I hope you take this into serious consideration and I will diligently be watching your site for your decision…..probably with the cookie dough cake while I wait…..

    • Catalina says

Definitely pancakes above all; they’re an integral part of my morning routine!

Then probably the Red Velvet Fudge cake; after that, the Strawberry Cheesecake Dip, and lastly, according my to hierarchy, the Pink Princess Cake.

  1. Alissa says

Lemon squares please! I have been looking for a healthy and vegan version of lemon squares forever!

    Reeses Pieces Frosting

Now I must go eat because this post made me hungry :)!!!!

  9. Melissa E says

Since I can’t pick 1 (or 3) top 4 would have to be:

    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Sugar Cookie Bars
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting

  10. Heidi says

  12. Lani says

PS I made your tofu chocolate pie “filling” it was delish. No one knew. I also added a little cinnamon and fresh nutmeg.

  13. Jill Frank says

Well, my top choice would be the strawberry cheesecake dip as strawberries are in season in NC and I have been picking like crazy. But, by reading all the other comments – we are not helping you much. Seems like we would all love to see all the recipes. Looks like you will have posts for months to come!

  14. KatieJo Clinkingbeard says

mmmm lemon squares! 🙂 I love lemon flavor and would definitely like a new, healthier way to appease my taste buds!!

  15. Karen says

I’m also w/the red velvet fudge cake, since regular Puppy Chow is easy to make w/vegan choc and vegan cereal. We need CCK’s creativity w/a velvet cake! 🙂

  16. Debbie P. says

    Not in any particular order…
    Secret Spaghetti Sauce
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    a new pancake recipe…

  17. Christie says

I’d love to see Lemon Squares and Hot Chocolate on a Stick, please! BTW- Did I tell you that your lemon poppy seed mini muffins were a HUGE success in our house? I think I did, but just in case…;-) They were SO light and had just the right amount of lemon flavor. YUMMY.

  18. Suzie says

Wow, looks like you have been busy– all the options sound fantastic! But I have to go with Healthy Lemon Squares for my first choice 🙂

  19. Amanda Montgomery says

Pink Princess Cake! My almost 5-year-old daughter is a HUGE fan of your blog and loves reading your recipes and we love making the recipes together. She would be tickled pink if you had a pink princess cake recipe!

  20. Sami B. says

Oh my gosh, Katie. If you can find a way to make Chocolate Puppy Chow vegan, you will absolutely be my favorite person EVER! Also, I’d love to see these:
    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Sugar Cookie Bars
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!

  21. Samantha says

I almost fainted at the thought of a vitamix giveaway. I hope I can concentrate for the rest of the day. 🙂

Since I can’t make a decision this morning, I vote for these two because of their names. 🙂

    Pink Princess Cake
    Chocolate Puppy Chow

May is going to be fun!

  22. JungleCat says

I’ve been a silent reader since a few weeks now. Even though I haven’t tried any of your recipes yet it’s always a pleasure to visit your website! 🙂

I’d love to see the “Healthy Lemon Squares” recipe!

Do you include your international fans in your giveaways as well?

Everything sounds so good!!! Here are my top three 🙂
    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Fruit Dip

  25. Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says

OMG DO NOT TEASE ME! It’s my dream in life to have a vitamix. I actually hugged the one I saw at Costco. Yes, hugged it. On a crowded Sunday afternoon. I have no shame.

    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Sugar Cookie Bars
    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting

  29. Lena says

    Anne-Marie

  33. Katia says

Not sure if replying on someone else’s post counted as a vote.
Red velvet fudge cake and secret spaghetti please. I really want to try more of your non-dessert recipes. I’m addicted to roasted cauliflower and I used to hate cauliflower.

  34. Anat says

OMG! So many recipes to choose from 🙂
well the Reeses Pieces Frosting is a big NO from me…. Not a fan of pb.
I like pink so the Pink Princess Cake is a winner 😉
But I’m searching for a good cheesecake so Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip is also a recipe I would like (willing to wait for it two weeks)

PS. I’m dreaming having a VitaMix. That’s an awesome giveaway!!

    • Anat says

      OOPS!
just noticed that it’s not a cheesecake, so I’ll stay only with Pink Princess Cake (even though all the recipes souns delicious, besides that Reeses Pieces Frosting)

  35. Beth H says

Love your blog Katie! Making cookie -dough dip now for Derby-can’t wait to try it on my guests!! I vote for lemon bars with sugar cookie bars as a close second!!

  36. Debbie says

They all sound delicious. Red velvet has long been my favorite cake. Chocolate puppy chow would be awesome!

  37. Heather says

Chocolate Puppy Chow! (And maybe the Reese’s Pieces frosting too!)

BTW, what is the frosting in the cupcake picture above? It looks delicious…like lick the computer screen delicious…

  38. Courtney says

Secret spaghetti sauce sounds like the best idea ever! I have two giant spaghetti squashes that need some love.

That being said, my momma loves her some cheesecake, and I love me some fruit (especially strawberries!), so that is my number two vote.

Now I want a strawberry shortcake. That single lady cupcake will have to do 😉

  39. Juliet says

Gosh, I’d have to go with the red velvet fudge cake and lemon bars. And…everything!!
    You rock!

  40. kathy says

I hope they all get up eventually. But for now I vote on Lemon Squares and Strawberry Cheesecake fruit dip. And of course, anything made with chocolate.

  41. Erin says

Ahh, Katie so exciting. I can’t wait. I vote either:

    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    or Healthy Lemon Bars

My mom really likes lemon bars so it’s be perfect timing. 😉

  42. KalJean says

My mom loves lemony desserts so I would love to see the Lemon Squares recipe for her!
Next my vote would be the puppy chow definitely!!

And I was so unbelievably ecstatic when I saw the giveaway was a Vita-Mix! I am new to this whole giveaway thing, how do I enter in it, do I have to have a blog?

  43. Elise says

    I vote….
    strawberry cheesecake fruit dip
    chocolate puppy chow
and hot chocolate on a stick!!
    🙂

  44. Jenn says

Oh my goodness reeses frosting FOR SURE. Runners up: red velvet, hot chocolate on a stick!

Now you’ve got me starving and craving dessert!

Tough decisions! Here are my top picks:
    1. Red Velvet Fudge Cake (healthy?)
    2. Pink Princess Cake
    3. Healthy Lemon Squares
    4. Reeses Pieces Frosting

No matter what you decide I know it will be great!

  46. Katy says

I usually stay away from Red Velvet cake because of food coloring, will your version be dye-free? Knowing you (not that I know you 🙂 ) it will be!

  47. Allie says

Lemon squares lemon squares! Okay, so everything sounds good, but lemon squares are so different from the usual chocolate/baked goods, and my mom (and I ;D ) just so happen to love lemon.

  48. snenny says

    Puppy Chow
Pink Princess Cake <- which, coming from a non-pinky person, is surprising!
Red Velvet Fudge Cake oh yes oh yes

Picking only three nigh-on killed me.

  49. Wynn Przybycien says

Oh my mom would love Red Velvet Fudge Cake & I would love Hot Chocolate on a stick. Thanks

    [Thank you.] 🙂

  51. heleen says

Mhmm, lemon squares please! I’m low on money lately but lemons are a food I always have in my kitchen so there will be NO excuse not to make these

  52. LDT says

I’m really curious about the secret spaghetti sauce (unless the secret is mushrooms, because for some odd reason my mom dislikes them).
I think the runner up would be sugar cookie bars.

  53. Ali says

Am I the only one who freaked out when I saw the Vita-Mix giveaway link?????????????? I’ve been hearing SO many great things about juicing and I’d ADORE one of those! Plus, I love to bake (I’m not as talented as you) so this would come in handy! Do you have more details Ms. Katie?? 🙂

  54. Barb says

I vote for the strawberry cheesecake dip, sugar cookie bars, and lemon squares. Please post all of the above soon!!!

  55. Jill says

Chocolate puppy chow. I’ve been obsessed with puppy chow forever, but had to give it up because it’s so horrible for you!

  56. Mary says

My vote is for Healthy Lemon Squares.

P.S. My bro made one of your chocolatey recipes the other day & it was sooo good!

  57. Aly says

I vote for refreshing lemon squares 1st, delicious reese’s frosting 2nd and sugar cookie bars third! My mom votes for anything chocolate, she’s a self acclaimed chocoholic!

  58. Kelsey says

Red Velvet cake, pleeeeeease! One of the best cakes of all time, and it will certainly be that much better once you’ve healthified it!

  59. Demetria says

So many choices! Here’s my vote:
    1) Red Velvet fudge cake
    2) Healthy lemon bars
    3) Secret spaghetti sauce

  60. Oda says

yuumm, I´m eating your water-melon sorbet in a slushy-version (with a little mineral water, nom!) right now, it is so (brainfreezingly) good!! I am so giving this to my future children when they want slush, it´s just so good, even better than the sugaroverloaded slush from the stores!

Please I really want to try out the healthy lemon squares! It sound so delish! The Norwegian national day is coming up, and it´s time for candy! And ice cream! And cake! (But I just got massive cravings for the lemon squares when I saw it now.*drooling face*)

  61. Emily @ Glitz Glam Granola says

Ohh so excited to hear your announcement! And all of those recipes sound great! I’d love the one of the pink princess cake and reeses pieces frosting!! Omg and a vitamix giveaway?! That’s like my dream!!!!!

They all sound SO good, Katie!

But, if I had to choose my top choices would be –
#1 ~ Red Velvet Fudge Cake

Thanks for baking me a Single Lady Cupcake ~ Your too sweet (literally) =)

    A Vita-Mix giveaway? Wow!

I can’t wait to hear your big announcement!

  66. Chelan says

If you’re giving away a VitaMix blender, I might just have a heart attack from shock. But an I Love Lucy mug would be good too!

I’m trying to think like my mother, who only ever gets excited about Shortbread (and Hot Tamales)… so my vote is Sugar Cookie Bars. That’s close to Shortbread, right??

FYI I keep making your desserts for various gatherings and my husband and I make your chocolate chip cookie dough (with 3 ingredient chocolate chips) at least once a week. It tends to take the place of dinner on date night… or any night we forgot to get dinner-like things… 😛

  67. Jenny D says

All my votes go towards a new pancake recipe! I rotate between all your currents ones and would love to see what you come up with next! I do use your blueberry (sans blueberries) as a base for pumpkin, sweet potato and chai pancakes but you always come up with something I didn’t even know was missing in my life!

  68. Laura says

Secret spaghetti sauce (would love to see a mealtime recipe!)
but if we are doing sweet… then the healthy lemon squares!

  69. Lucy says

Please please please do the pink princess cake– my daughter is turning 1 in the next few weeks and I am looking for a pink healthy/vegan cake to make for her!

  70. Nicole says

    These ones!!
    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting

  71. Christina says

I would love hot chocolate on a stick, secret spaghetti sauce, and/or lemon squares! Although they all sound yummy! 🙂

  72. Sarah Z. says

They all sound great! Maybe we could wait on the secret spaghetti sauce and the hot chocolate on a stick. 8 recipes before Mother’s Day is doable, right? 😉

  73. Anna A says

    ■Healthy Lemon Squares
Please!!! Thank you!!! Love love love your blog btw. Cooking for one has become so much more fun!

  74. Kim says

    Lemon squares PLEASE!

I am on a new dairy free diet for my breasr feeding baby and I an living off your recipes! Thank you for sharing your creativity! 🙂

  75. Sarah says

Secret Spaghetti Sauce (I need a CCK non-sweet fix!)

And LEMON LEMON LEMON (I <3 lemon)

  76. Sarah the official CCK drooler says

I think I know what the announcement is!!! And it’s not you’re getting married, right?

    Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip
    Red Velvet Cake
    Hot Chocolate on a stick
    Reese’s Pieces Anything

Now my mom is mad at you cuz I won’t eat the quinoa (barf.) she made for lunch after seeing these recipes. Deal with her. Just kidding. She likes the pb bread and chai shakes WAY too much to be mad at you 🙂

  77. Tammy says

    Red Velvet Fudge Cake

    Red Velvet Fudge Cake

  78. lyss says

What? You made me a cupcake and I can’t eat it?!! lol!
Just yesterday I was wishing for a vitamix! Hoping…praying…wishing….! 🙂
I’d love to see how you “healthified” Lemon Squares. My recipe has TONS of sugar!

  79. Nicole K. says

They all sound DELICIOUS. But these make my top 3:

    1) Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip
    2) Lemon Squares
    3) Chocolate Puppy Chow

    🙂

  80. Betsy says

Sugar cookie bars, please! It’s so hard to find recipes for these that aren’t 75% butter and white flour.

  81. dara says

    reeses pieces frosting.
I have gotten a special request from my best friend and bride-to-be that she wants a penis cake for her party. she loves reeses…

  82. k says

I am down with pancakes, Chocolate Puppy Chow (cause what the heck are they?!) and Healthy Lemon Squares.

  83. Sunnie says

Mmm, they all sound great! 🙂 Here are my top choices:

    Thank you, Katie!

  84. Charissa says

Wow! So many choices….I think I’d like to see the puppy chow and the fruit dip. All of them sound amazing though.

What kind of frosting did you use for the cupcake?

  85. Sophie says

I’m all in favour of the red velvet fudge cake and lemon squares, but I bet anything you decide to post will be really good!

And i can’t wait for the giveaway! Those are always fun.

Random Thought: You should make a healthy (or at least healthier) pop tarts recipe. That’d be awesome!

  86. Katrina says

Reese’s Pieces Frosting!!!!! OMG — I would LOVE to have a Vita-mix! I’m so jealous of everyone that has one and I wish I could join the cool crowd but I can’t afford one right now. Awesome giveaway!!

  87. Christy says

Healthy Lemon Squares <– I have a crazy love affair with lemon squares, cake etc

Secret Spaghetti Sauce <– ooh I love secrets!! Spill!! 🙂

  88. Susie says

    PLEASE the lemon squares!
Red Velvet Fudge Cake sounds good too, but you have so many like that, and the healthy lemon squares would be perfect for upcoming graduation weekends in the hot sun!

  89. Dawn says

Reeses Pieces frosting!!! Hot chocolate on a stick and/or anything else with chocolate in it!
Can you guess what my favorite food group is…….?

A Vita-Mix giveaway – awesome!! You are too kind!

  90. Wendy says

They all sound delicious! My vote is for red velvet fudge cake. Red velvet is my sister’s favorite!

  91. katia says

my mom keeps asking me to make her some lemon squares! In dire need of a wonderful recipe for those. Also, red velvet always sounds fantastic.

  92. Frida says

Reeses pieces frosting! Two of my favorite things combined 🙂 And what a nice May schedule you have hehe

  93. Mandy says

Red Velvet Fudge Cake!!! Pretty please.
And if you can find a way to color it without using food coloring I will nominate you for a Nobel Prize 🙂

PS – your Fudge babies have changed my life!

  94. Mandy says

Red Velvet fudge cake!!!! Pretty please.
And if you can find a way to color it naturally (without food coloring) I will nominate you for a Nobel Prize 🙂

PS. I have been meaning to comment and let you know that your fudge babies have changed my life!

  95. Kelly says

Pink Princess cake or Red Velvet Fudge cake! (I want to bake my Mom a cake for Mother’s day!). All sound delicious, however. Can’t go wrong!

  96. Janice says

VITAMIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, I’ve always wanted one! Especially ever since I saw that some of your recipes require a vitamix and I only have the magic bullet 🙁 Ugh, my mother has been looking around in some stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond and they’re always so expensive… I hope I win this one! It would be by far the win of my life! <— That was probably a little too strong but really.. it would make our day!

  97. Justine Duppong @ Life With Cheeseburgers says

Puppy chow and princess cake please! My hubby brought home a bunch of sprinkles yesterday and I’m already dreaming up all kinds of ways to use them…Mmmm…

  98. Hannah says

PUPPY CHOW! It was always a favorite in my household growing up. We have a box of whole wheat chex in the pantry now, I was just thinking the other day — “I bet Katie could make an incredible healthy version of my old favorite!”
Thats so weird it’s on your list. Great minds think alike.

Plus! Puppy chow is a favorite party treat.

  99. [email protected] says

I like the plain cake with chocolate icing; I think that combination’s better than chocolate cake with chocolate icing, weirdly! I like the sound of the spaghetti sauce and lemon squares… possibly not at the same time though 😉

  100. Ashley says

    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting
    Pancakes!
I have no idea how you’re going to narrow these down…I had hard enough time limiting myself to 4!! x)

  101. Hannah says

First, thank you thank you thank you. I have been getting your emails and following your pins on pinterest and am in love with nearly everything you make! I love getting people to eat your awesome recipes and then have them guess if they are healthy or not :). I think these would be awesome:

    Sugar Cookie Bars
    Secret Spaghetti Sauce
    Reeses Pieces Frosting

    What is the vitamix giveaway?

    You are fabulou!

  102. Beth says

    Red velvet fudge cake!!!

I have a challenge for you. You should try to make Vegan Slutty Brownies!!! If you don’t know what a slutty brownie is, it’s a layer of cookie dough, a layer of Oreos, topped off with a brownie layer and then baked 🙂

  103. christina says

pancakes ! 🙂 stack ’em up with reese’s pieces frosting.. like a crepe cake turned pancckake?

lemon squares would be phenomenal as well; my mom loves “frozen chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick” after trying it on vacation once.. she found the little stand selling it, got one for herself & didn’t tell anyone else LOL- then spent the rest of the trip **raving** about it.. she still talks about how crazy good it was, and still gets railed on for not sharing w/ anyone ha.. would love to make her the lemon squares but w/ key lime juice & chocolate ganache or something. & you are going to make someone VERY happy with that giveaway.. so awesome!

  104. Erin says

OMG. Red velvet fudge cake. I’ve been wanting to see a red-velvet recipe on your site for FOREVER! Oh, and I guess something for my mom too 😉 The chocolate puppy chow!

And… vita-mix?! If I won a vita-mix I would cry of happiness. I’m taking statistics right now so I know there’s basically no chance, but hey, someone will have to win 😉

  105. Paige says

Yum! As usual all of your recpies sound amazing! Personally my top three would be the sugar cookie bars, red velvet and the Reese frosting but a new pancake flavor never hurts! Already excited for the vitamix giveaway!

  106. Erin says

I would love the strawberry cheesecake fruit dip recipe! I teach FACS to middle school and we are in our fruit unit. I am doing fruit kabobs and wanted somethign the students could dip them in too. I love delicious and nutrtitious (and vegan)!

  107. Claire says

Ahhh! Delicious! Can’t wait. I say
    the pink princess cake,
    healthy lemon squares,
    red velvet fudge cake.

But really, I’m fine with just about anything. 😀

  108. Courtney says

I can see why you’re having a hard decision – I want to see all of those recipes! 😉 I have to definitely vote for the Red Velvet Fudge Cake, though. I have a weakness for red velvet.

  109. Melissa (Better Fit) says

    Oo! What’s the exciting news!?

My vote is for a pancake recipe

That was quite the hint! Wow!!

  110. Kathrynxc says

Lemon bars please!!! I haven been able to eat those in FOREVER and am dying for some! You rock Katie 🙂

  111. Tricia says

Okay now there seems to be a ton of comments but hear me out: I would cry tears of joy if you post the puppy chow :)… okay, maybe not literally but I would be oh so happy 🙂

  112. Molly T. says

Definitely the pancake recipe! Those pancakes always make my morning a little better! Second choice is the puppy chow! I used to make that at summer camp all the time and I loved it!

  113. Kaylee says

A pink princess cake, please! My little sister loves to be “my little elf” and help me cook. She would love this recipe.

  114. Jules says

  115. Tania says

I am super excited for the give away!!!! I would love to see the red velvet fudge and Reeses Pieces frosting

  116. Caitlyn says

    Hi Katie!

I love your site! I think it’s great that you’re showing people that being vegan and healthy doesn’t mean you have to “sacrifice” or eat “rabbit food”. Unfortunately, although I have been following your blog religiously for months (and have even gotten some friends hooked!), I’ve never yet commented because, apparently, I’m a lazy bum…but really, there’s a first time for everything, I guess, so here goes:

I vote for the Chocolate Puppy Chow and then the Reese’s frosting. Lemon squares come up dead last (not a big lemon-in-desserts fan)…but those are just my thoughts 🙂

    Keep up the great work!

  117. Leanne says

Oh and my mum just walked past me + my laptop and she’s saying “Oh indeed I’d love some Healthy Lemon Squares” haha! 😀

  118. Sherone says

If I have to choose Lemon Squares please, although I feel like a traitor for not choosing something with chocolate! LOL

  119. Caitlin Beiermann says

I am new to your blog so I have only mad two of your recipes so far, but have loved both of them! I would love to try any of the ones you have listed.

    Here are my top Three

    1) Healthy Lemon Squares
    2) Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    3) Sugar Cookie Bars

      • Candice says

Thanks Katie! I think it would be awesome to expand to using almond and coconut flour! Then your recipes would be paleo-friendly too and even healthier. 🙂 I bet your awesome recipes would be a smashing hit amongst the paleo community if paleo-ized!

  120. Karla says

Ooh, the Reeses Pieces Frosting sounds good! My old, non-healthy version consisted of peanut butter, powdered sugar and milk, so it has to be better than that! Besides that, I vote for Red Velvet Fudge Cake and Pink Princess Cake.

  121. Jacqui says

Healthy Lemon Squares! My mom used to make unhealthy (but delicious!) lemon squares for our lunches growing up, and it would be great to return the favour in a healthy version!

  122. Jacqui @ HTLH says

Weird, a Jackie posted just before me and also said Lemon Squares, lol. Must be a name thing..

  123. Julia says

Ok first of all I love this site! My votes are for:
Chocolate Puppy Chow, Healthy Lemon Bars, and Reeses Frosting.
    Thanks so much!

  124. Kerry says

Sugar Cookie Bars pretty please with sugar on top!!! 🙂 <3

ps. I just made your Three-Ingredient Chocolate Bars! So yummy and healthy, I can't get over them!

  125. Katherine Rowe says

Red Velvet, Pink Princess & Spaghetti Squash please!
Hi Katie! I’m also a Katie, also a HUGE chocoholic, also a baker and also a health nut who wants to be healthy but still eat tons of dessert! (I was getting bored with my go-to “healthy” desserts; brownies made with egg whites & apple sauce and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies made the same way.) I stumbled across your blog a few months ago and I think it’s just amazing. I have been a regular reader ever since. You have tons of great recipes that I really love! And as a gluten intolerant girl, I LOVE that your recipes are adaptable for special diets.
Thank you so much for your blog. 🙂

  126. Krystle says

    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Secret Spaghetti Sauce
    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    a new pancake recipe…

POST THE MOST GUILT FREE RECIPE!
    THANKS

  127. Amanda says

Reese’s Pieces Frosting and Red Velvet Fudge Cake sound awesome! But I’m also casting a vote for the Secret Spaghetti Sauce, because I am in DIRE NEED of vegan main dish recipes.

  128. Alan Kleesattel says

    Hey,

Just as everyone else has said they ALL sound so great!
While I wouldn’t always choose this if it was just for me but since MOTHERS day is coming up I have to go with LEMON SQUARES. My Mother LOVES lemon things so I would love to be able to make these for her.
Great job as always, you are helping so many people in so many different areas. I have shared your site with quite a few friends and your recipes and they are always well received. I hope you are very happy with the work you are doing. We all appreciate it!

  129. kelly r says

So not fair! How do we choose? Ok if I must:
    pink princess cake
    red velvet fudge cake
    Lemon squares
    reddest pieces

  130. JenniferH says

In order of preference… its a hard decision..but…
    Healthy Lemon Squares
    Reeses Pieces Frosting
    a new pancake recipe…
    Hot Chocolate on a Stick

  131. Paolina says

Katie, I’ve been a long-time quiet follower. I’m not a vegan, not even a vegetarian, but I love your site! Your chocolate chip cookie dough pancakes with my own homemade chocolate syrup made a very indulgent birthday breakfast. I also love your milkshake recipes that I turn into my morning smoothie! That being said, I vote for Reeses Pieces frosting and a new pancake recipe! Thank you for all your hard work!!

  132. ~Jessica~ says

I’d love to see the secret spaghetti sauce and the pancake recipe: I love your savoury creations just as much as the sweet 🙂

    xxx

  133. Jess says

I’m going to have to vote for the new pancake recipe 🙂
Then the Reese’s Frosting to smother on top of the pancakes!! Oooh yeh.

  134. Alaine says

They all sound wonderful, but Chocolate Puppy Chow please! If you can find a way to make puppy chow healthy, I will love you forever!

  135. Jaana says

Hi Katie!! I absolutely love your chocolate blog 🙂 as for new recipes… you have to make Red Velvet Fudge Cake!!! red velvet + fudge + cake = heaven!! Good luck with everything!

  136. Sarah says

I’d love to see the red velvet fudge cake!! Also the strawberry cheesecake fruit dip and hot chocolate on a stick sound delicious. 🙂

  137. Charlotte says

Healthy lemon squares, Reeses pieces frosting and sugar cookie bars all sound AMAZING! I just want to say what an inspiration your blog is as someone who is trying to transition into veganism. You’re living proof that you don’t have to sacrifice all the yummy stuff to live a healthy lifestyle. 🙂
I was wondering if there is any way you could send me the recipe for the single-lady cookie dough pie you mentioned quite a while back, if you still have it. I think it may have been around valentine’s day that you mentioned it.Thank you so much!

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

Here’s the recipe so far, but it’s not perfected… I’m thinking it tastes a little dry right now, but maybe not? If you try it, let me know what you think!

•1/4c spelt flour (or maybe another flour like peanut flour?)
      •1/8 plus 1/16 tsp salt
      •1/8 tsp baking soda
•2 tsp sugar or evaporated cane juise
•1 stevia pack or 1 tablespoon more sugar
•1 tablespoon oil (coconut or canola or veg)
      •3 tablespoons milk of choice
      •1/4 tsp vanilla
      •2-3 tsp chocolate chips
Combine dry. Add wet. Microwave 1 min, 20 seconds (or more or less, depending on your microwave).

      • Samantha says

OK, I am maybe slightly embarrassed to admit this but I had so much fun so thank you. Anyway, I did test this recipe. Three versions:

        Spelt + coconut oil
        Oat flour + coconut oil
        Spelt + applesauce

All were done true to recipe. I used white sugar and almond milk. I did 1 minute 20 sec.

All three turned out nicely. My favorite for consistency and flavor would be spelt + coconut oil. When I do this again I will use brown sugar and increase the vanilla (I love vanilla).

None of my tests came out dry. Two came out very slightly runny in the center but I think that was because I microwaved two at once. And actually I liked it.

It was a fun way to relax for the evening.

        • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

You are awesome!!! Seriously, I think you might be my favorite person, Samantha. Thanks for being so active in the comment section… and for pretty much being the best taste-tester. I mean, three different trials? They should make a cookie dough medal for that ;). (And if they do, I want one too… so I can eat it.)

          • Samantha says

I agree, it would be a total honor to accept a medal like that! LOL.

Really, it is very fun for me and THANK YOU for what you do and being such a wonderful person.

  138. Shelley says

hahahaha have you had readers think you’re pregnant when you say you have a big announcement? Too funny!

I vote lemon squares or reeses frosting 🙂

  139. Aileen says

Ooh i’m so excited about that give away! I love the hint, that episode is hilarious!
But I’d love to see the Lemon Squares- w/ the heat coming I’d love to see something light, tangy and fruity!

  140. Aurelie says

Oh gosh, you sure pamper us!! They all sound DELICIOUS… mmmm… How is a girl supposed to choose!?!? 😉

But if you insist, my top picks would be Lemon Squares (sweet and sour AND it’s a half-cookie!), Reeses Pieces Frosting (because PB + CHOCOLATE!!!), and Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip (sounds super-convenient AND tasty!)

After that, it would be Red Velvet Fudge Cake (I’m a sucker for all things Red Velvet) and Hot Chocolate Sticks! (perfect party food, I think!)

P.S. This is my first time commenting, although I’ve been subscribing for a while now. You’re an inspiration, cliched as it sounds :’)

  141. Kat says

Oh oh oh Healthy Lemon Squares and Reeses Pieces Frosting please! Also the chocolate Puppy Chow. Although I hate that people call it Puppy Chow, Ewww. I always called them Muddy Buddies.

  142. Sapphire says

I’d like to see anything sugar cookie related! My mother-in-law is a diabetic and on a very low (to no) sugar diet, as well as a low salt diet and I need some more healthy sweet recipes for her. I’m trying to get her acclimated to stevia, and get her off artificial sweeteners, but it’s taking some time. She really likes sugar cookies, and I hope to see a few good recipes here, because I adore your recipes! 🙂

  143. Fit4sure says

Ooooh…I was beginning to have psychological issues as I couldn’t pick just one!

I’m voting for the Secret Spaghetti Sauce.

(although I may not be able to get the Strawberry Cheesecake Dip off of my mind in the wee hours of the morning!)

  144. Renee says

Oh my, hot chocolate on a stick? Have I died and gone to heaven? And a healthier puppy chow recipe sounds like it might just allow you to take over the world with it’s chocolatey amazingness.

  145. Felicia says

    Red Velvet Fudge Cane
    Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Hot Chocolate on a Stick
    Healthy Lemon Squares

    -Secret Spaghetti Sauce

Im sorry girl if I was only supposed to choose 1 but i don’t see that as being possible 🙂

  147. Emi says

They all sound good! I’m having a bake sale on Mother’s Day weekend, so maybe this can help.
    Oooh, Vita-mix…

  148. Erin says

I vote for the spaghetti sauce or the red velvet fudge cake! I can’t wait to see all of them though!

  149. Erin says

    Chocolate puppy chow!!
I always want something sweet to snack on, but usually it takes a lot of work and/or is unhealthy! (Cake, candy bar, etc).
    This would be perfect. 🙂

  150. Hanna says

Pancakes!!!! I think I’ve made all of your other pancake recipes at least once..hehe 🙂 I need a new one!

  151. Casey says

I definitely want to see healthy lemon bars. My mom is a sucker for lemon sweets and I’m sure this would set her mouth watering!

  152. Jaris says

LEMON SQUARES!!! I have actually been browsing recipes for lemon squares to try and make a healthy version!

  153. Rachel Christensen says

I loooooveee Pancakes! Please more pancakes. BUT honestly I’d be happy with anything from the above list…its like trying to choose the prettiest barbie at the store..THEY ARE ALL THE BEST 🙂

  154. Olivia says

pancakes all the way! your recipes are soo good, the strawberry shortcake pancakes are probably my favorites! (the strawberry cheesecake fruit dip sounds yummy too though!)

  155. Kit-Kat says

Everything sounds so exciting!!!! Might I add delicious, too? I don’t care which recipe you post first. You make the best creations, ever! Wish I could be your taste tester 😉

  156. Lana says

Lemon squares sound like they could be fantastic! I love lemon slice-y type things, but they’re the only citrus dessert I like, go figure.

Gorgeously cute cupcake photos, by the way! :3

  157. Sarah Beth says

Your blog is a God-send!!! It is so hard these days to enjoy the sweet life and be gluten-free, often grain-free, and when Im being good sugar-free!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

PS I vote for Lemon Squares 🙂

  158. Erica says

  160. Joanna says

I’ll have to go with the lemon squares. I haven’t had those in way too long. 🙂

  161. Jade C says

    Hi Katie!!

  164. kristine says

I vote healthy lemon bars, while I’m absolutely addicted to chocolate, lemon bars just seem appropriate for a Sunday brunch with mom ; )

  165. Nikki says

Hi Katie! I’ve been a following CCK faithfully since I discovered you a few years ago when I started reading it to pull myself out of depression. You’ve been my happy mentor- seriously! The post about your smiley face phase made something click in my brain that happiness was going to be a choice for me. I could have emailed you this, but I wanted to testify! I’m giving back today by offering my opinion:
Red Velvet Fudge Cake, Reese’s Pieces Frosting, Sugar Cookie Bars or the pancake recipe, especially if it’s gluten free. If I had to to choose only one, it would be whichever could be most easily made gluten free.
P.S.- By now I have lots of questions for you from one vegan runner to another. Would it be best to e-mail?

    .

  166. Choco-holic ;) (again lol) says

Red velvet fudge cake, sugar cookie bars, or new pancakes!!!!
I would love new oatmeal recipes too!!! 🙂

  167. Anastasia says

    2 – Reeses Frosting

3 – Sugar Cookie Bar recipe

    4 – Lemon squares

Yes, there are a lot of recipes, but there are lots of moms too! Maybe you should just go ahead and post them all. 🙂

  169. debbie says

I’m intrigued by the Chocolate Puppy Chow… Next in line, I’d choose the new pancake recipe, then the Healthy Lemon Squares. Of course, the entire list sounds YUMMY!!!

  170. Erin says

You can’t tease us with these yummy recipes and not post them…. So whatever doesn’t make the May cut will be done in June, right? 🙂
Top picks for right now are Secret Spaghetti Sauce and Healthy Lemon Bars.

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

The problem is that I keep getting more and more ideas to post… so some never get posted. But if I’ve mentioned one and you never see it, you can always ask for the recipe and I can post it in a comment!

  171. CSchulte says

Red velvet pancakes, secret spaghetti sauce (I love any dinner-type recipes!!), and healthy lemon bars all sound great!!!
I love the creative recipes, but sometimes I really appreciate the recipes that are easy to prepare without a lot of equipment (i.e. can just be mixed by hand, without a food processor) because I’m cooking from my dorm room! Thanks Katie, love all the recipes.

  172. Steph says

Fruit Dip (love!!), Lemon squares (they are on my mothers day menu already!), and pancakes!!

You’re amazing! Thank you for all the great and healthy recipes!

Ps: you look like a supermodel in your May 1 post. 🙂

    Lemon Squares
    Spaghetti Sauce
    Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip

  174. Alyson says

HOLY Vita-Mix!!!! SOOOOOO EXCITED!! I have been wanting one of these for FORever – but student loans monopolize all my moolah 🙁 …. can’t wait to buy awesome things when they are all paid off! This is on my rewards list for myself when I am debt free 🙂

I say yes, yes, yes, yes to the following:
    Red Velvet Fudge Cake
    Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip

I would love to see the lemon square recipe too please!

    Thank you,
    Danielle

  178. Sharon says

They all sound amazing, but I think that I would like to have the Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip. If you have trouble making a decision, just put all of the recipe names in a jar and pull one out and see what you have picked. Just plain ole easy!!
    Sharon

  179. Laurel Daley says

Reese’s Pieces Frosting! Omgomgomgomg! Side note- I always called them “Reese’s Peeceys” and only recently figured out that they were “pieces” like “pieces” of candy. D’oh. Oh well, I still call them that. They are my FAVORITE candy! I always loved the Reece’s Piece’s sundae from Friendly’s with the ice cream cone hat. Hmm I might have to make a homemade version of that soon.

  180. Gretchen says

If I had to choose two (although, they all sound delish!), I’d go with the lemon bars (my Mom’s favorite:)) and the Reese’s Frosting because I LOVE Reese’s!

  181. Lindsay says

    Lemon squares
    Healthy Puppy Chow

Moms favorite desserts are lemon so I need to do this for mothers day, the puppy chow is definitely for me. Look forward to the recipes!

  182. Danielle says

Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip please!!! or anything cheesecake. I’ve been dieing for cheesecake but every reciepe I find you need like 2-3 tubes of cream cheese and that’ s expensive for me so all in all I’m too cheap to make it and would love a cheesecake from you since your food it amazing 🙂

  183. Aggie says

Red Velvet Fudge Cake please and, for my daughter, I would love to see the strawberry cheesecake fruit dip. No matter what you pick it will be Delicious. They always are!

    3. Pink Princess Cake or Secret Spaghetti Sauce

  186. Wendi says

Hi Katie, I have a baking question for you. I LOVE your site and have made numerous recipes of yours. You talk about the magic bullet when you make some of your recipes. I bought it and can not get it to work. I tried numerous recipes using it and it never seems to chop up the dates. The dates seem to just hover over the top and get in a clumpy ball. I bought the bullet because my blender was doing the same thing so thinking that the bullet was different I went and bought it. Is there something I am doing wrong? Please help! Thank you! Your friend biting the bullet, Wendi in wisconsin…

    • CCK says

The bullet is good for single serving recipes. It sounds like you would be better off with a food processor, like a cuisinart. 🙂

  187. Natalie says

ahha. it’s like picking out my own present for mother’s day!

I’d say lemon squares…. but maybe not.. I’m a complete sucker for new recipes (mine, yours, theirs)

so new pancake recipe! your apple pancakes are a dream.

  188. Cathee says

    a new pancake recipe…

But they all sound yummy to me!

  190. Andrea says

I love sauce recipes so I would love to see your secret spaghetti sauce recipe! My other two votes are for the Red Velvet Fudge Cake if it does not use food coloring, and the pancake recipe! You can NEVER have too many pancakes!!! 🙂

  191. Victoria says

RED VELVET FUDGE CAKE! All the way, 100%!
My mom LOVES red velvet and I feel kind of bad I haven’t been able to make it for her even with all my time spent around southern ladies who make it. A healthier version would be absolutely awesome!

  192. Amie says

I am dying to know what makes the spaghetti sauce special. I love all of your recipes and the other ones sound amazing too. What’s a girl to choose?

  193. Robyn says

OMG I want them all. Except the lemon bars, I’m not so into those 😉

Healthy Lemon Squares and the Puppy Chow (mmmm!! love to see a healthy way to make that) sounds good…. 🙂

  195. Raechelle says

I’m putting my vote in for pancakes; always looking for new variations on that.
My second vote is for lemon squares-that just sounds really yummy at this moment; of course being only 5 weeks from my figure comp they all sound divine! lol!
    cheers!

  196. Keita says

Ooooooh! Choices – you make it so hard to choose, but thanks for EVERYTHING you do!!!!

    a new pancake recipe
    Hot Chocolate on a Stick
    Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip
    Pink Princess Cake
    Sugar Cookie Bars
Red Velvet Fudge Cake (sorry, not fond of all the red food coloring – do you have a healthier version?)

  197. Rande McDaniel @ The Vegetable Centric Kitchen says

  198. Karlie says

    I would love to see……
    1. Spaghetti Sauce
    2. Lemon Squares
    3. Chocolate Puppy Chow
    Although they all sound awesome!

  199. Lisa Broadley says

I say Secret Spaghetti Sauce as I’d like to know the secret!! Plus I’m excited to hear about your annoucement!

  200. Cookie222 says

I vote for the lemon squares, especially if they are gluten-free. Can I modify the recipe to make healthy key lime squares? I’m having a craving.

My daughter votes for the Red Velvet cupcakes. That’s her favorite and I’d make it more if it was healthier.

I have to thank you. You have inspired me to bake more because using your recipes means I’m not making junk and empty calorie-ladened sweets.

  201. Kiki says

Lemon squares and Reeses are definitely my top 2. My girls got Reeses for Easter and I ate them ALL so I need to get some more 🙂

  202. Jordan says

Chocolate puppy chow for sure! What mum wouldn’t love chocolate on her special day? And its got the name puppy in it! Even more adorable! 😀

  205. roselyn page says

seriously, they all sound wonderful. I always like a good pancake recipe and lemon squares sound DE LI CIOUS!!!!

  206. Sapphire says

I’d like to see the Sugar Cookie recipe, and I hope it’s sugar free! *lol* What a contradiction there! But my mother in law is diabetic, and I’m trying to make more and more desserts for her that are sugar free. And for me, anything will do, but the lemon bars seem to be a nice change of pace, and quite summery 🙂

And now, I’m off to make a one minute chocolate cake with the new reese’s frosting!

  207. Anonymous says

Red velvet fudge cake, princess cake, an lemon squares! I’m so excited. By the way, I brought your smart blondes recipe to our work pot luck today and they disappeared in two seconds flat. Everybody loved them!

  208. KT loves FOOD says

First of all, from one Katie Foodie to the other, I’m obsessed with your blog. You have an amazing variety of recipes of food to satisfy all cravings. A healthy cook and baker myself, I have transformed my family’s opinion of “healthy” desserts (the cookie pie in particular). I would love to see the healthy lemon squares, sugar cookie bars, and strawberry cheesecake dip.

Would you consider putting together a berry creme tart or springy savory recipe too?

    love love,
    katie

  209. Stephanie H. says

Okay, in order of preference (since I can’t just pick ONE!):
Red Velvet fudge cake (and this one’s ahead by a lot)
Reeces Pieces frosting (to put on the Red Velvet cake?)
    Hot chocolate on a stick
    Healthy Lemon Squares

That last one would be my mom’s favorite, so I feel like it’s appropriate to mothers’ day. Though I’m sure that she’d like any of these!

Thanks for all the wonderful you put into the world!

  213. cindy says

I was totally going to vote for the lemon squares…and it looks like they might win!!! I was also going to vote for the hot chocolate on a stick, which doesn’t look so promising for this post. Maybe some other time. Soon. Thank you for all of your posts!!! Love your blog!

I vote for Strawberry cheesecake fruit dip and healthy lemon squares. I guess as the weather gets warmer I think lighter so these sound great. Can’t wait for your big announcement!

  221. Sonyanijntje says

It all sounds great! But we’re gonna get all the recipes anyway right ;P, just not all on Mothersday and not all at once.
But, if I think about what my mum would like most: this is my top 3:
    – Pancakes
    – Lemon squares
    – Strawberry Cheesecake Fruit-dip (With strawberries to dip in it… and chocolate ^-^ )

And besides the recipe, I’m also curious about your anouncement (your own cookbook maybe? Can we win a copy??). And also looking forward to your giveaway, I’m excited (trying to stay put on my chair instead of jumping up and down)!!

  225. Mara says

    Lemon squares!!

But I want to log in an official complaint that it is not fair to tease us with so many yummy-sounding recipes and not give us recipes to all of them! =D

  226. Nana says

They all sound wonderful, but if I have to list, lemon squares, sugar cookies and the Red Velvet Fudge cake. The Reeses Pieces Frosting sounds great too, which you have posted.
Thanks for all of the wonderful healthy recipes. My daughter got me a flat of strawberries last night and one for herself. I made us each strawberry ice cream from your ice cream recipe, delicious. I made peanut butter/chocolate chip the other day, her family loved it and so did I.

  227. Laura says

PUPPY CHOW!!! I have been craving it like crazy lately, but if I let myself eat a little bit, I end up eating a lot. Also, reese’s pieces frosting. Just cuz I like peanut butter and chocolate. A lot. The pink princess cake sounds good too, so does the spaghetti sauce. So… My picks:

    1. Puppy chow
    2. Pink princess cake
    3. Reese’s frosting
    4. Spaghetti sauce
    5. Red velvet fudge cake

  228. Taylor says

Your Healthy Sugar Cookies are already one of my FAVORITE recipes EVER, so I’d absolutely love to see what the Sugar Cookie Bars entail! I’m sure all the recipes will be delicious and wonderful! =)

  229. Erin says

Can you show how to make the cheesecake fruit dip? I teach middle school cooking and we are in our fruit unit and I would love to have a foods lab using your recipe! Healthy and vegan! I have told some of my students and co-workers about your awesome blog. I even put a link on the recipe section of my school website under my favorite foods.

      Sure thing!

      Strawberry-Cheesecake Dip

3/4 cup Tofutti cream cheese (I used non-hydrogenated)
6 strawberries (I used frozen, and thawed them so they’d blend but still make the sauce cold)
      1 tsp pure vanilla extract
dry sweetener of choice, or NuNaturals stevia drops (I haven’t tried this with a liquid sweetener and worry it would be too runny.)

Substitution notes: You can sub coconut butter for the tofutti cream cheese. You could probably also sub cashews (soak for a few hours, then drain and puree) or raw cashew butter.

If you try any of the versions, I would really love to know how it goes! 🙂

Spaghetti sauce, please!! I love your recipes!

Oh my goodness a Vitamix give-away?! That’s incredible. May I ask how you pick your winners for give-aways…is it a random drawing of names/entries or do you pick the best/your favorite post?! Thanks!

  231. Clara says

I would really love it if you could pass on the chocolate puppy chow in a comment. It’s my mom’s favorite, and I really want to make it for her. Thanks Katie!!!

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

      I didn’t post it yet 🙁
I can’t seem to find the recipe. Unfortunately, this happens to me too often, as I scribble my recipes down on tiny sheets of whatever paper is available (or even cardboard boxes) when I get an idea. I might have to try and re-create it when I get time, but I keep hoping the recipe will turn up somewhere.

  233. Sophie says

As far as I can tell you’ve only posted two of those so far. Don’t get me wrong, both of those recipes were great, but are you planning to post any others from that list?

The red velvet fudge cake would beach appreciated!
