Ghosts of Thanksgivings Past, Present, and Future

by Chocolate-Covered Katie on November 27, 2009

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have no idea how some of my fellow bloggers stay so current with their posts.  There’s no way I would’ve had time to upload my photos from yesterday, write a post, and hit publish by this time.  So maybe before Christmas you’ll get to see photos from my Thanksgiving.  Until then, I’ll offer up scrapbook pages from Thanksgivings past.

The Ghosts of Thanksgiving Present:

Ok, so this isn’t really about Thanksgiving…  but it’s in the present, so it sorta fits.  And it’s just too intriguing to keep to myself.

The Ghost of Thanksgiving Giveaways Future

Check back next week for what might just be the most exciting giveaway in the history of the world.

(Ok, maybe not as good as a Vitamix… and I’m not Oprah, so there’ll be no giving away cars.  Sorry guys.)

Holy cow, I still can’t believe all these jars are in my house.  I’d better get this giveaway up soon, or I’m likely to eat them, myself.

I’m trying to exercise self-restraint… it’s hard!! :-?

.

Girl just can’t be trusted.  But can you blame me?

Look at all that nut butter goodness, begging to be turned into Raw Macaroons, poured over oatmeal, or eaten straight outta the jar.

cb

(Or perhaps a Raw Mounds Bar? :) )

.

Happy Black Friday!  And please stay safe!  (I’m serious; last year I remember hearing about a stampede at Wal-Mart that ended in death.  Seriously, guys, sometimes a good deal is just not worth it.)

Awesome scrapbook pages!!

What is (your) Black Friday? Here, Black Friday recalls a big tornado that hit our town in 1987. I was only 4 years old but I remember it well. Not the best of events. Your Black Friday sounds scary too – a death-inducing stampede at Wal-Mart!?!

Oh my gee. I wonder if I could participate in that giveaway. Australia is notorious in its quaratine rules, makes trying delicious products from the US that much harder. If only I’m Bill Gates, I’ll fly over to the States asap! :D

+ HOLY scrapbooking. I love the turkey one. So creative!! again – no surprises there! :D

Hey Katie! Happy Thanksgiving! I so enjoyed your scrapbook pages…you are unbelievably talented. I can totally see you becoming the next Martha Stewart, except veganfied! That would surely make for an exciting day time program =)

I’ve noticed that your hair always look gorgeous–shiny, luscious, and just wonderful evidence of the benefits of healthy living. Could you share with us your haircare routine? Which products do you use? I would love to know!

Thanks!

The only shopping I did today was at the Asian Mkt. for some more kabocha. Could not pay me to get near a mall the day after Thanksgiving. No thanks!

I don’t know how you have time for all your amazing scrapbooking Katie. I love that you do that, and your family must love having all their holiday memories organized.

This is going to be your best giveaway yet…I haven’t booked my U-haul yet. ;)

Your scrapbook pages are probably my most favourite feature on your blog (besides the delicious recipes, haha). You’re a really talented scrapbooker! I also got to know scrapbooking from your blog as it’s not common around here.

Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving (this isn’t celebrated around here either:))!

Love the scrapbooking pages, and hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.

I went to Target at 4 am yesterday! It was actually a lot of fun because Lucas and I went together. We were smart and put handwarmers in our shoes and gloves!

Hey Samantha!
Your comment just made me smile for the rest of the day!

I’ll definitely try to get a hair-care post up… but I’m embarrassed to say that my routine is not very interesting lol. I use the cheapest Whole Foods Brand shampoo and conditioner (whichever ones smell the best to me at the time… right now I like grapefruit). Then I always use a detangling spray like Shikai Mist & Go. And then I blow it dry, upside down, which takes about 5 minutes (my sister is so jealous; her hair takes 45 to dry!).

Maybe it’s shiny because of all the fats I eat, especially coconutty foods. I’ve heard that coconut is good for the hair. If it weren’t so expensive, I’d love to try rubbing coconut oil into my hair… ah, if only I were made of money ;) .

Love,
Katie

P.S. I sent this to you in an email, but it came back to me.

So many yummy foods!

I think your house is the Coconut Heaven…:)

Did you do the scrapbook by yourself? If so, you’re frickin creative and talented! If not…well you still are bc you’re the one who invented the fudge babies x)
