Giveaway: Fudge Babies

Helloooooo chocolate chips!

How’s your Sunday going so far? Mine’s been cooooold (it says “feels like 21 degrees” here in Dallas), but good. I just spent the morning making lots and lots of babies :).

pbbabiesnot

Of course I’m talking about Fudge Babies.

I decided the babies would make perfect Christmas gifts for all my friends. They’re quick to make, easy to wrap, and—above all—super yummy!

pbbabiesyum

So far, I’ve only made chocolate Peanut Butter Babies.

But the day’s still young.

pbbabiesnot2

Still on the agenda: Hot Chocolate Babies and Raw Macaroons.

And since I’m making babies anyway… I thought it’d be a good time for a Holiday Giveaway to thank you all for being so awesome and sweet to me, always leaving comments that brighten my day… or even just silently reading my blog.

.

To enter to win a batch of Fudge Babies:
Just comment on this post, telling me which of the Fudge Baby Flavors you want if you win.
Can’t choose just one? You can enter multiple times, as long as you write a different flavor for each entry.

Contest ends Saturday, and I’ll pick two winners 🙂 (Edit: Winner announcement on Christmas day!)

Definitely the Hot Chocolate Babies! They look so good and I’m afraid 3-4 tbsp wouldn’t be enough to satisfy my chocolate needs 😉

  2. Lisa says

Woah, please pick me! I have been wanting to try your babies FOREVER but have no blender! Darn college.
I’m going with the raw macaroons :).

  3. Mia says

I’m a slave to chocolate, so I have to choose the most chocolatey one…hot cocoa babies. I think I’m going to make myself some hot cocoa right now actually. lol

  4. Albizia says

This is sucha wonderful idea for holiday gifts, Katie! And it so nice of you to share your amazing fudge babies.

Leaving more than one comment makes me feel awkward and all the flavors seem great anyway so I’ll just go for the classic hot chocolate babies.

Is there a chance of a white Christmas in Dallas? 🙂

  5. Stefanie says

The carrot cake, mounds, and snickerdoodle babies sound great too. It is hard to choose when they all sound great. 🙂

  6. Jessica says

Ohhhh! What an amazing gift and giveaway idea!
I would love the peanut butter…I already put it in and on everything, why not fudge babies!

  7. Sarah says

I would go with the Hot Cocoa babies. ‘Fudgier than the original’? That sounds OK.

I’m confused can we just leave a comment for every single flavor and enter that many times?! I’m puttin’ all my chocolate chips in for cocoa babies baby.

  8. Lindsay says

I’ve been craving hot chocolate all December so far though…..sooo I would like to try the hot chocolate babies too!

  9. katie says

ohhhhh um um i just can’t decide, i would want a surprise if i win! but consider this an entry if i say peanut butter babies

  10. Susie says

Such a tough decision–I’ve been wanting to try these for the longest time (can’t wait ’till I go home from school and have my Magic Bullet again!). I’ll go with the hot chocolate babies, but any of them sound delicious!

  11. Megan G. says

The pumpkin pie fudge babies sound deelish. Fall may be basically over (well…here in Michigan…) but I’m not over pumpkin yet. 🙂

  12. Taya says

Yum! I wold love to try the snickerdoodle babies! I’m in the looong battle of showing my family how wonderful healthy eating is, and I think these could finally convince them! Sadly, we have no food processor to make our own. 🙁

  13. Char says

mmmmm I can practically TASTE the peanut butter cup babies & the chocolate chip cookie dough babies! I would love some of those, please! 🙂 <3

  14. Jillian says

Oh my gosh, this is so exciting!! This is your best giveaway yet!! I would pick the Peanut Butter cup babies….I love all things peanut butter!! 🙂

  15. Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free says

Yay!!! I’d love to try your fudge babies!!!! I think the gingerbread fudge babies sound good! Or maybe banana bread…or snicker doodle!

  16. Meghan says

Ah they all look so good and I’ve never made them because I don’t have a food processor! I only have one of those wimpy 1.5c processors that you hold he button down on the whole time…I love carrots, so the carrot cake babies would be awesome!

  17. Kianni says

    Raw Gingerbread 8D
Nothing makes me feel more Christmas like than the idea of gingerbread- and I’ve only had gingerbread once! That’s how comforting it is, lol, 4 years ago!

  18. melissa @ the delicate place says

you read my mind! i’m going to be making babies to give out to my friends for christmas time 🙂 however, i’d love to win the hot chocolate babies (ya know a reward for the “hard labor” that i’ll put in unbaking these 🙂

  19. Katherine says

Awesome giveaway! I would love to try some of the Hot chocolate babies.
Being a high school student at a boarding school I don’t get much fun vegan things. I am barely making it as being a boring vegan being I live in the middle of nowhere. Stupid Tennessee. I can’t wait to go to college in Portland. *dreams*
lol, but seriously, your blog is what keeps me going on some days. 🙂

  20. Katherine says

O, or Tiramisu Babies, that sounds amazing.
I added my blog as my website in case by some grace of God I get picked and I am not able to get back onto your blog since I am headed home Wednesday and I don’t know when I will have internet always.

  21. Katherine says

Chocolate Chip cookie dough also sounds delectable.
I wish the stores around here sold vegan cookie dough or something similar.
Alright, I won’t flood your comments with entries lol.

  22. Jenny says

Wow! Talk about a generous giveaway, Katie! Someone’s truly in the Christmas giving spirit! 🙂

I would probably want pumpkin pie babies!

But really… All flavours seem like they’d be amazingly delicious.. aside from coconut! (I’m allergic to coconut!)

  23. Laura @ Meet Virginia says

Oh I have ALWAYS wanted to try your famous babies! If I had to choose only one, I would pick the sex bomb babies!

  24. Laura @ Meet Virginia says

And lastly, hot chocolate babies! Crossing my fingers for some of your beautiful creations. Happy baby making! 😀

  25. Jennifer says

Katie, you are so sweet! I’d love the peanut butter babies.

(Incidentally, I made the pb babies dipped in chocolate for my department Christmas party and they were a big hit! So, thanks for the idea!)

  26. Heather Eats Almond Butter says

I’m guessing fudge babies don’t keep you up as much as real babies…and therefore I would like some as I’m in major need of middle-of-the-night snacks! Thanks for the opportunity Katie. Oh, and flavor doesn’t matter. 🙂

  27. *Andrea* says

last but not least, tiramisiu babies! ps the website told me to ‘slow down. you’re posting too quickly’ at least 3 times 😉 not my fault the giveaway is too good to be true! lol

  28. Chris says

I love fudge babies! And now so do many of my friends… but I have not yet tried Snickerdoodle babies and ’tis the season! Thanks for the chance!

  29. Izzyy says

I’ll TRY and not be greedy here – there are two of your babies that I would esspecially love to see at my doorstep. Numero uno if defs hot cocoa…especially with the weather you’re having, non?!

    izzyy
    xoxox

  30. Izzyy says

Aaaand numero deux would have to be pumpkin pie – knowing full well that both Halloween and Thanksgiving are over…just can’t get enough of that pumpkin fix!!

I restrain myself and NOT enter 475938475934 more times 😉

    izzyy
    xox

  31. Lori says

Realized I had to make some babies for Christmas so went through recipes again. Raw Gingerbread people (babies)! yes please!!

  32. Kristin says

wait i didn’t realize peanut butter cup was a choice…those might be the ultimate winner. i don’t know–you’re the fudge baby pro so i would trust you to decide for me!

  33. sarah says

i’ve NEVER posted on a blog before… but hey, there’s a first time for everything! these treats seem delicious. i’m a die hard pb addict so peanut butter babies are on the top of my list!

  34. Brandie says

Ack! 21 degrees? It was over 80 here in sunny San Diego today.. had the wee man at the park in nothin but some boxer briefs Hahahaha! It was tank tops n flips hot – where is my WINTER!!?? *sigh* 🙂
Ok, so BABIES?!? I’ll try Elvis Babies please!……..

  35. Becki @ Hike, Bike, Eat says

Original babies! I need something to take to the airport when I pick up my vegan bro and his vegan wife so they can snack on the way home 🙂 I could make them myself, but that would seriously lessen my chances of winning I think…

  36. Lola says

Katie you are so generous!!!! I’d love to try all of them of course, but the ones I’d like to try the most are Tiramisu babies!! 🙂
I want to win this so much hehehehe
    xoxo
    Lola

  37. Claire says

LOL 389 comments, clearly people want your (fudge) babies 😛
I’d opt for the carrot cake babies, simply because they’re the only ones I’ve not made yet and it would be perfect to complete the list with some made by the Master Babie Maker! (Oh so many inappropriate jokes can be made with fudge babies :D).
However I doubt Australian customs would allow these little innocent balls into the country – maybe they’re worried they’ll take Aus by storm … not that that’s a bad thing 😛
Hope your Sunday got a little warmer!

  38. Casey says

I would normally say PB Cup babies, but in an effort to branch out I would say Mounds babies. I used to love Mounds and Almond Joys!!

  39. Gloria says

That’s a great idea! I am baking for my family too. No crowds to worry about. I have fun while I’m doing it, and I get to save a cookie or 2 for myself 🙂

I’d love to try the chocolate peanut butter fudge babies!

  40. Michelle says

Ha, like there’s a chance you’ll pick me out of 400 + entries. Well, a girl can try. Put me down for snickerdoodle babies, please.

  41. Sandy in South Dakota says

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhh……..yummmmmmmmm…….Snickerdoodles or anything chocolate.
Happy Holidays and thank you for offering us some of your yummy “Babies”

  42. Jessica says

Oh Katie, how can I pick? Thanks so much for the opportunity to maybe be lucky and get some fudgies of my own! I guess I’ll choose the hot chocolate babies, although any would be nice.

  43. Amy says

I’m going to have to go with the macaroon babies. We can’t get coconut butter near me, so I am ALWAYS jealous of your coconut butter creations!

  44. Sarah from Ontario says

    Sex bomb babies!

Hey Katie, I love the idea of giving these to friends for Christmas. If I make them in advance, how long will they keep? Do they have to be refrigerated?

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

      Hey Sarah!
The babies definitely don’t have to be fridged, and they’ll keep at least a few weeks. (Longer if you freeze them.) Think of them like Larabars. Since they’re just nuts and dried fruit, there’s no refrigeration necessary :).

  45. Bonnie says

Over 500 comments?! Well, I guess I won’t be winning this one :(.
But just in case, I’d like some cookie dough babies :).

  46. Allison Conner says

This is a great giveaway, Katie! Thanks for the offer :). I’m choosing chocolate peanut butter babies. Maybe I’ll share with the husband!

  47. Theresa P. says

Hi Katie, all the babies look so YUMMMY! But being a chocoholic and peanutbutter comming in second. i would have to say the fudge babies first choice, and peanutbutter second. or peanutbutter baby dipped in chocolate.

  48. Alisa V. says

And because I absolutely love the combination of chocolate and peanutbutter. Your chocolate peanut butter babies, would come in a close second.

  49. Mandy says

I eat a chocolate chip cookie dough lara bar everyday. I’m a working mom and rarely get the time to make home-made goodies(it used to be my passion). I would love to win some chocolate chip cookie dough babies! Happy holidays!

  50. Sarah Courtney says

CC KATIE! I am a long-time follower/first-time commenter! woopwoop! I just saw you are giving away your babies! I have tried twice now to make some myself, but they came out kinda weird I mean dry. I am hugely inspired by most favorite treat LARABARS <3. I think getting some authentic CC Katie babies will re-inspire me and be really fun! My choices would be:
    Chocolate peanut butter…..

    wish me luck 🙂

    -sarah courtney

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

Aww Sarah, thanks for the sweet comment. It’s nice to “meet” you hehe :).
P.S. maybe try experimenting with different types of dates. I’ve had more success with delget noor (Sunmaid), but others like medjools… and I like them better in the Magic Bullet, because I think my Vita-mix is so high-powered that it pulverizes the babies too much. But it’s a personal preference, because I know a ton of other people like them in the vita-mix. Go figure!

  51. Sarah Courtney says

CC Katie, Anything “babie” from your kitchen would be heaven to me.

Now I’m off to look at your Thanksgiving posts to get recipe ideas for the dish I will bring to Christmas dinner.

    -Sarah Courtney

  52. RachelBethany says

accompanied by gingerbread babies! Nothing is better than hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies so a raw version sounds amazing

  53. Wendy says

I always wanted to try to make some fudge babies, but I don’t have a mixer (not even a magic bullet!). 🙁

Oh noo. So many to choose from – haha!
I think I have to go with the hot cocoa babies.

Thanks so much for having these giveaway contests, Katie! You’re awesome!

  54. Carissa says

We love the fudge babies recipe–I made some for a Thanksgiving meal and turned them into turkeys. I took a picture to show you, but I am about as tech-saavy as a pilgrim and don’t know how to get it to you. (: The fudge baby makes up the body, stuck a cashew “up front” for a turkey head and a walnut half stuck on the back is the tail feathers.
