Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp spelt, white, or oat flour (or see the keto version above)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 tbsp granulated sweetener of choice
  • 2 tbsp oil (the chocolate mug cake above has an oil free option)
  • 6 tbsp water or milk of choice
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • If baking in an oven, preheat to 350 F. Grease one mug or two small ramekins very well. Stir all dry ingredients, add wet, and mix to form a batter. Either bake for 12 minutes or microwave until fluffy - my microwave took 2 minutes, but it will vary depending on your machine's wattage. Eat straight from the mug or let cool completely before going around the sides with a knife and popping out. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or anything you wish.
