I don’t. I think the closest thing I have to “plain” would be the oatmeal-cookie pancakes. But you could probably just leave the blueberries and cinnamon out of the blueberry-pie pancakes and have a plain, basic pancake.

I was watching the Travel channel today and saw a place in Nashville, TN that serves sweet potato pancakes. I thought SWEET POTATOES! That would be PERFECT! Of course their non-vegan recipe is a closely guarded secret.

YES!! I’ve been to that place, just a few days ago,and got the sweet potato pancakes! They were so good and i was looking for a recipe for sweet potato pancakes but you don’t have one:( I now will have to experiment by myself.:) But I still love your blog and love the healthy recipes, even though I’m not vegan.
        Thanks

    Hi Katie,

I recently discovered your blog and absolutely love your unique recipe ideas! I thought your white bean recipes are so creative and was wondering if you’d ever tried making white bean pancakes?

I took your blueberry pie pancake recipe and morphed it into “cranberry pumpkin pie” pancakes. I throw oats into all of my pancake recipes because they don’t add gluten but do add lots of fiber, and raw oats cook in so that they’re undetectable.

Thanks for that tip about melting bananas, and they really are sweet and yummy!

I may be giving up your wesite for Lent. Your cookie pie and cookie dough dip are too yummy. We will be making your apple pie pancakes tonight and then I think I may have to lay off your recipes until Easter. 🙂

Hey Katie, I don’t know if you counted them as gluten free recipes or not, but I have tried every single pancake recipe on your site using gluten-free all purpose flour and they all turned out fabulous! (and delicious, might I add!) They didn’t even need xanthan gum to stay together!

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

Wow, thanks for letting me know! I’m really glad you took the time to tell me… because now I can tell other people when they ask. I need practice when it comes to gf baking, but I’m really trying to learn because I know it’s important to a lot of people to avoid gluten!

I used your pancake recipes as a template to make used some “fig newton” pancakes! I was wondering if you’d be interested in working on a new recipe using figs and perfecting the idea? My recipe came out pretttyyyy good, then again, I love fig newtons 🙂

Anyway, it’s just something I thought I’d throw out there, I adore all of your recipes and create a lot of recipes on my own, usually inspired by something you’ve created already though. I wish I could have a healthy dessert blog! It seems like so much fun. Ah well, I’ll just continue to entice people with daily photos and recipes on my Facebook. haha.

Maybe you could come up with a recipe for some type of pumpkin pancakes? I love anything pumpkin, and that just sounds amazing. 🙂
I wanted to tell you too, you’re such an inspiration. I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, just trying to stay healthy, but every time I go on your site, I end up not being able to leave and bookmark like 10 recipes, haha. Keep up the good work, Katie! 🙂

I absolutely love your blueberry pancakes!
There are so Delish and plump and I make them on a regular basis!
I’m not vegan myself, but I do enjoy more lentils etc than meat, and all your recipes are so much healthier!

I changed the blueberry pancakes to cheese and spinach!
I really felt like cheese but also pancakes!
So I just omitted the vanilla, sweetener, berries, and cinnamon, and added pepper, cheese, spinach and some herbs and they were amazing!
Your recipes are so versitle and changeable, I love them!

    Thanks Katie!

Hi Katie! I have not tried any of your recipes yet but look forward to doing so soon. We just found out my husband is diabetic and I’m sure I’ll be trying out a lot of your goodies in the near future. I was wondering though, do you by chance have a regular pancake recipe without white flour that would rival just plain good old fashion pancakes? My husband love pancakes but he likes them just plain…no syrup. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for sharing your awesome talent!
