- 2 avocados
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 6-8 tbsp pure maple syrup, or sweetener of choice
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 oz chocolate chips, optional for richer flavor
Be sure to use soft, ripe avocados. Discard the peels and pits. Carefully melt the chocolate chips, if using. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender until completely smooth. Because of the lack of preservatives, it's best to make up a batch of this avocado frosting right before you plan to use it.
