On Blueberry Hill… with Sheep?

by Chocolate-Covered Katie on March 4, 2010

Guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how much it means to me that

so many of you have been linking back to the Orthorexia post on your own blogs.  Even if the post had only helped one person, I would’ve considered it a success.

*Also, if you sent me a pancake link for the coconut butter contest, I’m a bit behind in responding, but I’ll get back to you sooooon!

And now, on to today’s post…

 .

 .

I might’ve made Strawberry Shortcake pancake roll ups…

cakes3

but it seems everyone else is more interested in Blueberries…

.

Case in point:

The Bellas made a blueberry pie pancake roll up

And they made sauce (that I’m so going to try!) by adding berries to homemade vegan whipped cream!

Other members of the Brady Blueberry Bunch:

prolltri

 prolllsa

bbp

prollsp

(In order)

These girls forced me to go buy blueberries so I can join the Blueberry Pancake Roll Up fun!

.

.

Changing Subjects:

sheep

A lot of people on formspring have been asking about music, which makes me think I ought to bring back the chocolate-covered song of the day!

Advanced warning:

I have very strange taste in music that ranges from The Black-Eyed Peas to Classical to…

I won’t even say it ;)

Today’s song is Good Girls Go Bad.  I love listening to this song when I run, even though every time they sing “bad” I think it sounds like sheep!!

Good girls go baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.  See?  Sheep!

What’s your “song of the day” today?

Oooh, those blueberry pancake roll ups look amazing! I really think they need to expand the ‘print and taste’ technology so I can taste these things for real. (Said technology exists, they featured it at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry!)

Considering I kept hitting repeat on my morning run, today’s song would have to be ‘I’m For You’ by TobyMac. Why, who knows. Maybe the beat was perfect for my stride today…

Yesterday’s song was ‘Sing Sweet Nightengale’ from Cinderella. The day before that was by the Black Eyed Peas. You see, I have an odd music sense as well, or maybe a lack thereof, whatever.

I have weird taste in music too! I like a little bit of everything, including opera, latin, rap, country…you name it! My song of the day is “Tik Tok” by Ke$ha. I heard it on the radio this morning and now it’s stuck in my head!!

Hahaha I love Good Girls Go Bad! It cracks me up! I’m currently OBSESSED with “Meet Me Halfway” – Black Eyed Peas. I put it on my iPod and listened to it on repeat half my ride home yesterday! I haven’t done that since Gaga first released “Bad Romance” lol. I also have a totally weird musical taste – I go from Frank Sinatra to DMX to a little bit of Puccini without blinking.

Mmmmmmmm blueberries… Gosh I can’t wait for berry season.

I like that song too, no matter how sheep-like they sound ;-)

Why is that in my head? I have NO idea! I’m not married or even dating, so it beats me! But that’s my song today!

Thanks for featuring my roll-ups girl!!!! Big hugs to you :D
And homemade vegan whipped cream…YUM!!!!!

And I’m going to have to try your strawberry shortcake roll ups… I love LOVE strawberries!!

My taste in music is strange too.. I listen to anything from rap to Britney Spears to Keith Urban to Lady Gage to rock… and I love that song!! It just makes you want to dance haha not that I can dance without maiming myself or others because of my clumsiness… And my song of the day? Hmmm… Watcha Say! Love that song!

And I really really loved your Orthorexia post. One reason, not many people know about it. It needs to get more attention and be brought out in the public – I don’t think many people would even think it’s as “serious” as anorexia and bulimia.

Those pancakes look so amazingly mouthwatering! I have to remember not to torture myself by checking your daily post when I’m super hungry or else massive amounts of fruit-filled pancakes mysteriously assemble themselves in the kitchen at 3 in the afternoon. And just as mysteriously disappear : )

Song of the Day: Stay Ups by The Most Serene Republic

Besides being a beautiful song lyrically, it’s in 5/4 time which has the odd quality of making one feel like they’re being pulled onward with the song’s progress. Wonderful AND addictive!

Yum! I want some blueberry pancakes now! Too bad I will have to wait until this weekend…or tomorrow night for dinner. ;)

Oh my, those blueberry roll-ups all look soooo good. I cannot wait until fresh blueberries come into season around here. I can’t bring myself to buy them in the winter. Though I sometimes buy frozen in the winter, nothing tops a fresh blueberry.

Blueberries! I haven’t had them on pancakes in so long but this make me want them!! Yummers! Hmmmm my song of the day would have to be Just Like Heaven by the Cure. It’s all I feel like listening to today!

Your music taste sounds just like mine.

But one place where we differ: I am afraid of blueberries. This is not a lie, and I wish it were, because it just sounds STUPID.

Lady and the Tramp = awesome.

You always have creative titles to your posts. Too bad blueberries aren’t in season because those pancake roll ups look delish. Your strawberry roll ups look good too.

I’ve been MIA from the blogworld, so I’m not really up to speed on this Formspring – what’s the deal?

I used to not even like blueberries, but this year I have found a great love for them. Sweet Irish will get 2 containers of berries for the week, depending on prices, so I can munch all week. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries… sooooo delish!

I got discouraged when I saw how ingredient-intense the pancake recipes were. I’ve only been a bisquick-kinda girl the few times I’ve made my own pancakes.

It seems I’ve been eating lots of Mexican food lately, and these look like blueberry tacos and enchiladas to me!
