Hi Katie,
I’m a long time lurker, first time commenter….I love your blog and all of your innovative recipes!! I am not vegan, but I have been many vegan things for my whole life because of a milk intolerance…anyway I had a question about the Kuzu…does it thicken in a similar way to Agar? Or is it more of an arrowroot type of consistency? thanks for writing such a great, informative blog!

The stew does look tasty! I need to try making new soups because I tend to get stuck on tomato rice, lol.

any posts with pets makes a day awesome! and i wanted to tell you how much i love hug a carb month. of course you know i celebrate hug a carb every single day. you’ll never catch me giving up those unless some doctor told me that my life would be in jeopardy, in which i’d probably switch health care providers!

um I feel really stupid right now but……
what is kuzu??
and second..I’ve never had polenta in my life. I sometimes want to try it when I see it at the store but I’m a little scared for some reason. What does it taste like and what is its texture?? I feel like I would like it b/c it looks like oatbran. Do you ever have it for breakkie? ;)

Your Kuzu is absolutely intriguing!!! Of course I had to go do my own research on the plant, but AHH thanks for being so creative with your food Katie! It’s inspiring, as usual. :)

By the way, I’m having a ZenSoy pudding and soy milk giveaway so stop by if you’re interested!! :)
