A Job Offer

January 26, 2010
by Chocolate-Covered Katie

.

Loved loved loved hearing your Stereotype Stories yesterday.

Here’s a quick recap: Stef surfs to school, JCD and Whydeprive take a dogsled, Naomi drives a fancy BMW, and Mama Pea slogs through the rain and stops to hug trees.  Megan skips school altogether, because she needs time to gamble, drink, and party.  Littleaspects is the luckiest of all: Her mode of transportation is a kangaroo!

And me?  Well, naturally I ride my longhorn, complete with a lasso and ten-gallon hat ;) .

ye

Yeehaw!

Let’s see, what shall we talk about today?  I’m working on a bunch of recipe posts, but don’t have any ready to go quite yet.  Maybe tomorrow I can get the Carrot Cake Pancake post up.  Or a Health-ified Chocolate Milkshake.  Or a spaghetti squash recipe.  Or Chocolate Cupcakes.  Or soup.  Or… or… or…

Seriously, I have a ton of new recipes to share; I just need to find time to write the posts for them!

Stop giving me so much homework, teachers… stop asking me to hang out, friends.  Can’t you see there’s important blogging to be done?!  Too bad I’m not a member of the no-need-for-sleep Cullen Clan.  (I was so close!  Darn you, garlic!)

.

.

Maybe I’d have more time if I hired a personal chef.  Someone like…

Mandiee, whose Dark Chocolate Agar Pudding looks beyond delicious.

And another shot of the decadent pudding (Chocolate version here), because I couldn’t decide which photo was awesomer (not a word, but I don’t care).

.

Or Hela, a super-super sweet reader from Ireland.

Hela, is there any way I can convince you to move to Texas so you can make me Banana Bread in a Bowl?

bananamic_thumb28

On second thought, Colorado is much closer to Texas than is Ireland.

Katie, can I convince you to relocate so that you can be my Banana Bread in a Bowl breakfast chef?

bboa

Anyone else want to come cook for me?  I’m no Bill Gates, but I can pay you in Carrot Cake Macaroons :)

Reminders:

1. If you’re planning to get the six extra entries for the Vita-Mix Giveaway, don’t forget to make a recipe before the contest ends!

2. Get ready for another Vegan Thursday!

Thank you!

**Thanks, Amy, for your thoughts on the Whipped Cream in a Bowl recipe.

I really appreciate getting feedback on recipes, and I updated the post to include your suggestion.**

Someone did once ask me to come to their home and cook for them (as I was their dietitian too), but I didn’t think Ryan would approve of me moving in with them instead of him! Can’t say who it was, but it would have been a sweet gig…and they weren’t 100% serious about it either so no hard feelings. Plus I can’t cook!!!

  15. January 26, 2010 5:44 pm

Haha Katie, wouldn’t it be great if we did not have to sleep or maybe just one night a week! Think of all that could get done! When you get my age you have to fight off the naps too!

  16. January 26, 2010 6:15 pm

All of these eats are making my tummy rumble! Must go have something to nibble on. The banana bread in a bowl looks heavenly, must try this asap!

    Have a great day!

  17. January 26, 2010 6:31 pm

I vote for Carrot Cake pancakes! I’ve been CRAVING pancakes all throughout my cleanse, and now I can finally have ‘em.

LMAO! I will attribute this to the early hour and the fact that I’ve only consumed one cup of coffee so far, but I read that as “Dark Chocolate Anger Pudding” and nearly fell out of my chair laughing at the awesomeness. I’ll never look at pudding the same way again.

    Have a lovely day, Katie!
