A few weeks ago, my mom hosted an end-of-the-year party for all of her teacher friends. Guess who was asked to make the dessert… You get three guesses, and the first two don’t count!
That’s right, it was me ;o). And guess what dessert I made… (Once again, the first two guesses don’t count!)
It was a grown-up party, so I didn’t get to create cutesy fondant critters this time. But I still had fun decorating. (The flowers aren’t edible; I’d planned to make fondant flowers, but ran out of time.)

The cupcake recipe is for Golden Vanilla Cupcakes, from the cookbook Vegan Cupcakes take over the World.

They look incredible as usual! I need to get a plane and fly there so that you teach me how to make cupcakes…And we’ll eat all of them!
Katie, you must open a bakery or cake shop!!
So when does your bakery open? 😛
O my goodness, they look stunning!
I love how simple and beautiful those cupcakes look!! Please oh please send some of those my way 🙂

Vegan cupcakes. And gorgeous ones, besides. Thanks for sharing them! (confession: I’m googling “cupcakes” today because I just had my first Cupcake Shop Experience today. I’m SOOO behind the trend…)
Yummy! They look beautiful.
WOAH your cupcakes are indeed taking over the WORLD!! you’re sooo talented! You really should open up a cupcakery!!! The only thing about cupcake that I dislike (gasp!) is the icing – they look soooo toothachingly sweet!! hahaha…. beautiful cupcakes nonetheless!!
Have a great day
I really want to try one of those cupcakes – they seriously are the most decadent and beautiful baked goods I’ve ever seen!
I love your baking exploits. . .everything you make is beautiful! (Oh, and vegan mint takes over the world?? Hilarious!)
What beautiful cupcakes! They look so professional 🙂
Those cupcakes look totally rad! Something more out of a fairy tale than an oven. Well-done!
tehee!! we are so similar in the way we eat cakes – whenever someone serves me a piece of cake, I will just dig out the cake bit and leave the frosting behind … it’s just way too buttery for me – i guess that’s why I dislike butter in sandwiches ;0)

These are so elegant! Were you born to make cupcakes or something? (Just kidding, I know you are useful in many other ways!) I love the peachy color. This makes me want cupcakes really badly, too.
Ratatouille is the best! 🙂
What beautiful cupcakes!! I’ll bet everyone enjoyed and appreciated them. I love to make things that make non-vegans realize that we don’t just eat carrot sticks lol
PS-Thanks for stopping by my blog!! 🙂
