While putting together my Halloween-round-up post a few weeks ago, I noticed the crazy number of pumpkin desserts was completely overwhelming all of the other recipes! Clearly, the pumpkin desserts needed their own post. So here it is—a blog post entirely devoted to all things pumpkin!

Question of the Day:
What do you think of the crazy pumpkin obsession that seems to completely take over our society each year at the first sign of cooler weather?
I feel like this pumpkin obsession is a recent phenomenon. Prior to three or four years ago, did anyone go crazy over pumpkin? Perhaps the blogworld is to thank (or to blame?) for the new trend? All I know is that, as soon as September hits, every food blogger–myself included–begins flooding the internet with pumpkin recipes. If you are one of those people who’s tired of hearing about nothing but pumpkin recipes, you will be happy to know I’m moving away from the pumpkin desserts in favor of other flavors… at least for the rest of this year!
Danielle @ Chits and Chats and Chocolate says
Mmmm, love pumpkin! All of these look fabulous, I don’t know which one to try first!
Carrie (This Fit Chick) says
AH way too many to choose from!

These all look amazing. I totally go pumpkin crazy every September! I spend my summers counting down the days until it is socially acceptable to start whipping up pumpkin baked goods. This year though, maybe I overdid it, because I’m totally ready to move on to peppermint season…but I’m sure by April I’ll be back to counting down to pumpkin season again!

Hmm, pumpkins are healthy, and they are very versatile – as the huge number of stunning recipes here shows. I just crammed my basement pantry with half a dozen pumpkins, so I’ll sure eat my way through your recipes 🙂
In fact it was my search for a pumpkin muffin recipe which brought me to an American recipe site first in 2006, and that was the start of an exciting virtual journey which gifted me with many wonderful friends. So, I totally don’t mind any pumpkin craze 😉

Thanks for all the recipes in one spot! I’m planning a brunch for my daughter’s bridal shower and she’s loved pumpkin pie since she was little. She wants tons of pumpkin goods at the shower and I’m excited to try some of these recipes!

You will never hear me complain about pumpkin recipes! Everything in this post is making my mouth water.
Personally, I LOVE pumpkin, and I love when autumn comes around and everything becomes pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin. The fall colors, the cozy “time for comfort food” weather, and yummy pumpkin recipes… all good to me! 😀
Question for you, Katie: I just ordered my very first Vitamix (yay! so excited!). What is your favorite pumpkin-related recipe using your Vitamix? (Or non-pumpkin-related as well if you think of something else that’s your favorite.) I’d love to christen my new machine by making something really yummy. Thanks!

Any of her ice cream recipes, including the pumpkin one if you make it with canned coconut milk. But this is my favorite: https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/category/healthy-ice-cream-recipes/

Oh my! As I scrolled down through this post my eyes got bigger and bigger and bigger… I don’t know which one looks the most delicious!!! Thanks for compiling this!
Jules @ WolfItDown says
Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls had my Scandi heart beating a little faster, SO much pumpkin goodness! I only got to make and post my first pumpkin recipe of the Autumn last night – pumpkin pudding, so good 😀 And here is more inspiration for the rest of my leftover pumpkin – thanks! x

Katie, what a wonderful resource this post is! It’s great to know that we can eat healthy sweet treats during the fall holidays. I really appreciate all the testing you’ve done to bring us the best healthy recipes! The pumpkin obsession is crazy, isn’t it? It’s exploded so much, but you won’t hear me complaining:)

Each one of these look better than the rest!! I’m proud to say that I have a lot of similar recipes in my repertoire (great minds think alike! lol!). I make homemade chocolates all the time (actually, I don’t think I ever buy chocolate). I’ve also made peanut butter cups…SO much better than the “real” thing!! You just reminded me that I have to try those truffles…they look AMAZING! Here are some of my personal faves (do you try out other people’s recipes, by the way?):

More pumpkin recipes! Just today, they’ve removed the big lot of pumpkins from the grocery store. I’m pretty sure as soon as we hit November, all stores are going to be filled with the Holiday stuffs now. But I’ve still got pumpkin at home, so I’m gonna make some of these. And yes, I do find that pumpkin has taken a whole lot of dimension during the past years. Have you seen the frankenfruit – frankenstein pumpkin head?
I love your recipes btw. 🙂 Happy Halloween!

Just popping in to say how much I love your site. I have made quite a few of your recipes and enjoyed them. The Black bean brownies and the chocolate chip mug cake have become family favorites. Your easy cashew cheesecake recently won the day at a party. Thank your for sharing with us.
As for pumpkin? Pie. Soup. That is all.
(Of course now seeing your stuff I May have to expand my repertoire 😉 )
Nikki says
Nope, I am not sick of pumpkin recipes but I think you have enough. I would love to see more bean dessert recipes from you though.

Just curious if you dressed up for Halloween? You posted photos in previous years but didn’t mention anything this year.
I made your cookie dough dip for Halloween and it went over really well.

i add a can of pumpkin to spaghetti sauce it make it extra creamy and adds another vegetable to boost the nutrition. Canned sauce or home made.

Bless you for this.

Hi Katie! I love love your recipes! I am gf and trying to be a healthy mom:):) I have used a bunch of your recipes for three different new moms as nursing snacks! They hit the spot as far as hormonal cravings as well as being protein packed and healthy! I am making 3 or 4 of your recipes for Thanksgiving meals and am asking for your book for a Christmas gift from my hubby. As a brand new mom who had to give up running due to hip injury I have been able to keep a healthy lifestyle and lose more than the baby weight in 9 months…a lot in relation to the healthy dessert options you gave me! Thanks so much for your creativity, humor, and inspiration!

Hi Katie! These all look amazing.
Last year I made your ‘Pumpkin Pie Pumpkin Muffins’ – they were pumpkin muffins stuffed with pumpkin pie. But I now cant seem to find the recipe anywhere 🙁 Can you or someone please help? I cant even find it in the combined recipes posts for Pumpkin

I have tried many of Katie’s desserts and soup and everything comes out right, which is saying a lot for me! (Cooking does not come naturally for me, and vegan cooking is even more challenging.) Just follow the directions carefully and you cannot go wrong!
