A few days ago, one of my dear bloggie friends asked me:
Katie, do you still read my blog?
Honestly, I’ve not been doing much blog-reading lately. It doesn’t mean I’m leaving the blogworld or that I took everyone off my Google Reader. But especially with summer/graduation coming up, I want to spend as much time with my friends in the real world as possible. So if you happen to mention me in a post and I never comment, please don’t be offended! Do send me a link, though, as I’d love to see
.
Blogging is fun, but there has to be time to live in the real world. I know a lot of you feel the same way!
.
And now back to your regularly scheduled second brekkie…
This morning’s brekkie was Oatmeal-Raisin Pudding, using the Oatmeal Pudding method
(Actually, it’s spelt flakes this time with the Oatmeal Pudding.
I like to mix it up with the grains for the sake of variety.)
.
Now, it’s back to the real world.
*Runs away… but just til tomorrow

Live your life first, blog second
Amen.
The blogworld is just fine and pretty awesome actually, but sometimes I just gotta get some air and interact with “real people”
Now I have that song stuck in my head.. “There’s gotta be more to liiiife”
Aw I remember your “Oatmeal Pudding” post when you first posted it. (I didn’t read back then, but I saw it later on when I was looking for a recipe.)
It’s one of the cutest stories
.
And the “oatmeal pudding” method is pretty awesome too, although I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!
I’ve never had spelt flakes. I don’t think I’ve even ever seen them!
looks yummy! come make me brekkie any day
Amen sister! Although I don’t have a blog, goodness knows how I get sucked into reading them all day!
I can’t see your photo. Am I the only one?
Mary,
It might be your computer
Life is definitely first on my list! I love blogging and all my blog friends and definitely read all of the blogs on my reader but I don’t always have time to comment. Family and friends are so important and I try to take advantage of being with them as much as I can. So if my school schedule isnt so crammed I can blog more but sometimes it just isn’t possible!
Yummmmmmm that breakfast looks tasty!
Girl, live your life
p.s. your post title sparked an immediate song throwback- anyone remember that song “There’s gotta be more to life, than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy meeee”
the real world… ahh the memories. no lol i totally agree. in fact i need to go to a walk soon.. get out of my den. *the light..it burns* hehe im having too much fun with this post. lol xoxo <3 enjoy the day love!

Amen! Life>Blog!
Hey Katie,
did you get my email? I sent it a few days ago, so I just wanted to check. I know you have problems with email sometimes!
I LOVE blogging, it completes me! But, I totally understand. I’m in the same boat right now where there’s just not enough time in the day to LIVE and BLOG. I wish there was though!!
Graduation, yay! But yes, it’s a stressful time of year.
Have you ever tried quinoa flakes? Very tasty and cooks so much faster than regular quinoa. Have a wonderful a perhaps blog-free weekend!
I agree with you Katie! There is time for life and time for blogging, sometimes there is not enough time for it all
Keeping up with both can be challenging. We have days when we can not keep up. No worries though. We all just do what we can right
real world? atleast you’re not getting onto world of warcraft. I need to live outside of studying… next week…
Katherine
Kate,
.
I’m sorry! I did get it, and I’ll get back to you tomorrow, I promise
healthybalance,
I’ve had a box of them in my cabinet forever! I really need to try them!
Great post! I have just joined the blogging community so I am a bit new and excited about the whole thing haha.. But I definitely can see how it takes up a good chunk of time to blog and read and comment on others blogs. Love all your recipes!

lol the comment about World of Warcraft has me cracking up!
keeping up with blogs is so hard, there are so many great ones out there. i feel ya
I wonder who asked you that
I have been trying/succeeding in living more life! And it’s been great! Today I flew to San Diego for the day, and came home 14 hrs later…and RANDOMLY something told me to come to your blog. And I confess, I don’t read every day any more. I don’t read anyone every day anymore…but yes, I had this strong, go to Katie’s blog intuition, and bam, this was waiting.
Well girl, live life! I Am doing it too! And it’s freaking wonderful! Page counts and stats will not matter when we’re 80.
oxoxo
I will never mind if you miss out a little on my blog! And I hope you feel the same. I know you’re always sending me support, and vice versa, so that’s what counts.
I feel the same way. Blogging is very time consuming! I try to read other blogs but only when I have a spare minute. What i need to do is go through my blog list and delete blogs that I never read =(
I’m so impressed that you post every day! With photos and all! Clearly, we all look forward to virtually conversing with you, but you have to be able to have some fun to blog about! Enjoy your final weeks of college, and congratulations!
