I loved my time as a Brownie… and I know I’m not the only one who really enjoyed being a scout. Take my neighbor, Erik, for example. He liked being a scout so much that he stuck with the organization all the way from elementary school (as a Cub Scout) until age 18 (where he earned his Eagle Scout honor).
Earning one’s Eagle Scout status is a BIG deal. It involves organizing a service project (Erik painted the local community center), accumulating at least 21 merit badges, and standing before a review board.
By the end of the party, there were quite a lot of bright blue tongues!

To respond to your response (lol) I felt like an ass after I left that comment because I guess I skimmed over the post and missed the part where you clearly labeled what the vegetables were!! *stupid*
Sorry!
Nice!! I was a Daisy and a Brownie but never quite made it to Girl Scout. Congratulations to Erik – and yummy cupcakes! I would gladly take a blue tongue to have one of those

Lucky guy! I wish I’d “known” you back in high school – Gold Award cupcakes would’ve been even better
Those are darling! Make them purple and they’d be great for Mardi Gras!
I was a brownie too! Fun times…
O, wow, those look great! I have to remember making these for my brother. Are the Fleur-de-lis made of fondant?
that’s awesome!! i love the designs on the cupcakes.
I too was a girl scout though juniors. Our youngest daugher made it all the way to cadets and was an assistant to a brownie troop. Great program!
We have young men who have earned their Eagle Scout Honor. Very big deal in our church and well deserved. They really do some amazing projects.
You are awesome and I am sure everyone was thrilled with your cupcakes. They are perfect!
You truly are the Cupcake Queen!! They are so pretty, what a lucky neighbor!
I don’t like the strawberry ones either! I always pick them out and give them to Bobby when I have the strawberry banana kind.
I will gladly sacrifice my tongue’s pink shade for one of those!
So awesome. I quit Girl Scouts very soon after “crossing the bridge” and graduating from Brownie… I don’t think my bother did any better with Cub Scouts.
Those are BEE U TEH FUL!
Why on earth did I think you lived in Austin?!?!?!?!
Aww, I did the little scout thing for a brief stint when I was younger. Those cupcakes are awesome. Heck, I’d go join up as a Scout right now just so I could eat one
I was also a Brownie!
I totally enjoyed being a scout! Love the cupcakes!
these are too cute
haha i was cracking up when i read your mitch williams comment LOL
I never did scouts (I was mad I couldn’t be a boy scout!) but I know several guys who made Eagle scout; it’s a great accomplishment.
I’m sure your cupcakes were a hit! Congrats to your friend.
my brother and one of my best friends are boy scouts
cute cupcakes!
They look amazing as your cupcakes always do CVC!
Oh I love those cupcakes! I used to be a scout from when I was 7 to 13. It was fabulous because we had camps all around Europe and got to go to places including Southern France, Eurodisney, London, Denmark, Sweden and lots of places in Germany (where I’m from).
But yeah, what a lovely gift, those cupcakes!
DAMN.
you are so friggin talented (and I love blue tongue. we are mired in eating too many dumdums around here (halloween) and I have a chronic case of the blue t’s)
Congrats to Erik!
Those cupcakes look delicious! They look sparkly, too–is that a trick of the internet or are there really sparkles?
These are beautiful Special K! You are a super cupcake baker lady!
once again, you take the cupcake on making the cupcakes!
Hurray for Erik! And cupcakes!
your cupcakes are gorgeous! i hope they were appreciated! i was also a brownie – so many fun memories of selling girl scout cookies and fun badges!
Beautiful!!
I never got into Brownies, (I was more of a house-league-soccer kinda girl) but a lot of my friend were. Congrats to your neighbor!
Those cupcakes are crazy good! Your such an ar-teest!
Do you generally use a plain ol’ vanilla recipe for these or do you change it up? They always look too good to eat!

They are just adorable! I am sure your neighbor was delighted with your effort that you put into it!

You should be an honorary Eagle scout for making those cupcakes!
