We’ll get to that in a minute. But first:
America’s Funniest Home Videos Google Searches
Ok, so nothing will ever top “Sarah Palin is a Pumpkin.”
But some of these come close. Especially due to the fact that “chocolate-covered” is in the title, I get a ton of crazy searches every day. And after yesterday’s post, with all the funny 80s references, I can only imagine that the searches will get even weirder!
(My Handsome Naked Men post doesn’t help matters.)
Below are some of my favorites:
- Hot people making babies
- noises coming out of microwave
- how to tell if your a muggle
- i wish chocolate had no calories
- ugly chocolate sex photos
- 57 year old naked men
- fetch your own damn slippers
- alicia silverstone thigh
- porn in yoga pants
- chocolate makes me get ulcers
- beautiful knees
- my banana is really big
Then there are about a bazillion for chocolate-covered bacon, chocolate-covered peppers, chocolate-covered hot girls, chocolate-covered bumblebees…
And now for something not so funny:
Remember the earthquake in Haiti? Remember how it was all over the media, with celebrity telethons and commercials asking for help? Well, a huge problem with the media is that it only covers things that are newsworthy. Right after the earthquake, Haiti = newsworthy. Now? It’s old hat. But guess what: Old hats need attention too!! So please don’t forget about the people in Haiti who are trying desperately to rebuild their lives.
Last week, at the high school where my mom teaches, they held a bake sale to raise funds for the earthquake. I’ve never met a bake sale I didn’t like, so of course I was happy to take a break from homework to whip up 24 vegan cupcakes for the cause. Apparently, they were all gone in ten minutes flat. I don’t know if that means I’m a good cook or just that high school kids (boys especially) will eat anything as long as it’s covered in sugar ;).

OMG those searches are great. I’m sure we all get some crazy ones. I like ‘hot people making babies’ LOL!! And fudge baby milkshake? That is brilliant!

I love seeing the crazy search results that turn up at my site — people must be so surprised when they realize they’re getting healthy living blogs. 😀

Yes, I do worry about the mental health of our race. 😕 Holy bejeebus. Those are some crazy keywords! 😯
Those cupcakes are absolutely beautiful! My favorite is the one with purple frosting. :] They’re all sparkly, too—no wonder they were gone so quickly! And yes, I can attest. My friends will eat basically any kind of sweet, no matter how *mediocre* it tastes. 😕 Poptarts to them are a lifeline…
Jessica says
Hahaha, I worry about people’s sanity ALL the time (especially mine, lol!!)
Gorgeous cupcakers – seriously! I would have totally bought one or three! 🙂
I need to try that milkshake! I just made a new variation of banana butter where I used Artisana cacao coconut butter instead of pb/ab…loved it!! I don’t think you know how addicted I am. I’ll be posting a bunch of my pics soon 🙂
maggie says
Ok seriously make me cupcakes and I’ll send you over some fudge baby shakes…although I think the shipping box might leak… 🙂
Love you,
Maggie

“fetch your own damn slippers”
JoLynn-dreaminitvegan says
Those cuppy cakes are really cute, I bet they were the first to go. I hope people aren’t forgetting about Haiti.
Okay you, that shake looks very tasty.
The Foodie Diaries says
true story: at least HALF of my searches involve some variation of “naked troll doll.” only ONCE did i post a picture of my troll halloween costume (and i wasn’t naked haha), but apparently the internet wants an encore…
tabitha says

i’m always so jealous
Roselie says

Aw Katie these are beautiful.. you are so talented. My school is still collecting items to send down… its soo important to remember they are still suffering and struggling to rebuild their lives which will take years and years (unfortunately its no longer on the news so they are forgotten)..
Have a wonderful Wednesday, hun 😉

Your cupcakes are absolutely gorgeous! Do you have any decorating tips?
MY favorite search is “how to tell if you’re a muggle”. Lol, do you talk about harry potter a lot? Chocolate covered harry potter, perhaps? Now THAT sounds like a porn movie.
Mae (OhhMay.Wordpress) says
So, I officially decided fuge baby juice is the best idea ever. Ahhhh! How creative! I want a vita to make carrot cake fudge baby juice. hmm, I wonder how that would be?
Your searches are hilarious!!! haha

Stef @ moretolifethanlettuce says
#6 is my fave search haha! so great that your mom’s school is continuing to fundraise for the haiti earthquake relief effort. you’re right, when it’s splashed all over the headlines it gets the attention it deserves, but then it becomes a backburner issue and people stop contributing
The Brunette says
Who knew your blog was so sexual!!!
River - The Crafty Kook says
LOL! I love this! Wow, 57 year old naked men is a very specific search. Not 56, not 58, exactly 57! So weird! 😀
I should do this on my next post too, it’s too funny. Some of my weird searches are “do kitchen carts look funny”, “who should ganache look like?”, “peeping Tom tickled”, and my latest funny search… *takes deep breath*… “sweetened condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder shredded chicken and spices, enclosed in wheat flour”. Whoa! That’s a mouthful… of something very weird.
Jenny says
oh girl I never considered the dirty web searches the probably lead you to your site. I’ve gotten some crazy ones as well.. apparently peanut butter is pretty kinky.
Jennifer says
I get all sorts of scary searches… but none are as funny as yours. Mostly mine are drug references. Thats what you get I guess when you have a blog about nature.
I can’t tell you how many people are trying to find out how to grow their own weed!
SamWB says
I’ll pass on the milkshake lol… not my bag. But I made fudge babies for the first time today and I’m addicted! You are a genius!
xx Sam xx
Monica says
Those searches! Although some of the things I type in to google are pretty special sometimes haha. My current search in my google toolbar is “how to do a snookie poof” so I guess I don’t really have room to judge!
Mmmmm fudge baby smoothie sounds de-lish. I’ve tried adding dates to my smoothies a few times too…only to end up with smoothie-flavored dates at the bottom of the glass, which is cool if you’re into that sort of thing!

Katie says
Gah, those searches are great! I get a lot that have “I want” in them…which can be pretty funny sometimes. That milkshake looks yumalicious.
Jessie says
“My banana is really big” … lol!
Good for you for making cupcakes for Haiti! Gorgeous colors. I especially love that green-blue frosting.
Veggiesmack says

I just found your blog last week, and I just wanted to tell you how awesome I think you are! You’re recipes are amazing (I’m noshing on some fudge babies I just made…Goodness glaciers, they’re delicious). I also like that you take care of your body and do what makes you feel healthy despite jerky people telling you you’re too skinny, anorexic, whatever. It’s important to do what’s right for your body, no matter what shape it is.
Also, for the past few weeks, I’ve toyed with the idea of going vegan and I’ve drastically cut my intake of animal products. You’re blog gets me excited about eating vegan, and I feel so much better when I eat a healthy, plant-based diet.
Thanks for the inspiration, and keep the chocolate covered awesomeness coming!

Lea Ann Savage says
If you use a Vitamix, you can turn that milkshake into a delicious, heavenly, frothy, silky-smooth, thick and creamy, liquid-Fudge Baby delight!
