Darn! I am not single and can’t help you there. Although I am very happily married, I have a few single friends and a single cousin who I am very close with. On occasion I am a little envious of her singledom because she can live where ever she pleases, pick up and move whenever she wants, and leave makeup and clothes all over the floor.

I love being single. I can’t imagine having to juggle school, running, work, and a relationship right now. I can’t even handle myself sometimes! My favorite part about being single, is doing whatever I want, when I want. I guess that is selfish of me, but I have no desire to be in a relationship right now!

Hey, whats with the sexism? Being a single guy is pretty awesome too… cause you can play video games in bed as late as you want!!! AND have graham crackers for breakfast again. MMMMM, graham crackers.
You and Brad make a really cute couple! I’m thinking that with your pretty face and his gorgeous looks, you could make the People cover for sure
The best part is being able to be selfish. Also:
-not feeling guilty having girls nights whenever you want
-not having to worry about keeping ‘someone’ company at family functions so they don’t feel out of place
-not getting into fights
-being able to spend more time alone relaxing

YAY! For being single that is. I love that I am able to dor whatever I want whenever I want. I love being in my PJ’s (all the time), eating a salad for three meals if I want, having spur of the moments trips and most of all HAVING THE ENTIRE BED TO MYSELF! Yippy to that. There is nothing worse than having your BF all over your side. I am a little older than you so you may not have had this issue yet…but you will and when you do you will think…”I loved being single!”

This is a tough question to answer, but I think the best part about being single is having the opportunity to really know yourself and come into your own. It’s a good time for reflection and growth.

Hmmm, I´d say the best thing about being single is, that you are able to focus on your own needs, and spiritual growth. Breaking up means losing a lot of things, but then again being an independent individual makes you a true winner after all. I am thankful for experiencing singlehood after an arduous longterm relationship!

Hi Katie, I’m soooo behind yet again on blog reading.
Sorry to hear abouta break up, but I honestly love love love being single. I haven’t gotten nearly enough time to be single in the past and I think it’s awesome.
For instance, tonight (a Friday night!) I put on comfy pj’s and glasses at 5 pm, ate veggie sushi, drank a glass of wine, read foodie magazines, and cleaned…exactly what I wanted to do and things I’d never get the chance to do on regular basis when there is a silly boy.
It’s also wonderful to have girls nights without guilt, hang out with guy friends with no worries of jealousy, and flirt as much as you want
Hey! Seems like newfound singledom has been a trend lately, but I’m also focusing on all the good.
I’m excited to plan a lot of traveling around for next spring, working abroad, and not having to worry about leaving anyone behind. Not to mention hopefully meeting cute foreign boys
I also like not worrying about what I look like when I leave the apartment, whether I remembered to shave my legs and staying in at night eating endless bowls of ice cream sundaes with zero judgment!
I love being single because right now I admit I like to be selfish and enjoy all my time with how I want to! Plus living alone in my apartment is SO peaceful!
the best thing about being single is independence! you can do anything spontaneously…like deciding to randomly travel to Europe or live in Colorado!

But, I can tell you the one thing I miss about being single … cooking for just me. Men always need a big meal and a different one each time. Sometimes I would just be happy with a big old bowl of steamed broccoli.
Being single? Having freedom…your time is your own. I’m currently sitting in the happy medium of a “sort of” relationship though…your post made me wonder how long it will balance there before it falls one way or the other.
Favorite part of being single?? Waking up early and going to bed early = )
