Sugar Free Notes:
The original recipe calls for 2/3 cup sweetener. You can easily get away with less, especially if you’re used to not-so-sweet desserts. Or, for a completely sugar-free dip, omit sugar completely and instead use 4 1/2 nunaturals stevia packets and 1/2 a super-ripe banana (or more stevia and no banana… or more banana and no stevia… play around with the amounts!) Diana liked it with 40 nunaturals vanilla stevia drops.
For a lower-fat dip:
Just like the lower-calorie Cookie Dough Dip, the original brownie batter dip is much yummier. But this option is still tasty—just maybe not as decadent and dessert-like.
- 1 1/2 cups chickpeas or white beans (1 can, drained and rinsed) (250g)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- heaping 1/8 tsp salt
- sweetener of choice, to taste
- 2 T cocoa powder
- optional ingredients: 1/4 cup quick oats or flaxmeal
Blend all ingredients until very smooth.
