I think eight is the best age– you’re old enough to have an awareness of the world and yourself, but you have no idea about the meaning of responsibility. If you say, “I want to be an astronaut when I grow up,” you’d hear this response: “Gee, that’s nice.” But at my age? The response changes to this: “So what classes are you taking to get there? And what job are you going to get when you graduate? How are you going to support yourself?”
Ah, to be eight…
On Friday, my parents surprised me with tickets to see The Capitol Steps. The Capitol Steps is a political satire group, and they are hilarious! I don’t think I ever stopped laughing, throughout the entire show. If you have an interest in politics, I’d definitely recommend getting tickets to see a show.
By now, you’re probably all sick of seeing pictures of my infamous post-run breakfasts. But I wanted to post a picture of yesterday’s in order to show off a new birthday present– plates! Yeah, I am a nerd… I get so excited about fun dishware.
Mad-Scrambled Tofu, an apple, 2 slices toast, and pistachios.

Ohh Katie your dinners look so delicious!! I love these kinds of meals – fancy/dressed-up veggies alongside grains or another ((although I also love potatoes, ohh, and SWEET POTATOES, so it’s a tough call there 😉 😉 )) – but still, wow!! I have started to take pictures of my meals – the ones I’m proud of, anyways!!
I realise this comment is a bit late for the post ..over 3 years too late, LOL 😀 😀 , but heyy, I’m pretty new to your site, so I can be a noob 🙂 🙂 .
