that you, too, can make this:
Spiralized zucchini pasta, smothered in ridiculously-creamy Three-Ingredient Alfredo Sauce
.
(More on this—and the meal I ate with it—in a later post)
Question of the day: What would be your first choice, in terms of sauce, for a big bowl of pasta (be it zucchini pasta, carrot pasta, regular pasta, etc.)?
.
.
.
.

How do you get such fabulous free shiz? I would fall over if I got a free VitaMix!
Definitely pesto. Nothing beats pesto!
. Lately I’ve been up to my ears in vegan sundried tomato pestos and other varieties. I can’t wait to try them!
Ooh, I like the pesto idea, but tomatoes tossed in olive oil and basil would be yummy, too!
Ooohhh, a nice thick, chunky marinara!
And I’d love a spiralizer…what fun!
Oh what I would give for a free vitamix. Or just any vitamix period. They don’t have them in this country….sigh….
And a free spiralizer! That is AWESOME! That pasta looks so pretty and fresh.
Creamy tomato sauce for sure!!!!
My favorite sauce would be a sundried tomato pesto, hands down!!
Anything tomato based–LOVE me some tomatoes!
Katie and all other salad lovers–the New York Times has a GREAT article with 101 super simple summer salad recipes–and the first couple dozen are vegan!

Hahaha I love this post’s title.
I’m psyched for spiralizer week! I would love to try a spicy tomato sauce on carrot pasta. I think it would be fab.
YUM-o! I think I’d like to try PARSNIP pasta with a cashew-plum sauce!
ENTER my giveaway for Amazing Meal!
I would love a spiralizer, but for now, I’m just doing fake spiralizing with a vegetable peeler.
I’m not a huge pasta fan, but I do like making fake alfredo with cauliflower and red sauces. Oh, and pesto, too!
Hope you’re enjoying vacation!
ohhh pasta… i have such a love/hate relationship with it. i loooove that you can be so creative with it but i can never stop after one serving!!
my fav way to eat pasta is a little olive oil and parm cheese. plain and simple but so yummy
A spirilizer, cool! I love some roasted tomatoes, with garlic, basil and olive oil. Simple but tasty!
Ha pasta is my loveeeeee! I think the best sauce is this lentil marinara sauce I’ve made a couple times. So chunky and yummy.
anything but marinara. it’s my least favorite!
oh my god i want a spiralizer SO badly! and i can’t choose just one choice of sauce for a pasta! i love tomato sauces, and occasionally creamy sauces too, but i also love the simple olive oil with salt and pepper or balsamic vinegar. yummy! i’m definitely going to be waiting to hear about this giveaway. spiralizer, where you from? how’s it goin? i know you, got a clue what you’re doing. hehe.

Some kind of nut sauce, maybe cashew, or peanut. But a crunchy one, so it would need pieces of the nut in too ;p
I’m truely a nut fiend.
Awesome spiralized zucchini with alfredo sauce! Mmm.
I love a simple tomato and basil pasta! As long as the ingredients are fresh, it’s so good
I’ve always been a fan of any kind of tomato-based sauce. One with basil and mushrooms in it would be ideal!
Homemade marinara. It’s so traditional but it’s my favorite way to eat pasta. I grew up eating pasta with “red sauce” as my mother called it (I’m Italian) and it’s one of those things that reminds me of home.
A zesty, raw marinara! A spiralizer would do me well in my quest to eat more raw and marinara is delicious on top of a big bowl of zucchini and beet pasta. yummy
hmm it would be a creamy cashew sauce with garlic
You’re so lucky!! Those things are awesome
Oh man. I would do almost anything for a free VitaMix… and nearly anything for a spiralizer. I’m excited!!!
My first would be Zucchini Noodles with avocado massaged in…so yummy, but not as great with flat zucchini ribbons =/
mmm, maybe a sundried tomato sauce? yum
i am kinda jealous
That looks neat. I’ve been looking into getting a shredder of some sort, because I like slaw-type salads better than the leafy kind.
I like creamy sauces. Sometimes I just don’t like tomato sauces… They’re too acidic or something. Creamy is almost always awesome.
Hands down, no question, my favorite pasta sauce would be roasted garlic alfredo sauce.
I gotta go simple – olive oil, garlic, and herbs. It really is the easiest sauce, and my favourite
Thick tomato sauce. Yummy.
And the spiralizer looks like SO MUCH FUN!!! Oh my goodness I want to try that thing out so badly. The possibilities for recipe creations are endless!
Am super super excited for your spiralizer week.
First choice for pasta sauce – I’m traditional – homemade tomato sauce or just olive oil and garlic. But hummus sauce over pasta is delicious too!
ooh what a lucky gal you are indeed! a spiralizer! FUN!
I love a good cheesy sauce with strong cheese like gorgonzola.
I never knew what spiralizers were until now. They are so cool, I want one!!! My favorite pasta sauce is a garlic olive oil or white wine sauce. Mmmmm…
The spiralized zucchini pasta looks sooo pretty!
Wow, some girls have all the luck…but I can’t wait to see what you make with your spiralizer! You’re such a creative chica that I know you’ll up with some mouthwatering eats:)
A coconut curry sauce and creamy pb with carrot, not your usual pasta sauce but definitely delicious
I’m gonna have britney in my head all day now!!
I’ve wanted to try zoodles for ages, but not sure if using a veggie peeler would do them justice!!
PESTO!!
I just love my spiralizer isnt it the neatest? My favorite sauce would have to be the tradtional homemade raw marinara… however i wouldnt mind trying out the alfredo sauce that you posted it looks super yummy
Michal (lilearthmuffin)
I think spiralizers are so freakin’ cool! I can’t believe they make things like that! It looks delicious.
I loved Gena’s cashew alfredo…it was ridiculously good, but I love homemade marinara too, so it’s a toss up!
I bought one of those about 2 months ago and you are going to love, love, love it. I even have my 5 yr old daughter eating raw spirilized zucchini with me if I let her crank the handle.
Love love love my spiralizer. One of best kitchen gadgets ever invented!
Favorite sauce? Pesto!
Spiralizer Week needs to get here already!!! I hope you’re soaking up all the beach time
Love ya girl!

I would like to say a nice raw marinara. But, I do love alfredo!
