Funfetti for everyone!

Yesterday, as I went to answer a comment on facebook, I noticed…

Oh my word!!!

More than 1,200 people like my Facebook page!

I can’t tell you how excited this made me, especially considering the fact that I just made the page like three months ago! But it’s so much more than the number that makes me happy. I hope y’all know by now that I don’t look at my readers and commenters as just numbers. I read every single comment on my blog and really enjoy responding to them and getting to know more about you all! More facebook “likes” means more new friends… and more people with whom to share my love of chocolate!

How can I ever thank you awesome people who put such a big smile on my face?

funfetti-cookie-dough

I’m virtually sending big hugs, in the form of Funfetti Cookie Dough Balls.

And also a real bear hug…

By the way, this is GG Bear. After my great grandma died, my friends surprised me with her. (You can’t tell from the photo, but she’s more than half the size of me!) Obviously, GG Bear doesn’t replace GiGi (my great grandma). But everyone can always use an extra bear hug, right?

Authentic CCK Cookie Dough Balls?! Oh my gosh, that would be like.. incredible 🙂 People in my office think you are some kind of movie star or something, the way I talk about you! I am so in love with your blog and your recipes, and your genuine kindness for everyone! My husband loves you too, because our fridge is always stocked with some type of Fudge Babies now… lol!

      • krickit6 says

Yay! My Dad texts me every day to remind me either 1) to smile or 2) to share a smile… So, Im glad I was able to share a smile with you!! 🙂 Enjoy your day!!

    • Carmen says

krickit6, that’s great. My friends are sick of me talking about “this amazing website I found a few months ago.” They’ve started finishing the sentence… “Oh, you mean that vegan blog about food you tell us about (multiple times) everyday?” They’d be annoyed, except I bring them CCBribes so they’ll let me keep raving about CCKatie… 🙂

  13. Katelyn says

If I had the pleasure of tasting those scrumptious rainbow filled balls, I would send you a raw/vegan creation of mine in return…can you say halzenut brownies??

  14. Hela says

Love the bear!! so cute your friends gave her to you.
I have always thought you looked glowing in every picture, and since I quit eating butter (the last dairy item I was consuming, rarely, though) and going vegan, everybody is making comments about my skin looking so fab and glowing! Awesome, right?! I did notice a change, too.

  15. Aisatsana says

Congratulations! 🙂 The other night I used your mushroom stroganoff recipe, but changed the spices to make it mushroom curry. So yummy!!!! Thanks for posting the recipe. 🙂

  44. Jennifer says

I love your blog, and your FB page. Funfetti is just icing on the cake. BTW, I’m so excited about your Samoas recipe. I am chomping at the bit waiting for next week so I can hit Whole Foods for the ingredients to make them. I also LOVE your chocolate chip cookie oatmeal. I am a new vegan, started about 2 weeks ago because research told me it was a good diet for diabetes. I am excited that my blood sugar numbers have been great since I started eating this way. (A plus is that my obgyn was totally psyched when I told her I have “gone vegan”, haven’t had the opportunity to tell my GP yet) And it has been super easy with your recipes to give me a starting point. Even my die-hard-meat-eating husband really liked your tortilla soup recipe. And I’ve got so much more energy that I’ve started training for a 5K in 6 weeks. I don’t know if I’ll be up to running it, but I’ll be so thrilled if I can just walk it. Thanks for being an excellent role model! You ROCK!

  45. Haley says

I want to try these cookie dough balls so badly! I also just wanted to say how much I love your blog. Everything is healthy and easy to make so I love love loveeee it 🙂

i love checking your blog everyday! you come up with the most creative (and not to mention healthy ;D) desserts that satisfy my craving without the guilt!

  56. Katie says

I am a new vegan and have found so much inspiration from your site. It was hard for the first few weeks; everyone in my life was constantly on my case about what I was eating/not eating and I was discouraged at times, but never gave up. I made the Cake Batter Milkshake tonight and it was amazing. Hands down, better than anything I ever had with dairy in it! Thank you so much for posting healthy, fun, DELICIOUS recipes that are simple for anyone to make (even those of us who hate cooking!)

  57. Adina Johnson says

I just wanted to tell you that your recipes are simply amazing! I can’t stop trying all these new breakfast and dessert ideas! Your mushroom stroganoff is a hit with my family! I’ve made it three times in the past 2 weeks 🙂 Thank you for so many easy, great, and especially tasty healthy food !

Mmmm…I’d love to try either one of your cookie dough balls. Maybe one day you could make double chocolate cookie dough balls?

I love your stuffed bear! As a child I had a lot of stuffed animals, now I don’t know what to do with them all and find it hard to get rid of them.

  60. Melissa says

Yummy. Hope I win!!! Your food always looks so amazing. Pretty CRAZY this is the first time I’ve commented! I have made many of your recipes and not been disappointed with any.

  61. Jessica says

Those little treats look amazing! Ever since I’ve found your site, I’ve 1. asked my parents to get me a food processor as my next gift for any occasion (because I’ve been dying to make your raw recipes) and am so happy that I found a place that I can get healthy and tasty treat ideas so my family can’t say that I always opt out of dessert anymore, instead I can bring my own healthified option that doesn’t taste ridiculously healthy. So thank you again!

  62. Sarah says

I read this at work.. (Shh don’t tell!) had to wait till I got home to log in to FB and like your page! 🙂 #1121

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

LOL what’s really funny is that the wall is actually green… and not just ANY green. When my mom was painting the house, a few years ago, I was looking at paint samples and one of the colors said “vegan green.” I BEGGED her to let us paint one of the rooms in this color, so now we have a vegan green guest room! 🙂

  70. Amanda Z says

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

      Erin,
Have you tried putting a widget on the side of your blog? When I first made my page, I don’t think anyone had a way of finding it unless I told them (which I was very shy to do!!!). But if you put a widget up, more people will know your page exists :).

  73. sarah marie says

And I’m one of your facebook fans! I had asked you on your page about doing a version of a samoa, so I was thrilled when you posted one recently! I have yet to try it but it’s on my list of CCK recipes to make asap. 🙂

  74. ThePony says

I tried my hand at making babies (which, by the way, never stops being funny), and, they are amazing! Also…now I can’t keep my hands out of the dates container. Thanks for reintroducing me to those sweet lil guys!

I liked you as soon as I found the blog/fb page so can totally understand why they all have 😉 I’m somewhat in awe – being new to blogging I only have 28 likers on fb, and I’m not even sure I have regular readers yet lol. So seeing such huge numbers is inspiring.

I’ve apparently been talking a lot about your recipes on a forum I chat with other mums on too – I had 3 different mums all of a sudden say – well if you’re going to keep telling us about this yummy healthy food on this awesome blog can you at least give us a link lol – So I shared and now they’re raving about your food too hehe
