Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Yield 8 - 10 donut holes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nut butter or allergy friendly sub
  • 1/4 cup protein powder
  • optional powdered sugar, glaze icing, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, mini chocolate chips, chia seeds, or other donut hole toppings

Instructions

  • *Be sure to use a type of protein powder you already know you like. Especially if using unsweetened protein powder and not coating the donuts in sugar, I recommend using a sweetened nut butter in the flavor of your choice. Cookie butter also works well.
To make the donut holes, add the protein powder to a medium bowl. If nut butter is not already easily stir-able, gently warm it until soft. Stir the ingredients together to form a dough. Because some nut butters and protein powders are drier than others, you might need to add more nut butter (if the dough is too dry) or protein powder (if too sticky). Roll into balls, coat if desired, and store in a container on the counter or in the fridge or freezer.
