My Blog gets a Makeover!
I’m so bored of my blog’s old look. Instead of a picture of me on the title, chocolate ought to be front-n-center.
To everyone who’s gone through a blog makeover, how did you do it? Did you buy a template? Do it yourself? Hire a brilliant computer wizard? My poor bloggie is in need of some snazz-ifying.
In the interim (while I’m trying to figure out my next move), I’ve put up a new title. I’m not happy with the visual presentation, the photo, nor the color scheme… but what do you think of the new heading/caption?

portia de rossi is vegan too… gorgeous!!… i remember when she and ellen got married the media made a pretty big deal about the fact their wedding cake was vegan, but still delicious! WHA!?! how could it beeee?????
as for your blog… Mama Pea and Fitnessista use a pretty good hosting guru i believe. i would recommend asking them! i think it’s “Triskele”

I didn’t go through a blog makeover, but I did make my own header by taking one of my photos and adding text to it (using Picnik.com, nothing fancy). I get a lot of compliments on it, so I guess people like it.
I would gladly help you make a new one if you want!

Love the new tagline! I bet you could google for free templates and find something you really like then just plug in your info. I think you can often include your own header on those, too. I think your blog looks good, but remember people aren’t visiting to look at the page itself… it’s the content we love!
If I weren’t married to my tech guy, I don’t know how I’d do it!
I don’t like the color/comp of this header – too heavy and dark, sorry! and I’m used to CCK, but the (awesome!) tagline might sound silly with it. Why not go back to chocolate-covered vegan? sounds good & keeps the healthy-tasty theme working.
I just use a theme from WP.
Hey I’m new to your blog…love it! Crepe cakes sound phenomenal! Ya I love Alicia Silverstone, she’s done a lot of great work for the veggie cause and is a PETA spokesperson I think! She also used to babysit my friend, we’re from the same hometown (random!)

Katie, the header of your new blog is really creative and the description is very strong. I think it’s fantastic.
From a visual standpoint, however, I find the black against the dark purple just a tad challenging to read. Though, I do love your chocolate-covered photo!
I just started reading Alicia’s new book “The Kind Diet”…and loving it so far. I am not Vegetarian or Vegan, but the more I learn about the kind of healthy lifestyle I want, the more open I am to it.

That Clueless pic really brings back memories. I know I’m showing my age, but I used to dress like that in my college days. I had the blazers, thigh-high tights and everything. I looked so very clueless, but fashionable for the time

Natalie Portman is now gone from being vegetarian to vegan! My husband loves her and after I mentioned she was now vegan he said he would have to go and do the vegan circuit. ha ha ha Hey vegans are hot!!!

I love your new header/tag line! I always like to work on things until I have that “Ah ha!” moment. (Sometimes it never comes, LoL!) I am doing all of my own stuff, but I’m just an amateur compared to others. I can’t even decide if I like WordPress or not! It seems confining to me, and I didn’t find it to be very user-friendly in the beginning. (Not so bad now that I kind of know what’s up) However, I’m all over that chocolate covered strawberry ice cream. It looks amazing

When I gave my blog a makeover I used The Blog Fairy. She was awesome. I think she does full blog makeovers and well as smaller “mini makeovers’.

I love the new Tagline and header! the title and the tagline are so appropriate for the content of your blog and your attitude towards food and eating. I love it. And the photo with banana, oats and chocolate is perfect!!

I love hearing about vegan celebrities! Well, I love hearing about vegan people in general, but I figure celebrities have a bit more influence than your average Joe. Anything to spread the word!

I relied on dear old Zesty for my makeover. He’s almost as good as Cher:)
i used Rainy Day Templates and paid 30 bucks. So worth it. I think you will obvi have something creative and gorgey! just make sure that chocolate is included in some way

I looved your blog before, but a fresh look it always nice too! I just spend countless hours trying to figure out templates/made my header/etc. I am too cheap to buy a template or anything–althought I do want to buy a domain sometime soon.
I hired someone who implemented all of my design requests. I was the mind, he was the skill. I knew exactly how I wanted it to look I just didn’t have the computer know how to get it done.
I like the name – Chocolate Covered Healthy, it is a fabulous motto!
