Katie-I love your site and everything, but vegan really isn’t good for you. I know because within two weeks of when I went vegan I was having a host of health problems. Convinced veganism would heal my body I stuck to it-for about 4 months. I ate what YOU call balanced meals high in calories and no white flour or sugar, but I was dangerously underweight. I started Paleo 2 1/2 months ago and I’ve gained 39 pounds of mostly muscle without working out. Every problem I’d gotten is gone, at my last checkup my doctor said I was in “top physical condition” (Which I’ve NEVER gotten before) and everyone comments on how thick and pretty my hair is now. I still eat about the same amounts of protein, fat and carbs but from different food sources. I now know what foods are ACTUALLY good for my body.

Hey Katie I LOVE your grain free recipes-could you please create more? I’m corn, oat, gluten and soy free. Thanks!
@Callie-That’s not very polite, but I have to agree with you. I had almost an identical experience with paleo and vegan. It’s too bad CCK is a vegan blog and not a healthy paleo blog
@Katie-why don’t you use eggs from happy hens? If you raised your own free range chickens for the eggs you’d know it was cruelty free!
I need a gluten free semi healthy recipe for my sister’s bday. She is pregnant and has gestational diabetes. I’d like to surprise her!

Check out chocolatecoveredkatie.com/tag/gluten-free , which has all the recipes that can be gluten-free. You may want to try the chocolate chip peanut butter bars made with oat flour or sorghum flour.
When do you add in the extras like chocolate chips or cherry chunks? After it starts to freeze in container or at the beginning?
I LOVE your recipies. My calorie counting app always calculates more calories than your nutrition label states per serving. And, unfortunately, it counts it as higher calories per serving than your label. Why does this happen? Wish it was the other way around 😉

It depends on the specific ingredients you use. For example, dairy milk has a ton more calories than something like Silk cashewmilk!
Hello Kate: how can i contact you please..
I just wanted to know for your not bake peanut butter pie, what is the ingredients to make the crust…..Thanks..
I am just starting to make your cookies. The ingredients sound fine and I appreciate the nutritional information but I am trying to watch my sugar intake. is there any easy way to determine the sugar content of a cookie using the nutritional information you already provide?
Why can’t I print Pumpkin Bread in a Bowl recipe?
Sometimes if I can’t print some of the recipes, I highlight everything and copy past it in Word document.
Have you ever thought of making a healthier version of Fairy Bite Cookies? There are some out there, but not dairy free or vegan friendly, and they’re still kind of high in calories.
Those sound fun! Maybe something like this? https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2014/12/09/sugar-cookie-bars/

A couple quick questions, please. I do not have a food processor, just a stand mixer. Will this suffice for the black bean brownies?
Also, which brand food processor do you recommend for the brownie (and future recipes)??
Greetings from Dakar, Senegal!!
I recently discovered your blog and i love it!! Is it possible to make your own cream cheese?
Sure! Just google “vegan cream cheese recipe”
Thanks for the How to Start a blog page!

I love all of your recipes. About the book Hello Breakfast are you planning on selling it through Amazon?
Hi, it’s not sold on amazon, but you can order it anywhere in the world (no shipping!) from this link and get it instantly on your computer 🙂 https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?c=cart&ejc=2&cl=317681&i=1513254
Hello Katie, I purchased and downloaded your scrumptious Breakfast cook book last week, and now I can’t find it. Would you have any tips about where that might be saved? (PC Windows XP)
Hi, emailed you.
My husband has to follow a gluten free diet and also has type 2 diabetes. He still wants to eat cakes and biscuits occasionally so I wondered if any of your recipes would be suitable for me to bake for him.
Hi, here is a link to all of Katie’s recipes that are or can be gluten-free. If you pick out some that sound good, then the best bet is to make sure with his doctor that they’re ok for his particular case, as all cases and dietary restrictions might not be the same for every Diabetic. I do know that a lot of Katie’s readers with Diabetes like using the xylitol option when she includes it in a recipe instead of sugar. Hope that helps! https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/tag/gluten-free/
Hi! I love CCK recipes and I want to subscribe to the emails, but when I hit to subscribe it says I do not have access. I have never had trouble subscribing to a websites emails. Could you help me navigate this?
Hmm very strange. I just send a confirmation email – let me know if it doesn’t work!

From one Chocoholic to another – I have a question. I am never hungry for breakfast, so I don’t typically eat anything big (more like I force myself to eat something because “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” has been drilled into my head). I do, however, have a slight (okay, maybe slightly more than slight) obsession with chocolate soy milk, so I get one of my 16oz tumblers and fill it up. Voilà, breakfast! My question is this: is that a bad choice on my part? It fills me up until lunchtime, but am I missing out on something by sticking to the soy milk? Thanks!
Katie is not a nutritionist so unfortunately can’t legally give medical advice, but I would suggest reaching out to a certified nutritionist, either in person or online.

This is a great post. I am one of the smaller bloggers and I found you because you left a comment on mine:) Loving all of the connections and knowledge that blogging offers. I am tagging this one as a resource for me. thanks!
Hi Katie, I guess I should have read some comments on here before ordering your book. I was not aware that this was an ebook, I was excited to get an actual book to sit on the shelf along side your other cookbook! Please help! (If you can)
No problem at all, and sorry for the trouble. Let us know if you didn’t get a full refund just now! We really wish it could have been a hardcover book 🙁

Have you ever tried to make Challah bread? I’ve been dying to find a recipe that produces great texture while using Stevia and Apple sauce instead of oil. Bonus points if it can also be done in a bread maker!
I love your blog! I use your recipes all the time and I really love the ones I’ve tried. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and these really hit the spot, particularly the blender muffins and cookie doughs. I made the chocolate blender muffins today and was wowed, and I had to let you know! I have also been looking for a solid recipe for vegan Alfredo sauce and your vegan cheese sauce was just right! Thanks for all your hard work and amazing recipes!

Katie were you on life in pieces? I was just telling my husband that the girl on the plane looked like you and the girl said that she was obsessed with chocolate. I am a big fan. I have written you before telling you how helpful you are for me since I am allergic to milk, soy and eggs. Thank you for all you do. helen
Ha, it was not her, but that is too funny! Now we want to look up the episode to see!

Katie I love your nummy treats! Can you have a search field for low carb? Or tell me which of your treats are high in yummy chocolatyness and low in carb? I have been looking through all of them and its driving me crazy!!!
I think all of the ones that are grain free would be pretty low in carbs. Dark chocolate and peanut butter and ingredients like that are pretty low carb. So any of the raw recipes probably also would be as well.
I can tell you put a lot of time and thought into your answers. Great job, Katie! i wish you always succes
Could you please figure out a recipe using these chocolate chip molds? Chocolate chips are huge at our house, but I know they are not good for my kids with dairy, soy, REFINED SUGAR. Please figure out something with these. We want chocolate chips that are paleo or GAPS! Thanks.

Would I be able to purchase a hard copy of this breakfast book? I love recipe books and have of yours already.
Hi! The closest thing we have is a printable version that many readers are getting because then they can have a hard copy to hold in their hands. Could that possibly work? If not, no worries… We definitely wish there were an actual hardcover version available!
hey katie I’ve tried many of your recipes and they taste very good but I was wondering do you know how to make butterscotch meringue pie??

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I have anaphylaxis and have followed a few of your wonderful recipes and have been really surprised I actually made some sweet treats that were edible 🙂
Until last year I lived in Texas but have now moved back to UK. I would like to purchase e copy of your new book in paper copy, will it be available soon?
Hi, I’m on the media team for Chocolate Covered Katie and hopefully can help! Do you mean that you want an e copy or you want a paper copy? Right now we have the e version available and also a PDF printable version that a lot of readers are getting so that they can print it out and have a hard copy to hold in their hands 🙂
I tried the instant pot version of sticky sesame cauliflower….. Taste was good but limp cauliflower and runny sauce. 🙁

thanks for your great recipes. Your blog is so fun and I love that your recipes are healthy, yummy and full of real food, too. I have used your chocolate mug cake recipe in my Juice Plus healthy kids clubs. We get together to do activities or make recipes to help families be more healthy. The kids loved their mug cakes. I wanted to ask you if you keep your income options open. We are having so much fun and are always looking for like minded people to join in inspiring healthy living. Let me know. Have a wonderful day.

I spent a lot of time and money on one of your recipes for a special occasion and even though I followed it exactly, it was a disaster and I’m sure it would be again because pineapple and coconut milk do not set solid.
I wanted to leave you a one star feedback and my I got message to say my feedback had been adjusted to 5 stars. Why bother to ask for feedback if you can’t accept it. I won’t use your site again because one of my values is honesty.
So go on, remove this. Hopefully you will have to read it before you do or does your computer do that for you as well?
Hi Jacqueline, I’m on the media team for Chocolate Covered Katie, and I am so sorry for your experience. We absolutely do not change reviews or take down negative reviews (you can find negative reviews on some of the recipes if you scroll through, as well as recipes that don’t have five stars). I’m not sure what email you got, but we did update the rating plugin yesterday and it’s been known to sometimes do strange things such as give 0 star reviews when someone meant to leave 5 – it’s a free plugin we’re using, so does have issues from time to time, but I went in and do see that the most recent rating in our system on any recipe is a 1 star review for a pineapple recipe. So although you may have gotten an email, the rating does remain intact. I hope that makes you feel better about the integrity of this site, although we are definitely sorry the recipe did not work for you, because of course we’d much prefer if all of the recipes always worked well for everyone. We do value honest criticism, and the only comments we will ever remove are those that either use profanity or attack other readers (although some comments do initially get flagged for moderation if they contain trigger words that are commonly found in spam comments).

Hi Katie! Love your blog and book.
I got your book for Christmas and I love cake pops and I see that you have a recipe for them. I also see that is chocolate. I don’t particularly like chocolate all the much, at least for cake. I prefer vanilla. I don’t want to change the consistency but I would like to know what I can do so that it’s not chocolate flavored.
Hi! Try this recipe, and just roll into cake pops once baked 🙂

Hi Katie! I really really want to make the avocado/chocolate mousse, however, I’m being extra careful with my sugar these days. Would it be a total disaster if I snuck in some granulated erythritol sweetner instead of maple syrup? Thanks!
You never know unless you experiment! Be sure to report back for others if you do 🙂

I made this bread and it tasted amazing. I was wondering, can this be made into muffins too, using a 12 piece muffin tin? If so, what would the cooking time be?
Hi sorry, what bread? This is the faq page 🙂

Can u use brie French soft cheese as the cream cheese in the chocolate frosting recipe
fyi — i dont know what this is but its definitely NOT an FAQ page.
are your recipes all vegetarian or vegan?
All of Katie’s recipes are vegan as long as vegan options are used for things like “milk of choice” or other such ingredients where you can use vegan options (nondairy yogurt, etc). 🙂
I am sugar free, dairy free, and flour free. I’ve changed my eating habits drastically, I am a sugar addict and realized that I can’t have sugar at all. Is there a fat bomb recipe that I could use that tastes great, is filling, and had a little hint of sweet to it without the added sugar. I’m probably asking for the world here. Fat bombs are the only treat I let myself have that is a bit of an indulgence.
I love your recipes and have tried quite a few. Thanks for all you do to help all of us eat more healthy options.
Hi Renee! She does have a fat bombs recipe 🙂
