Remember how I mentioned I was going to a party on Tuesday and I’d write more about it later? Welcome to later!
The party was for a group, called Circle of Friends, that pairs children with special needs with a buddy and plans fun events. This past Tuesday’s event was a karaoke and dance party. Since I didn’t ask permission to post most of the kids’ pictures, you don’t get to see the huge smiles on their faces… but believe me, everyone had a terrific time.

I didn’t show up empty-handed. (Do I ever go to a party empty-handed?) The yellow sheet cake I baked and decorated was gone almost before I set it down on the table!
Here’s a pic of me, with my favorite friend 🙂

oh my goodness. “bug”=big hehe
That is so sweet of you to bake for them. I LOVE the groups name, “circle of friends.”
That’s great that you’re getting involved with special needs kids. They tend to be neglected by many.
Kids in general need good role models and someone OUTSIDE of their normal lives to mingle with.
They must have been really happy and appreciative. I sort of already am. LOL.
weirdo—>me 😀
You are so adorable! You just seem like such a kind person and that cake is great! Also, it’s nice to see someone my age who looks really young – I’m 22 and I’m always mistaken for a 16 year old!! Do you ever get that?
That is such a nicely decorated cale- no wonder it got eaten so quickly! I bet it was just as tasty as it is pretty!
Your cake is so cute, I see a vegan bakery in your future!!
You are such a sweet girl! Volunteering to help animals and children with special needs? You’re my hero! 🙂

That is such a pretty cake! How did you draw so well with icing?? We have a program in at my school (McGill) similar to yours. Ours is called “Best Buddies”. Cant wait to see your next post…
Take Care!

You are just precious! And so is that cake. I bet those kids were thrilled. I know I would have been if someone set a cute cake like that in front of me!
