    I love your recipes. I’m actually hoping to ask/inquire about seeing what you can do with some of my personal favorites (zucchini bread/muffins, sweet potato pie, pumpkin… stuffs. You already have all my chocolatey favorites covered!)

    I’ve made variations on your macaroons and faked-out lara bars, more than a few of your pancakes & a semi-failed attempt at oatmeal boats… everything you post is solid gold in my book!

    I have gotten my whole family and all my friends addicted to your babies! Fudge babies were the first, and then my husband got addicted to the cashew babies, we make the gingerbread babies during cold weather, and on and on!

    I’ve made my own coconut butter thanks to you and went on to use it in your chocolate fudge recipe – so nice to have fudge that isn’t sickeningly sweet!

    I’ve tried your chocolate chip blondie dip and loved it, although hubby wasn’t a fan. Shouldn’t have told him it was based on beans!

    But by far, the babies are the runaway favourite in our house!

    My favorite recipe of yours is probably the technique for Volume Ice Cream… though I can’t say I’ve ever made it exactly by the recipe. I mean well, but then the urge to throw in, say, a handful of pureed strawberries or some peanut butter is just too overwhelming.

    Hi Katie!! I have tried as many recipes I can squeeze into my “free time”… since I found you (last week) :0) I just tried your PBfudge last night…. and aaaamazing!! I wanted to try the PB&J fudge… but couldn’t get my husband on board… he is a strict chocoholic and won’t eat dessert unless it has chocolate in it… and he has requested your single lady…er.. “ManCake” he likes to call it ;0) EVERY night since I first tried it last week. (he takes his with chocolate chips)… I tried your ranch… and must have done something wrong because it wasn’t good 🙁 I’m thinking I’ll try again with the brand of tofu and veggie cubes YOU recommend. I think you picked a good variety of recipes (I have only tried the cookie dough dip) and YUM! I pretty much LOVE all of the recipes I have tried! I reeeeally want to try some of your pancakes and “boatmeals” but am trying to limit extra carbs lately… I will have to try them on my weekly “cheat nights”… (on my diet that is…) ;0) Thank you again Katie for your genius recipes and devotion to your followers!!

    I’m still new to reading your blog but I’ve made the single pb cookies twice now, with both agave and the sugar/brown sugar way (I like the dry one better, by the way lol) but they are delish!!! And I did the blueberry breakfast pizzert and YUM!! the kid and the hubby loved. And I made the single lady cupcake as a dry run for my son’s birthday and they were all soooo yummy! But my favorite EVER that I make daily, is the almond milk ice cream for 40 calories!! OMG! I’m addicted lol I’m going to continue working my way through your recipes 🙂

    I have tried many of your recipes and I really like them not only because of the taste but also because of the simplicity. I am just not the kind of girl who likes using a million ingredients or staying for hours in the kitchen for a single treat that disappears much faster than it was made. My most favorite recipes are the vegan Thanksgiving stuffing, the single lady cupcakes and the 3-ingredient peanut butter balls. Simple, yet delicious!

    I’ve tried your voluminous oatmeal (but didn’t really succeed! I used a stove), raw cookie dough pops, most of your pancakes, baked oatmeal, Pizzert, tofu whipped cream, voluminous ice cream with many variations… I’m sorry I haven’t tried most! I really want to try your delicious beany desserts but its so difficult to find canned, cooked, unsalted beans here! Sigh. I managed to buy garbanzo beans once but they’re out of stock… again.
    I want to try (desperately) after my A levels your rasberry crumble bars with grapes instead, chocolate cookie pie, carrot cake, brownie batter dip, chocolate fudge cake, healthy chocolate chip cookies and lots more…I’m not too into milkshake though. BUT your creativity continually amazes me 😀

    I have to say that the strawberry shortcake pancakes are my fave! why? I LOVE pancakes & I love strawberries! Its easy to make & so delicious (I have pancakes almost every day!!)
    I also love many many other recipes, but that one is my all time fave 🙂

    I’ve tried your cake batter milkshake, mint chocolate chip milkshake, banana & snickerdoodle pancakes, ranch dressing, pizzert, snickerdoodle dip, and boatmeal! My favorites are the mint chocolate chip shake and snickerdoodle dip!

    Next on my list to try from your recipe page are the blondies and chocolate-raspberry fudge cake!

    Um no, there is no way I can pick a favorite. I’ve tried every single one of the ones you mentioned, though. Pretty cool, huh? You’ve never let me down with your recipes yet, Katie :).
    Oh, and I have to agree with Kate that I really have a soft space in my heart for the fudge daddies.
    Also, I just made your pb single lady cookie last night, and somehow a single lady cookie became three. It was just too good to only make one!

    I love the single-lady cupcake. I’ve tried so many yummy variations of it. It’s perfect for a quick fix when I want a pastry. The “Not Guilty” cookies are also my faves though I can eat a whole batch of 10 : ) The blueberry pie pancakes, those are like dessert for breakfast. I have a whole list I plan on making eventually too.

    I love your mushroom stroganoff (although I often modify the recipe based on what I have on hand). I’ve also tried your brownie batter dip this week (yummy!!!). Oh, and I made a half a recipe of your healthy chocolate chip cookies the other day, and just ate the batter :} (it was too hot to turn on the oven anyway)…. 😉 Your recipes are pure genius, and your photos are awesome, but most of all, I really enjoy your writing style and personality!     I’ve tried several of your recipes and liked them all! My favorite is the oatmeal trick which has become my daily breakfast with sliced strawberries and chocolate chips mixed in for a chocolate-covered strawberry bowl. I’ve also tried and liked the deep dish pie, the mint milkshake (which I accidentally colored blue but it was still yummy), the raw chocolate pie and the fudge babies. Keep the yummy recipes coming!

    Yes! The roasted chick peas were awesome! I also intend to try making the Chocolate Chip Blondies. Unfortunately I’m a lot like my Grandma. I love reading recipes but when it comes to cooking we ignore them and do our own thing anyway 😛

    Another thing I have to admit is that I hate (hate!) cleaning the blender. I was out and about yesterday, book shopping in second hand stores to be honest, and I came across a vintage peanut butter maker! It was the coolest thing. You put your peanuts in the hopper on top and peanut butter is supposed to flow out of the spout on the side. I had visions of making my own coconut butter in it but 2 things stopped me: one was the cleaning of it and the other was the price. Because it was “vintage” from the 60’s or 70’s they wanted an arm and a leg for it!

    I have tried your deep dish chocolate chip cookie, cookie dough batter dip, frozen hot chocolate and fudge babies. I LOVE YOUR RECIPES!! This weekend, I’m going to make the Brownie Batter dip. Oh, I also really love your banana trick w/ oatmeal. I’m a huge oatmeal fan! Keep up the awesome recipes!

    I brought your blondies to work for a potluck. No one knew they had beans in them!!!!

      I always get excited to hear that people are tricked by the bean blondies! I only wish someone had tricked me (as opposed to me trying them for the first time, already knowing what was in them). I always wonder if I would’ve been able to tell!

    i want to make the cake batter milk shake sooo bad- but I dont have coconut oil! It looks so amazing though- and that chocolate chip blondie dip looks identical to the bowl of cookie dough I made last night, and err, possibly ate some of 😉

    I have tried tons of your recipes and all were a huge success!
    You chose good ones, but I would also add Deep Dish Cookie Pie and your Oatmeal recipes! And your salty recipes are awesome, too. Tofu scramble, for example. Also I love your brownies that include tofu. Oh gosh, it is really hard to choose now that I think about it! I have never tried a single of your recipes I didn´t like. All recipes are awesome.

    I’ve been meaning to try the volumnious ice cream, although first I have to find a non-dairy milk that I actually like. There are a few I don’t mind disguised in a smoothie, but none by themselves. But then even when I could handle dairy I didn’t like milk by itself. It always had to be mixed with something. I have made fudge and a smoothie recipe I believe were yours. I’m constantly getting ideas from blogs and I’m horrible at remembering exactly where I got them, although I’m trying to keep them all in a folder in my e-mail so I’ll start being better about it!

    Oh my YES, Katie! You’re babies are amazing and had to slap my sister away from my bowls of “baby dough” or they wouldn’t have made it to the Christmas dessert table. She was begging me for the tiramisu recipe. I’ve passed along the Samoa baby recipe to many drooling fans and I ate my entire first batch out of the bowl. I was naughty and didn’t offer a taste to my husband as I knew he’d steal it away from me. 🙂

    I’m actually making the CC Blondies for a party tonight. The coconut banana frosting is AMAZING! My only flop was the agar agar whipped cream….it was more like thick soup with an odd taste. Any helpful hints? Thanks for blogging and passing along such fun yummies to all of us!

      I have absolutely no problems making the whipped cream in the wintertime… but come summertime, it’s very fickle! One day it works, another it doesn’t. I actually haven’t made it in a while because of this. I got frustrated and came up with something new– the volume ice cream. I guess it also depends on what liquid you use. I have much better success with the agar base when made with almond breeze than Silk!

    The hot chocolate butter is a big favorite here. I actually bought the vanilla stevia drops you recommended and have absolutely fallen in love! I made your genius blondies but made them into maple blondies and slathered the HCB on the top. Absolutely delish! I even got my husband (who doesn’t like vegan foods) to try the blondie, and he liked it. I was really surprised.

    I love the oatmeal trick, too.

    I’m going to try making some single lady cupcakes later, and maybe the strawberry shortcake pancakes for breakfast tomorrow, depending on if I can find some good strawberries right now.

    I have been using the voluminous oatmeal recipe since last year (before I started reading your blog, but I think the blog I found it on linked it back to your original recipe).

    I have saved a TON of your recipes, but haven’t made them yet (shame). I think my first ones will be cookie dough dip, chocolate cookie pie, berry crumble bars, and much much more.

    Hi Katie! This is just a random post, but I didn’t know where to put it. I read this comment and thought of you and how you don’t like supersweet things 🙂

    “Not everyone has the same amount of taste buds.
    According to Nicholas Bower, MD, district medical director at MedExpress, the average adult has between 2,000 and 10,000 taste buds. People who have more than 10,000 are considered to be “supertasters” because they taste things more intensely. “Research has shown that supertasters don’t like vegetables very much because they taste bitterness so intensely,” says Dr. Bartoshuk. “They also may find very sweet desserts, like crème brûlée, to be over-the-top sugary.” To find out where you fall on the taste spectrum, Dr. Bartoshuk recommends an easy at-home test: Apply a couple of drops of blue food color to your tongue and swallow a few times. Then examine your tongue’s surface; fungiform papillae won’t pick up the dye, so they’ll look like pink polka dots on a blue background. If your tongue appears to be almost solid pink, then you have tons of fungiform papillae and may be a supertaster.”

    I’ve tried the high protein mushroom stroganoff but would love to try more of your recipes.

    I’m just so terribly lazy when it comes to the kitchen, and baking in particular! I’m also a bit intimidated by sweet things and scared that they’ll go wrong in my clumsy hands. Really there’s no excuse for not trying the Deep Dish Cookie Pie or Cookie Dough Dip/other blendable chickpea recipes though. I must find some vegan choc chips ASAP (so hard to find where I live!)

    i just made your cookie dough cake (the oatmeal), i doubled the recipe and ended up with 5 muffin sized cakes! and then since i already had all the ingredients out already- i decided to make your chocolate chip cookies! they are delicious, my mom and i approve! 🙂

    I made your healthy chocolate chip cookies and was pleasantly surprised. They didn’t exactly taste like normal chocolate chip cookies (and mine didn’t look as pretty as the photos!), but they were still pretty darn good.

    As a side note, I had one questions:

    Can you used sweetened coconut when making coconut butter? My grocery store doesn’t carry unsweetened 🙁

    I realize it may sort of be a duplication of your recipes page but you could put even more on there. Like one from within the recipe theme. One cookie dough ball, one pancake, one dessert/bean-based dip, but I am not sure if those are your favorites but I’d say put them on there!

      But then the downside (besides the cost!) is that it isn’t as personal.

    My favorites are definitely your oatmeal and pudding recipes (and “yogurt”) and your SHAKES especially, and (of course!) your fudge babies! Oh, and the Snickerdoodle Blondies truly ARE genius–though I completely leave out the sugar and blend in raisins instead (I tweaked the recipe around a little). (I’m also working on crafting a recipe for “brunettes,” which will be like espresso-flavored blondies? or maybe just chocolate? I’m not sure yet.) I think I’ve tried at least half of your recipes. Breakfast is definitely my favorite meal of the day, so I LOVE a lot of those recipes (especially “all things oatmeal”). <333 And I use quite a few raw fruit & nut-type of recipes for snacks. (-;
    I definitely want to try some of your recipes that use coconut extract, like in puddings and such (I also want to try making some of my own recipes with it) but they don't carry the real stuff at Publix (just imitation).

      Also… I think my coconut extract is probably immitation. It says “all natural” but I don’t know if that means it’s the real stuff or just that it doesn’t contain chemicals. It says the ingredient is “coconut flavoring.” In any case, I bought it at Target.

        Thanks! It kind of makes me want to find a way to do “gingers,” haha. 🙂 Maybe you could make them red with those adzuki beans?
        I’ve been snooping around for true coconut extract… I think they might have it at some health food stores, but I’m not really sure. It’s probably expensive if they do (isn’t the good stuff almost always?). Huh. I’m not really sure what “coconut flavoring” is, either.

    I have been wanting to make your ice creams, but I don’t have a powerful enough blender to make them. tear.

      I’m going to try and post more blender-friendly (as opposed to needing a vita) recipes soon! I was originally going to do a healthy frappuccino post that needed a vita, but I tweaked it so now it works for all blenders :).

    your recipes have all been hits with the people i have made them for! i have tried many fudge baby variations, all yummy. my fiance loves to make the choco syrup with agave and cocoa powder for his ice cream and i just last night made my first batch of choco chip blondies. they were a ht at the bar b que we went to. sooo good!

    I made the raspberry cobbler bar one time. Except made it with blueberries. It was amazing, everyone loved them. I made it for a potluck, I was the only vegan/vegetarian. Everyone ate them…all of them.

    Great job on fixing up the recipes page and blogroll!! I have tried quite a few of your recipes and may i say yo have officially shown me that you can be vegan and eat more than just veggies all the time. Actually youve shown me I can still eat alot of my favorite foods and still be healthy!! It really helped me form a much healthier relationship with food and healthy fats!! The first recipe i ever tried and my favorite still today is the volumous oatmeal!!! I love all the flavors!! I also love the healthy icecreams and milkshakes!! I cant wait to try some of the blondies and experiment with some of your bean recipes!! Keep those yummy recipes coming!!!

    Love the single serve cookies and not guilty cookies. I made the the PB cookies with almond butter, stevia baking blend and earth balance! They were yummy! I notice the stevia baking blend makes my baked goods a little more crumbly, but still yummy. I have a recipe substitution question if you have a chances 🙂 …I have a cookie recipe that calls for 1/2 cup of maple syrup which I would like to reduce, but because it is a liquid I don’t want to mess up the consistency…I was thinking make up the difference with applesauce and/or nondairy milk. I welcome your suggestions!

      Honestly, I really don’t know! I have to experiment for each individual recipe because each one is different… also, I’m not a trained chef, so I don’t really know the ins and outs of baking very well. I’m sure a real chef could probably tell you exactly what you have to add/subtract to get the right texture. But for me, I just have to experiment!Good luck, though!

    The chocolate chip dip and the strawberry pancakes look to-die-for. Honestly, upon first looking at these photos, my impulse is, “I can’t eat that,” because I still sometimes unfortunately have this very wrong tic in my head that anything so scrumptious looking couldn’t be vegan.

    LUCKILY this couldn’t be further from the truth, and I’m so pleased your website is the banner of that truth for all omnivores out there who have this mindset!! I am constantly recommending your site because your recipes are so easy and yet make such tasty things. 🙂 They show it’s not hard at all to make a vegan food that looks and tastes just as scrumptious or better than any foods with animal products in them.

    I have made “babies” before 😛 LOL but I did an improper job and they didn’t want to mold into little ball shapes like I’d hoped, so I just ate the concoctions straight out of my magic bullet’s cup 🙂

    I’ve tried tons of your recipes even before I started my blog! Everything you make is simple and doesn’t need weird ingredients, so it’s easy to just pop into the kitchen and whip something up. 🙂

    My favorites: cinnamon raisin oatmeal, agar pudding, fudge babies, cake batter milkshake, pizzerts

    I actually JUST tried out your mushroom stroganoff (I’m late to the party, I know!)

    It was really, really good. And I liked the boozy edge using mirin gave it. I think I may try adding in a pinch of brewer’s yeast next time for a more powerful, funky flavor.

    One of your recipes that I make most often is the single-lady cupcake, though I make the recipe a smidge bigger so it’s a single lady cake instead! I usually eat it with coconut butter, which you also introduced me to (a thousand thanks for that) (actually, just thanks in general!)

    I only recently stumbled across your blog, and the very first recipe I tried out was the cake batter milkshake. It was awesome! (though I may have un-vegan-ified it)

    However, I am currently smitten with your vegan fudge recipe. I made the coconut banana butter for some sweet potato and beet hash I whipped up. And now I’m waiting for some cherry almond (+ hint of cardamom) fudge to finish setting in the fridge. It barely made it in. And my girlfriend was super stoked to find out about the pumpkin version. Her favorite candy shoppe carries pumpkin fudge during the winter months, but she’s been passing on it as it contains ingredients she no longer eats. I had been thinking of ways (like, for the past two years) to make it utilizing the foods she does eat, and this fits the bill! So thanks!

      That makes me SO happy! Oh, and you reminded me I need to make the pumpkin version again. I always seem to forget about pumpkin in the summer… kinda like your gf’s favorite candy shoppe! Poor pumpkin! 😉

    I would LOVE it if you made like a chocolate spread! Something that would be good on toast, or something like that! I adore chocolate also, but i don’t really like nutella.
