Goodbye Larabars!

You say goodbye, and I say hello…

Note to readers: I am not above giving shout outs in return for chocolate. Winking smile But just to let y’all know: I don’t sing Larabar’s praises because they sometimes send me surprise packages out of the blue. I’d sing their praises anyway, as I truly love the Jocalats.

This time, the reason they sent me bars was to thank me for being a huge fan and to let me know that they’re retiring the chocolate-cherry flavor. (At first I panicked, thinking they were retiring all Jocalats. But luckily that’s not the case.)

Erica and the amazingly-generous Larabar company want to surprise five of you, too. Read below for details:

I really need to get around to making some of the Fudge Babies – any recipe – they all look great! And I need to cut down on my sugar intake 🙂
I would like to try one of the Larabars because they do not have them at the regular grocery store I go to and I’ve never tried one. 🙁

  2. Miriam says

Hmm, never tried a Jocalat! I usually buy cliff bars or luna bars, but have gotten really bored with them lately, would love to try these.

Also, I made your mushroom stroganoff the other night and it turned out sooo great… will definitely be making it again and again. It made me want to try more of your recipes!

  3. Michele says

My favorite was by far the German Chocolate Cake, also retired. Sigh. Every time I fall in love with something, they take it away!! Ditto for Victoria’s Secret and the constantly changing sports bras they offer. I really need to learn to just buy 50 when I find one I like 🙂

  4. Kellie says

I just recently got hooked on Larabars. We went on vacation and I packed some. I was worried that they wouldn’t satisfy me, but they were great. I have not had the Jocalat but I do love the pb cookie one!

  5. sarah s says

i still have yet to try larabars and/or jocalat bars… i know i’m missing out, what am i thinking?? i need to get my hands on some!

  6. Stefanie says

I need to get around to making some of your fudge. It looks and sounds tasty. It is a bummer they are retiring one of the flavors but maybe they have a new one they are going to release.

  7. Kari says

I’ve never had a Jocolat one, but I eye them every time I go to the grocery store. Also, I’ve been meaning to try that mint shake. Gosh I want to win these.

  8. Carrie (Moves 'N Munchies) says

YAYAYAYAYA okay i CAN enter becuz i can send it to my familiy in the US and they can give it to me when they visit 😀

i LOVE THE MINT jocolat.. but thats the only once ive tried cuz they dnt have Larabars or jocalats over here 🙁 so i cud only get it once..

  9. Hallie says

I want to make fudge babies for sure, but I haven’t had access to a kitchen in a while 🙁 I’ve also been following you on twitter, and tweeted about the giveaway!

You scared me though, I thought ALL Larabars were saying goodbye at first and I was going to be very sad. 😛

  10. Rosalind says

I’m dying to try your volumnious oatmeal trick! And any of your single ladies cupcakes. unfortunately, my dorm situation has me fresh out of any ingredients needed to bake. Hence my desire for Jocolat!

  11. Katie says

I love your fudge babies recipe! I tried them and added some Chia seeds and they were great. I think next time I’m trying fudge babies with chocolate chips and some cherries!!

  12. Ambika S. says

I have never tried Jocolat bars before!
And tomorrow, I’m planning on making your mushroom stroganoff!

  13. Chanterelle says

The lavender cream recipe you posted a while back looks not only delicious but absolutely beautiful!

  14. Heather says

I’ve also never tried Jocolat but am a huuuuge fan of larabars. why oh why haven’t i tried them yet?

  15. Bethany I. says

I’ve been meaning to try your single lady cookie and good girl fudge. I can’t wait for spring break so I have a kitchen again to work with. Living in a dorm is so not fun when you enjoy cooking.

  16. jen says

I’ve never tried Jocalat and would love to! Also I would definitely love to make your red velvet pancakes when i get a chance!

  17. Nina says

I love Larabars though I will have to say that before I found your site I had never heard of Jocalat. My favorites are Key Lime Pie and Coconut Creme Pie. I’ve loved all of your recipes that I’ve tried so far: Peanut butter babies, raw cheesecake, homemade Cocoabliss (I love Artisana coconut butter) and fudge babies. I really enjoy your blog.

  18. kayleigh says

i would love to try your vegan cheesecake recipe, i just never have all of the ingredients!! and i have never had a jocalat, but they sound amazing(:

  19. Juliet says

I’ve never tried any of the Jocolats… but I like the cherry pie Larabars a lot. I usually bring a few with me when I’m going on vacation and don’t know what the vegetarian offerings will look like…

I’ve been meaning to try your chilly-day chili recipe. Unfortunately, it is still winter where I am…

  20. Dianne says

Ooh free larabars! About your recipes, I was actually drooling over the ‘fudge’ yesterday. My only conundrum is which variation to make first! I’m thinking chocolate peanut butter, of course.

  21. Sarah says

I love me some jocalat! The recipe I want to try of yours is your Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip. Anything that includes the words chocolate, cookie, dough, oh and dip will make me salivate on command.

  22. Taryn says

I am dying to try your milkshakes and smoothies you have been talking about recently- and I must admit yesterday I made some vegan fudge for the first time- divine!

  23. Ashley (The Vegetable Life) says

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Larabars but I have never tried Jocolat…. I think I am going to have to change that soon! I cant wait to make the cookie dough dip when I have friends over this weekend… I am a big fan of dessert appetizers before a meal!

  24. Stacey (The Home-Cooked Vegan) says

This is an easy one! The recipe that has been in the back of my mind since seeing it on your blog are your Red Velvet Pancakes. Seriously, I dream of them. I wake up thinking of them. Thinking of how breakfast as a vegan SHOULD be. Can’t wait to get home and try them!

  25. Emily says

*takes final bite of peanut butter banana pizzert*
I have already made a ton of your delicious recipes (My fridge is currently stocked with fudge babies, peanut butter frosting and leftover mushroom storganoff.), but there are still so many more I want to try! Last night I bought the ingredients for an “Almond Joy” version of your milkshake: coconut butter, cocoa powder and almond milk. I cannot wait to make it!!!
Oh, and I never had jocolat, only regular larabar, so I would LOVE to win this!

  26. Bryana says

I like the jocolats, but definitely nowhere near as much as you do! 🙂 I really like some of the lunas though. The apple pie is my favorite. Gotta love anything with cinnamon and raisins!

  27. Jenny says

I’ve never gotten the chance to try a Jocalat bar… They only have Larabars where I am – but I do LOVE those! I like heating up the apple-pie Larabars and eating them with your cookie dough (the ‘healthy chocolate chip cookie dough’ sans the chocolate chips tastes like vanilla ice cream, to me!). 🙂

A recipe I need to try? Well… I need to try out your “blended grains” trick so I can eat delicious things like blueberry muffin bulgur pudding and banana bread in a bowl!

  28. Meg says

I’ve been drooling over the coconut fudge since you posted the recipe, but haven’t had the time to make it yet.

I love the chocolate cherry Larabars, but they’ve been difficult to find. Sad they’ll be gone for good.

  29. alice says

WE DONT HAVE THEM I THE UK! i have always wanted to try them after reading so much about em from you. my favourite recipe fo yours is your carrotcake make it all the time

  30. Susie says

Oh my goodness, an entire case of Jocalat bars sounds fabulous! I need to finally get around to picking up some coconut butter so I can try some of your coconut recipes–I’ve had quite the coconut obsession the past month!

  31. Yin says

I’ve never tried Jocalat before, but been meaning to! But the Chocolate Chip Brownie Larabar is my fave 😉

  32. Ruthiey says

Hey Katie, I made your chocolate coconut banana fudge and it was so good! thanks for making your recipes so easy to make and so delicious!

  33. Mali K (The Mali K Whey) says

There are few things I wouldn’t do for free chocolate!

The recipe of yours that I would most like to try is the fudge babies – I have even bought some dates in preparation! Just need to fix my blender, and then I’m good to go…

Others on the list are the raw fudge (every flavour!) and the raw cheesecake.

I think you put the box on your head because there is no place in this world where chocolate doesn’t belong!

  34. Sukee says

I’ve tried most of the Lara Bars (love ’em) but haven’t found any Jocalot bars yet. They sound divine!

I’m a fairly new reader and so glad I’ve found your recipes. Seriously delicious stuff here. I think my favorite has got to be the sugar-free fudge. I do a variation where I take freeze-dried fruit (Trader Joe’s has freeze-dried strawberries, blueberries and bananas, or I’ve heard Target carries some fruits, or any camping supply store) and then crush the fruity bits with a mortar and pestle (or your crushing device of choice… hammer? rolling pin?) into a powder and then add to your basic CCK sugar-free fudge recipe. I add about two tablespoons, but like you I don’t have a big sweet tooth, so some might like to up the quantity. Total yum! My favorite variation is banana-strawberry.

Thanks for the great recipe ideas. You rock!

  35. HVL says

Damnit, I want to enter! Boo-hiss to US-only giveaways! 😛 hehe.

Oh, I really want to try a Jocalat. I’ve only tried a few Larabar flavours. The UK needs to hurry up and get on the bandwagon with the Larabar love! (And the Daiya love, and the Teese love, and the Dandies love, etc etc… you get the picture!)

  36. stampylisa says

I want to try a single cupcake! I also really like the chocolate chip Larabars, they are delish. I found some blueberry ones at WF last trip, so I need to check those out then my tastebuds are working again after my recent illness. bleh. I would LOVE to win some of the jocalat cherry bars!!! I have not tried them yet and am sad they are leaving!

  37. Sarah Beth says

Absolutely love Larabars! I’m a college swimmer and have to rely on quick and healthy snacks throughout the day, and its nice to be able to pronounce every ingredient in my bar. I love the Lemon bar and Apple Pie flavors, but can’t wait to try the Blueberry Muffin (I have yet to spot it on shelves where I shop)

I’d love to make your Hot Cocoa Fudge Babies as soon as I find the time in my schedule!

  38. Miranda says

Larabar is such a fantastic company! I’m currently cutting out even natural sugar right now, but I would love to have a box of those bars in my freezer for the future! Frozen Larabars are SOOOOO good! 🙂

  39. Dawn says

I’m definitely wanting to try your pizzert, but it’s a meal I’m wanting to make for when my niece and nephew come visit.. So I have a few others to help me eat it. Lord knows I’d easily eat that whole thing with how delicious it sounds! 😉

  40. Cat says

I’ve actually never tried Jocolats because I can’t seem to find them in any of the health stores nearby (only larabars). However, I’ve made up for it my making how fudge baby families… that promptly have a family reunion in my tummy 🙂

I’ve actually never tried making a pizzert and I want to give it a try this weekend. I tend to make smoothies during the week because it’s easier to take to work, but this cold weather calls for a yummy pizzerty type breakfast!!

  41. Bailey says

I’ve actually never had a larabar… I hear so many bloggers raving about them though! Maybe it’s time I try them!

  42. Gloria says

Eeee! I’ve never tried the chocolate cherry version but those 2 flavors blend so nicely in a smoothie that I can imagine them in brownie form would be delicious.

I MUST try your fudge tonight because I’m out of dessert and… that’s just not ok 😉 I’m excited to try the pizzert as well – topped with PB because I hear today is national peanut butter lovers day!!

  43. CatK says

I’d love to try your single lady banana bread! And the carrot cake as well.
As for my favorite Jocalat, I’ve never had one. Chalk it up to being a poor college student + not having access to a grocery store. But I do love Larabars!

  44. krickit6 says

I keep thinking I should try some of your meal-ish recipes but I can’t stop making the dessert-y ones instead! 🙂 LOVE THEM! Thanks for everything, CCK! Oh, especially the Snickerdoodle Oatmeal I had for breakfast yesterday – YUM!!

  45. Lindsay says

I am dying to try a pizzert– I need to try the chocolate cherry Jocalat, too! I love the combination of chocolate and fruit, that way you don’t need to decide between a chocolate-y treat or a fruity treat! Why are they retiring the chocolate cherry flavor? 🙁

  46. Sue P says

Yum! My kids and I love all the larabars. Our current favorite is the lemon but we can never turn down chocolate here either. I keep meaning to make up a batch of your coconut melties as a good for your treat around here too. All your recipes look wonderful but I also want to get around to your oatmeal ideas, especially the raspberry chocolate truffle. Oh, and your recent post on pizzert looks intriguing too!

  47. Jade says

I love larabars, but have yet to try Jocalats. But based on my enthusiasm for chocolate, I’m sure I would love them!

  48. Tori says

I’ve booked marked so many of your recipes you don’t even know!! I want to try the pizzert real bad though! I’ve never tried the Jocolat bars, so if I win and end up liking them, they’ll definetly have a rise in sales because I tend to obsess over bars sometimes! 🙂

  49. Lori says

I have no idea why I have never tried Jocolat bars! I love Larabars so I’m sure I would love the Jocolats too.
Just yesterday I was thinking how I have to make your pizzert!!

  50. emily says

i want to try your banana bread in a bowl. & your mushroom stroganoff. & the single-lady series. 🙂 &…. well, everything.

& i tried a jocalat bar awhile back, on your recommendation. i had the very-decadent [and good] plain chocolate one. although, i must say, i’m really a fan of your fudge babies & variations.

anddd you likely put the box on your head so that we could see your cute top.

all right. you should let me win now. 😉

  51. RachelBethany says

I made my own raw energy bars and then realized they were essentially the same as your original fudge babies, though shaped differently. Now I’d like to experiment with different flavors!

  52. Angie says

hi Katie! I love your blog, and your many-flavored fudge baby recipes! My favorite so far are the Cashew Cookie babies, and next on my list are definitely the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough babies! I even bought a jar of Coconut Butter just to try your coconutty recipes– my significant other is going to love the raw banana fudge (maybe with some peanut butter added)!

Thanks for doing what you do (and I hope I win)!!

  53. Kristin S. says

Hi Katie! I would loveee to try your raw cookie dough milkshake. I’m going to get the ingredients tonight! And I’ve also never tried Jocalat bars so I would love the chance!

  54. änne says

Your voluminous oatmeal I almost have every morning, its so much tastier than regular oatmeal…my current favourite is with cocoa powder, banana and some nuts 🙂 and in the fridge there’s still some halfway finished coconut butter waiting for my new food processor…and with it all tasty recipies you have for coconut butter;-)
I’m gonna be in the U.S. in june together with my cousin (she will be the bridesmaid of her guestsister)…does that qualify me?;-)
can’t wait to hit Whole Foods,I’ve already made a nice shopping list, including larabars…unfortunately they don’t seem to exist here Germany, even nothing similar…but they look sooo tasty,I’ll definitely try to make them at home soon….

  55. ashley nicole says

I really want to try Cookie Dough dip, but I have to get some Tofutti first 😉 Crossing my fingers to win. I LOVE LARABARS but have never tried Jocalat! Thanks, CCK!

  56. courtney says

Why would anyone question your decision to put the box of Larabars on your head? Forget Lady Gaga’s meat dress, there’s a deliciously VEGAN fashion statement if I ever saw one ;)!

  57. Heather says

I am going to make your coconut banana butter (and fudge). Though, your pizzert recipes keep calling my name!

  58. Samantha says

Fudge Babies!!! I need to try these! And I love all of the jocalat larabars. Impossible to pick just one flavor 😀

  59. Gina says

I’ve never tried a Larabar before! Dying to! Especially the chocolate flavored, because like you I’m obsessed 🙂
I really want to make the gluten-free pizzert you made yesterday 🙂
    & your fudge 😉

  60. Sarah says

Never tried the Jocalat but they sound yumazing. And I won’t judge you for putting the box on your head. I mean, I can’t predict what I would do if I got boxes of Jocalat in the mail! Hopefully I would react as tamed as you.

  61. Sarah says

Katie, I was wondering why you have them on your head 🙂 And I can’t believe I have been wanting to try any of your fudge baby recipes for so long and haven’t gotten around to it yet! Thanks for offering the giveaway!

  62. becca says

I want to try your chocolate chip cookie dough babies :)! I love all your recipes. I also want to try the pizzerts in all different varieties!

  63. Jennie says

I have loved all of the recipes I have tried so far! This weekend I am going to try two of your recipes I have been dying to try: a cinnamon raisin pizzert topped with banana butter!

  64. Rachel says

the jocolats are my favorite too! especially chocolate hazelnut. i don’t know if i’ve ever tried chocolate cherry, but i basically rely on them to sustain me through my college classes, they’re lifesavers!

maybe you could try balancing a box of laras on your head? you know, to perfect your posture for a future modeling career 😉

  65. Michelle says

Hi Katie! I only found your site very recently and so haven’t had a chance to try anything yet. But I am quite excited by it all! I’ve been vegetarian for 20+ years and in the last few have been eating vegan more and more of the time. Thanks for sharing your recipes!

  66. Kelly Michelle says

YUM, luckily I won’t really miss that flavor too much. the good news is if they retire one it leaves room to make a new one instead 🙂

  67. Angie says

OMG! Your watermelon salsa looks AMAZINGGG!! It’s getting really warm here in FL and that’s something i’m going to make SOON! And you’re putting that box on your head instead of your mouth because you’re trying to hold them up from all of us screaming fans 😉

  68. Jane says

I have never tried the Jocalat bars, and I am sad that they are retiring them. The picture of the box on your head is funny….it is “what’s on your mind”.

I have always wanted to try your Pizzert. It looks so tasty. 😉

  69. Cassie says

I LOVE the picture with the box on your head – looks like something I’d do!! And I’d LOVE to eat them – I have never tired that kind before, and I’m dying to!! I’d also like to turn my husband on to some healthier snack options!

  70. Christine says

I’ve never gotten to try a Jocalat bar!

And, being a single gal…I love all the single girl recipes!

  71. emma @ says

I love larabars!!! I’ve not had a Jocalat bar but I’m sure they are a taste sensation!

Thanks to you I can now make coconut butter! (and fudge) yee haw… please enter me in the contest. I haven’t tried the jocalat bars!

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

LOL yes! You got it! That guy loves chocolate. He’s so sneaky; once, around Halloween, he jumped from the couch to the table and ate a bunch :(. We thought he was gonna die, but he didn’t even get sick!

  73. Vanessa says

I’ve never tried the Jocalat bars before! I have a mental list of all your recipes that I want to try, but the one that’s been on my mind the most lately is pizzert! =)

  74. Jennifer Fabbri says

I LOVE your blog and check it everyday. While I’ve only tried a few, but I’ve bookmarked about a hundred more and will make the rest when my crazy kids allow me to. Plus, I LOVE Larabars and have never tried the Jocalat (I live in the middle of nowhere).

  75. Erin says

I’m actually making my shopping list right now– and will be making Larabars & Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Babies tomorrow!! I can’t wait to eat them!
I’ve been wanting to try the Jocalat bars- the only problem…. they don’t sell them up here!! 😉

  76. Brooke says

I’ve been eyeing your fudge recipes that involve coconut butter and bananas. I really need to make those!

I make all sorts of fudge baby variations for myself all the time, and I’ve created a few “fruit baby” variations of my own. Thanks so much for turning me on to this idea–and I love the soy-free vegan recipes! I’m not a vegan (but my stomach is happier with a heavily vegan diet) but I’m also fairly soy-sensitive. Your stuff is great! 🙂

  77. Maya says

I want to try every single one of your recipes that involves coconut butter! I need to get around to buying some so I can get at all that fudge!

  78. sarah says

I’ve never tried a jocolat but I am dying to! I love larabars but my wholefoods has a lim8ited variety…thanks 4 doing this giveaway!!!

  79. Meghan says

I LOVE the mint chocolate jocalat bars!!! I’ve never tried the chocolate cherry ones but hopefully I’ll win and then I can try them! (and fall in love right before they’re discontinued hah)

  80. Anne says

Oh, you had me at chocolate. I am actually planning to go to the store tonight tonbuy some coconut oil for, well, everything, and thought I’d are what else they had for making one of your chocolate recipes. I’m leaning toward the fudge…can’t resist fudge.

  81. Lori Ann says

Your website is great, and its where I got the recipe to make my own Lara bars at home…which incidentaly my husband as has named LaLa bars(that’s what my friend’s call me If you feel like sending one of those Jocalat boxes my way I would be forever grateful!
Thanks for all your hard work!

  82. Lorin says

I would love to try any of you Fudge Baby variations or the brownie batter pancakes that you make. Honestly, though I want to make everything you feature on your blog, but those are one of the top recipes.

  83. Hannah says

I wanna make the mint chocolate chip shake! This morning I was feeling like I wanted to make some fudge babies…so I did:) The shake is next on my list!
Hm…I’ve never had a Jocalat bar, but the way everyone raves about them makes me think they must be amazing!

  84. Tulika says

I’ve never tried Jocalat but I should def look into it! I made your breakfast pizzert last week with some chocolate chips….it was delicious!!!!

  85. Heather B. says

I would reaaaaallly luuuuv to try your Vegan “Peanut Butter Cup” pie because for one, I’ve never really ever had a vegan dessert before, two I luuuuuv peanut butter cups (i love me some reeses), and three, just the fact that its made with zucchini is awesome! I didn’t know you could even make a dessert out of a vegetable (other than carrots!)!

Haha and also, it would be a lovely dessert to have for St. Patricks Day with its lovely green hue and all!

And, I’ve never tried a Jocolat bar before. Are they like larabar’s version of a healthy candy bar? (mmmm and chocolate covered cherries sounds good).

  86. Erica says

Can’t wait to give your sugar-free fudge a try. Maybe I’ll do a chocolate hazelnut variation to match my favorite Jocolat!

  87. genny says

I would love to try any of your fudgebaby recipes or your banana butter 🙂
And you look cute w/the box on your head!

  88. Michelle says

Honestly Katie, I’d love to try any of your dessert recipes, stir fry, or oatmeal recipes….okay basically anything. It all looks so good!

  89. Lindsay @ says

I have a list of your recipes I want to make – to name a few: PB fudge babies and the Victoria’s Secret 32C cups 🙂 My fave jocalat flavor is the mint chocolate – yum! Ooh – blend one of those into your mint chocolate shake. That could be yummy!

  90. Alyson says

Hey girly! I haven’t commented (or even blogged…) in a while, because school has been absorbing my life! So, I just thought I’d let you know that I’m still a devoted reader and fan of all of your posts and amazing recipes! I think that the reason you put those bars on your head was because you were so super excited to get them, you just wanted to lift them up and thanking God for them! 😉 Hahahahha. I don’t know! It’s definitely a new form of flattery, but you also might want to make a fashion statement by wearing them as a hat! 😉 It could work!

    Much love, chica!!! 😀

  91. Lauren says

I still need to try a Pizzert! Jocalats are the best, my old school used to sell them & regular larabars – I miss the convenience of having them whenever I want.

  92. Brittany says

I’ve never entered a blog contest before but this one sounds really interesting! I usually eat Clif bars but I’m always up for something new. 😀

  93. Lauren @ChiGalLauren says

I loveeee Larabars and I actually just tried the Jocolat last week…the chocolate cherry was so good, that makes me sad they’re going away!

  94. Debbie R says

Absolutely LOVE your fudge Babies…and so easy to make! Bought a food processor just so I could do it easier and more often!

I think the JOCOLAT is on your head because chocolate always goes to our heads (not our hips!)

  95. chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says

I need to win this because I’ve NEVER tried this flavor, and I love Larabars – I’m so sad they are retiring that flavor!

  96. Laura @ Meet Virginia says

I’ve never tried this flavor either! I do love Larabars, and stick my Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flavor in the microwave for 12 seconds and it seriously tastes just like a fresh homemade cookie. YUM! I can’t imagine how delicious the Jocolat bars would be warmed up!! And you are beautiful even when you have a box full of snacks on your head!!! 🙂

  97. eve says

So sad Larabar is retiring the cherry-chocolate! Definitely my favorite flavor combo. And I make your snickerdoodle babies all the time, they are great little treats.

  98. Hayley says

I’ve only ever tried the chocolate mint ones, but I loved them! I would also love to try the other jocalot flavors. The first time I ate one of these, I had to recheck the label to see if these were really made with all natural healthy ingredients, because they taste like a brownie to me!

  99. Katie says

I have not tried a Jocalat either, but I’d love to try one and then pass out samples to all my blog’s followers!

  100. Kristin says

I am crazy excited about gluten free pizzerts. I’m grateful you are giving GF recipes a whirl. I died laughing about your crumbles, an experience I get a lot when trying out a new GF combo from my head. Thanks for giving us some GF love – it can be a challenge to be vegan and GF!

  101. Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free says

Ha! This is so fun! And there are so many recipes I want to try….I have been loving your chocolate mint shake, so I think I want to try your cookie dough shake next. How about for an afternoon snack?

  102. Leslie says

Love Larabars and love chocolate even more so I am surprised I haven’t tried a Jocalat…hope I win because I love these guys are pre-work out fuel!

  103. Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free says

I’ve never actually tried a jocolat *go hide in shame* but since I am such a big fan of chocolate mint (like i said above) That’s the one I would try!

I love your blog and Larabars and Jocolats! My favorite Jocolat is the regular chocolate but I also like the chocolate coffee!

  105. Vanessa says

I really want a Jocalat t-shirt! Yum. I also use CCK’s melted banana trick every morning in my oatmeal. Good stuff.

  106. Shannon C. says

After I recently became a reader of your blog and fell in love with the ever-popular fudge babies, next I want to try your recipe for curry. I love Indian and Thai curries and would love to learn how to make my own!

  107. Susan says

There are so many recipes of yours that I want to try (I’ve already tried quite a few!), but the one that’s been on my list the longest is the pizzert!

  108. Brian Woz says

Me love Larabars long time! Call me old fashioned, but I still like Apple Pie the best. Haven’t tried the Jocalat yet so what better way than to win a box for free!

    Love the bloggy blog.

  109. Anna says

Its so hard to get any of the larabars here in australia, but I have tried the plain jocalat bar and it blew my mind. so cocoa-y and delish! I am a dark chocolate fiend…

  110. Anita Ruiz says

I am a huge fan of Larabars. However, I have never tried a Jocalat….guess that means I have to win 🙂 My current favorite is peanutbutter and chocolate chip.

  111. Lilly says

Obviously you put the box on your head because they were on your mind! 😀 I’m cheesy, I know, it’s alright.
Your site rocks, just like you! Thanks girl, for all the amazing recipes, ideas, and super fab posts!

  112. Anna says

Oh boy, I want to try so many of your recipes! I’m vegan about half the year (sounds strange, but it’s for religious reasons- I’m Orthodox Christian and we’re vegan Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year plus several other long periods). Anyways, Lent is just next week so I’ll be vegan for awhile and will have a nice long chance to try lots of your recipes. 🙂 I LOVE larabars by the way~ those look deLISH.

  113. Laura says

I’ve had the recipe for the Raw Cookie Dough Milkshake open in my browser since you posted it. I can’t wait to make it!

  114. Beth says

I want to try the 24 Carrot Cake Muffins! I already love the chocolate chip cookie dough babies!

Also, I have linked this on my blog!

  115. Disturbed says

Hmmm, I think the recipe I am going to try soon is the cheesecake mouse, or maybe the upcoming birthday cake batter milkshake 🙂

  116. Raven says

Your red velvet pancakes are on the top of my to-make list! I love red velvet cake, but a pancake version sounds even better.

Unfortunately, I haven’t tried any Jocalats yet. They don’t have them at my grocery store. But Chocolate Cherry sounds amazing, so I’m sad they are discontinuing it! Hopefully I’ll win so I can try it.

  117. Sahar says

I still haven’t gotten around to making a single lady cupcake – crazy, I know. I have no excuse haha

Another thing I haven’t tried? A Jocolat bar. I love the regular larabars though so I really want to try these!

  118. Vegyogini says

I definitely want to try your fudge babies (and their spin-offs) recipes! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  119. Namaste Gurl says

I’d have to agree with you, Katie. Jocalots are my pick over the regular larabars– I mean who can’t resist chocolate? I love the mint- chocolate flavor! 🙂

  120. Corey @ the runner's cookie says

I’ve been wanting to try your fudge babies for so long!! It’s going to happen soon I think 🙂 Love your blog, Katie!

  121. Eleanor@eatinglikeahorse says

I know I can’t enter but…I’ve been meaning to try a pizzert for so long – can’t believe I haven’t made one yet! I think they’re on your head because, er, in that picture, you truly are Chocolate-Covered 🙂

  122. Sarah A says

I haven’t made a pizzert yet. It’s on my list of awesome foods to try! Oh, and my favorite larabar is definitely the Jocolat Chocolate Coffee. I don’t even like drinking coffee, but coffee AND chocolate are win win 🙂

  123. Sarah says

The recipe I wanna try is a microwaved Jocalat…they sell them at my school…right NEXT TO the microwaves…:DD My favorite flavor is chocolate, of course!

  124. Luciana says

I better stock up! Chocolate and cherry is my favorite combo. Of course, I could make them myself, but they’re nice for a treat! I really want to try your chocolate chip cookie dough dip!

  125. Elle says

i’ve never tried the jocalat bars, but i love larabars, so i’m sure i would love these too! haha, cute pic. 😉

  126. Jess from Midwest Vegan says

I am going to try your Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream (or maybe the Pizzert…) because it just sooo happens that I have all the ingredients! That’s always a plus!

As for the Jocalats, I’ve never actually had one! The closest Jocalat is an hour and a half away. Le sigh.

That’s really cool of the Larabar company though, they sure know how to win over fans!

  127. Kady says

I haven’t tried Jocalats yet, I would love to! I tried your Banana Bread Single-Lady Cupcake the other day (microwave version) and it turned out fabulously!

  128. Lisa says

I’ve only tried the cashew cookie flavor larabar, so I would love to win some jocalats! I really really need to try making some coconut butter in the food processor so I can make all your vegan fudges 🙂

  129. Tess says

I lurve the Jocalat bars. They are on sale at Kroger this week for $1.00. I think that’s a pretty great deal so I got a few of my favs…….I also got the coconut cream and the ginger crisp regular Lara bars. I can’t wait to try the pizzert you made the other day and I will try to make your pancakes since its National Pancake Day! Thanks for all your terrific recipes and adventurous spirit with food!

  130. Laura says

Oh my gosh, I love so many Larabars!! I think I’ll be most sad to see the cherry Jocolats go. I love those a lot!

Don’t know how I missed it, but just saw your post on the Blueberry Muffin ones. I haven’t seen them anywhere but they sound amazing!

  131. Christin@purplebirdblog says

I had completely forgotten how much I loved Jocolats until recently! Winning this would be a super score! 😀

  132. Jen says

I’ve been meaning to comment and tell you this anyway, so why not try to win some yum-yums in the process?
I sneakily woke up early the other morning to make red velvet pancakes (minus the red) for my man. Unfortunately, it was an utter failure! I’m blaming the pan — I couldn’t get anything resembling a pancake to come out of it, and there was terrible smoke all through the house (so my man woke up to smoke instead of pancakes…sigh). After the first couple didn’t work, I decided to put them in a muffin pan and we had red velvet (minus the red) muffins for breakfast instead. Still super yummy! A little dense and they didn’t rise much, but it made me not feel bad about bombing with the pancakes.

  133. Jen says

I love Larabar’s Jocalat bars because they’re perfect as healthy desserts or fun mid-day snacks. And it’s a cute photo — I probably would’ve put the box on my head, too. 🙂

  134. Katherine says

I want to try your mint chocolate milkshake! I love mint and chocolate together, and I also like the mint and chocolate jocalat bar.

  135. T. says

What an awesome giveaway! Thank you for the chance! I want to try some of your shake recipes…haven’t tried something from your site I didn’t love!

  136. A.B. says

Oooo! I just clicked on the “Microwave Brownie Trick” link, and the “Homemade Carrot Cake Bars” recipe (with coconut butter and shredded carrot – *drool*) is now on my immediate To Do list! 😀

  137. kathleen says

I would loves box of jocolat. I thinki tried a flavor once eons ago the only thing I remember was that it didn’t have a chocolate coating which is a plus for throwing them in your bag before hikes. Anyway, I would love to try your macaroons.

  138. Wendy Heath says

I really really want to try your stroganoff. I <3 mushrooms and veggies and it looks so satisfying!!! Beef stroganoff is too rich and gives my hubby intestinal woes… so maybe this one would be acceptable and satisfy that shroomy umami craving!

  139. Jordan says

I need to try your just like cozy shack rice pudding!! i LOVE rice pudding and have had the recipe written down for a few weeks but keep forgetting!

  140. Alex @ Healing Beauty says

Thanks for hosting this give away and allowing your inbox to overflow for the sake of your readers 🙂

  143. Lynne says

Jocalat bars? That sounds muy goodo! I love lara bars! The commissary usually only has 3 flavors (cherry, apple and cashew) but recently I found creamy coconut!! I was in heaven and of course purchased every bar they had on the shelf! Sorry, a girl has to stock up when there is not much variety here in NC.

Can’t wait to try Jocalat bars. I will have to splurge and order some online.

  144. liz says

I love larabars! Never tried the jocalat bars but by looking at the flavors available I would have to say my favorite is the chocolate hazelnut.

  145. Leanne says

I have already made the pizzert, which has become a staple in our house – both sweet and savory…and we plan on trying the red velvet pancakes next.

  146. Babs says

    Oh ….YUM!

I seriously need to make some fudge babies or Carrot cake babies:). That naughty girl fudge cake looks amah-zng!

    Love your blog!

  147. Kate says

I’d like to turn your voluminous oats into a Larabar-inspired breakfast treat! Oats with dried cherries and dark chocolate chips? Yum!

  148. Anne says

I have never even heard of these!! My only “vegan friendly” store in town is Walmart. I can buy butter, ice cream and tofu there…but the only flavors they have of Larabars are peanut butter cookie, and a chocolate chip one. Would love to try these!

  149. Sarah says

I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the chance to try that CAKE BATTER YUMMY IN MY TUMMY milkshake that is coming! It is coming right? Right? PLEASE! Must. Have. Healthy. Cake. Batter.

Larabars are my favorite! Living with Celiac disease they are my go-to item for snacks that I don’t a) have to make or b) worry about what could be IN them that could make me sick! With just a few ingredients and never anything I can’t pronounce they are my favorite!!!

  153. Moni'sMeals says

    I have tried them all!

  160. abby says

p.s the gingerbread cookie balls look delish!

  163. Seana says

  164. Kay says

DEFINITELY the Vegan Peanut Butter Pie!! Ahhh, it sounds so delicious.

I also want the Single Lady Carrot Cake. I need snacks to keep my lonely self company! Haha

  165. Wendy says

Well now that you mention it, I need to try the microwave brownie trick!
This has got to be my favorite giveaway yet!

  166. Katie says

I actually just made your sugar free chocolate fudge last night! I had been dying to try it and finally got around to making my own coconut butter. The fudge is SO SO good! I will be making this stuff regularly for sure. I have no patience so I froze it after mixing, I think next time I will try to refrigerate just to see if there is any difference.

I also linked to the Jocalot giveaway just now 🙂

  167. Emma says

I’d love to try making your homemade carrot cake larabars! I love larabars, but they’re sooooo expensive. Homemade would be a lot cheaper!

  168. McKenzie says

Another person here who has never tried the Jocalat bars! I eat Lärabars all the time so I have no idea why this is haha. That is a little sad they’re retiring the chocolate cherry kind, that definitely sounds like something I’d be all over.

  169. Cati says

Ah! Every time a blogger posts about jocolat I drool and kick myself for not making sure there were stores like Whole Foods before moving to the city where I live now! I still need to make your “good girl” fudge recipe–I am always seeing recipes that call for chocolate, coconut, and/or peanut butter, and I almost always have one but not the other(s) in my cupboards!

  170. Lori says

I just moved to Dallas last month and also just discovered your blog last week. Hooray for both! I and was excited to see your post about the Spiral Diner! I must visit it soon.

  171. Dana says

  172. Jillian says

Mmm, I’ve always wanted to try Jocalats! Because A. Chocolate is the bomb-diggity, and B. because the name is just so darn cute. 🙂 Your breakfast pizzerts have captured my heart and make frequent appearances on my breakfast (okay, lunch and dinner and dessert too 😉 ) table.

  173. Heather R says

I really want to try any of your raw desserts or some of your banana nut butter. Hello, bananas, nut butter, must be love! P.S. I’m pretty there are some serious grammatical grievances in the following paragraph.

  174. Heather @ kissmybroccoli says

Gosh girl! What recipe don’t I want to try?! You cease to amaze me with your fabulous creations! I can’t wait to try your stroganoff!

  175. Anonymous says

Katie, I recently started following your blog, and I love checking it everyday! Oatmeal, peanut butter, and chocolate are some of my favs, and I love how often they’re featured on your site! I pretty much want to try all of your oatmeal recipes… many I have done before, but not all of them. I need to try coconut butter! I feel like it’s going to start an expensive addiction.

I’ve never had the chocolate cherry larabars, and now I really want to try them!

  176. Lyza M. says

Oh my goodness…this giveaway is a dream!!! I love jocolat bars…I can’t believe they are getting rid of that flavor!! 🙁

LOL, my question is, why NOT put a box on your head?! I think if the world questioned things that were, “different,” from ordinary all the time, we would live in SUCH a boring world. It’s fun and exciting to try new things!! 🙂 And because you are Chocolate Covered Katie, it makes perfect sense that it would be on your head 😀 You’re always trying new things, AND NOW–you are covered in chocolate!! 🙂

  177. Rebecca says

I’ve always wanted to try some of your single-lady goods! 🙂 but I am too lazy.. hahah. I’ll try to make them soon! Larabars are amazing and nutritiously packed! Hope I finally get to try a jocolat bar!

I really want to make your vegan yogurt – in fact I just bought a package of silken tofu… Now I just need to get some fruit, since all of my strawberries mysteriously went missing 😐
I’ve tried a larabar only once, and very recently. It was a coconut chocolate one and was so intensely fabulous that I’m dreaming of it just sitting here…

  181. Aja says

I have never tried one of those. I just to have Luna Bars all the time, but got very bored of them. Those look delicious.

I would love to try any one of your fudge baby recipes. I have been meaning to make a treat for my boyfriend, and I think I’ve found just the thing.

Also, I like putting things on my head for pictures. It just looks more interesting on top of your head than in your hands in front of you. It makes people go, “why is that on her head? Oh, what is that? That looks interesting.”

  182. Breaking Free says

My favorite Jocalat is the Chocolate Mint version. I remember when I first bit into it my mouth was like, whaaaatttt??? what is this deliciousness?? This is so good and it tastes like a brownie and it can’t be good for me I should stop eating it!!”
But the ooey gooey chocolatey goodness overtook my tastebuds and I kept eating, savoring every bite. It is my favorite! I still can’t believe that it is good for me and has no artificial ingredients!

  183. Maxene says

mmm chocolate everything. As a college student I can’t afford them much, but I love the plan jocalat and hazelnut.

  187. Cassie says

  188. shannonmarie says

Why are they retiring those bars? They’re so good. One of my faves 🙂

I know why the box is on your head. It is because you are a lady. It’s like when ladies would balance books on their heads in charm school to improve their postures. Or, maybe it’s just a yummy fashion statement. You’re a la mode, so bring on the vegan ice cream on top of that brownie 🙂

  189. Lauren says

Aspara-Guac….Hello spring! I can not wait until I have some fresh asparagus from the garden so I can try this!

  190. Albizia says

There are moments when I really wish I lived in the US and this is one of them. People who say you can’t miss something you haven’t tried are so wrong!

The picture with the Jocalats on your head is cute enough to make me not care at all about the reason why you put them there 🙂 .

  193. Jaime Lutz says

Gosh, I want to try ALL of your recipes! I’m all about healthy desserts – sometimes you need to feel like you’re indulging. I love Larabars for that, too – my favorite is the PB and Jelly Bar.

  194. Lina says

I love the Jocalat bars, this makes me so sad 🙁 I guess I’ll have to experiment with more of your recipes to make my own version 😛 It’d be great to win some though before this flavor disappears! Anyhoo, I am super excited to try your new raw milkshake recipes, its finally warming up and I love my liquid meals!

  202. Amy says

I love love love your Oatmeal Raisin Pudding! I made it for my grandma and she thought it was better than rice pudding! 😀 yummy!

  203. Ashley says

I absolutely love larabars! In fact they got me interested in creating my own raw food delights! Which drew me also to your website, because I really wanted to make raw gingerbread and looked online for a recipe and found your site!

My favorite thing about them is reading the package and being able to understand every ingredient! I don’t know if I can pick a favorite bar, because they are all so yummy!!!!

  204. nicole says

I haven’t had time to try the Single Lady Banana Bread, but I plan on doing so soon! I did try making the coconut butter but I don’t think I used the right coconut or something, because what I made CAN’T be the same thing all the bloggers rave about! LOL

  205. Hannah says

Oh, we LOVE larabars! They’re a bit pricey, though, so I usually just stick to making fudge babies! 🙂

  206. Emma says

As a fan of all things chocolate, it is such a shame you can’t buy Jocalats here in UK so I have never tried one : (

I am planning to make your high protein chocolate cake very soon, a supermarket over here has just started selling tinned pumpkin (before could buy from hardly anywhere in UK) so I am now sorted as I always have some soy chocolate protein powder in anyway! Can’t wait to try it!

  207. Emily says

I doubt, with all these comments, there’s a chance for me. But just in case: Katie, I love ALL your recipes. Not just saying that. I really do. I think yours is the only blog where I’ve actually made more than one. And every single one has turned out well!

  208. Vanilla says

One recipe I would like to try? but I almost already tried them all…xD

  210. Karen says

I never tried Jocalats, but love to make my own version of “larabars”, so I buy a bunch to try and figure out how to get it close to the original. 🙂 Love your blog…keep up the good work!! 🙂

  211. Mona says

    I LOVE the Jocolats!!!! XD
And, (even though it’s not really a recipe), I love your Jocolat Microwave trick. I zap my Jocolats all the time!
My favorite Jocolat is the Mint. So refreshing! (^ _ ^)

I would really love to try one :d

  212. Brandie says

I’ve had Larabars and loved them! Not sure if I’ve had the Jocolat? I can’t generally afford stuff like that though, lol, so It’s been Awhile since I had ANY flavor! And I so love the pic of you and your Jocolat Hat – very stylish!! :oÞ

  214. Molly says

I want to try your Alfredo! It looks so simple and yummy. I’ve already tried a couple vegan Alfredo sauces but haven’t found the perfect one yet. I will definitely give it a try. Also, all your recipes look great and being a new vegan I am always looking, so yay for a new person to follow!

I’ve actually never had the Larabars, I’m currently addicted to the Luna bars but would definitely be open to giving them a shot, especially since you rave about them so much. 🙂

  215. Mindy says

I want to try your Mint Chocolate shake recipe and your Thin Mint Brownies. I love the combo of mint and chocolate, and I need to get some more peppermint extract. I also really like chocolate and cherry combined, so I would love to win some of these bars. Thanks for the chance Katie.

  216. Rachel says

I can’t wait to try your sugar-free fudge! (Although I’m afraid that once I do, I’ll never stop eating it . . . hehe.)

  217. Sheila says

Jocalats! Oh my gosh you are so generous! Or Larabar is, but you are too, for hosting this!

And they’re smart to hook you up, because you are THE reason I ever tried a Jocalat in the first place! I saw how you raved about them, and I knew I MUST try one!

    So glad I did. 🙂

  218. Karin the Veg Head says

Hey Katie, this is my first time commenting, but I love your site. And I love Jocalat bars too!

  219. Natalie S. says

I want to try ANY of your desserts!! Just like you, my sweet tooth doesn’t like to be OVERWHELMED by sweetness, so I like how your recipes are usually only a little sweet.

  220. abbey says

Fudge Babies! Its bad news when there’s an entire batch next to me!
Also, I just tried the banana single lady muffin– perfect!

  221. Cristina says

I reeeeally want to try your recipes for single serve muffins, especially the chocolate chip cookie dough one hmmmm…plus I looove Larabars, but I haven’t tried the Jocalat flavors, so I would love to win 🙂

  222. Aly says

    Hi Katie!

I would like to try some of your Peanut Butter/Chocolate Babies next. You know how I feel about peanut-butter dipped flip flops, so naturally peanut butter and chocolate would make beautiful babies!

Also, in another post somewhere out there, you had asked about recipes we might like to see healthified (did I make that word up?). I have this fabulous Peanut Butter (obviously) Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that I would love to transform into something vegan and healthy. I used to make them all the time, but not in the past year since my change to a vegan diet. I’m not a fan of super processed anything (flours, sugars etc.) and I’m usually happy with banana-sweetend baked goods and unsweetend chocolate. I don’t have much experience in veganizing a baked recipe though – Help?!

Crossing my fingers for those Jocalats and still hoping to see Blueberry Muffin Larabars somewhere in New York soon!! Come on Lara, it’s New York! lol, have a great day 🙂

    • Chocolate-Covered Katie says

Hey Aly! Wow, your cookie sounds perfect! I mean, chocolate? Check. Pb? Check. Oatmeal? Check! What else could you ask for? 😉 I guess, when transforming it, I’d first try to veganize it. I’m a fan of ener-g egg replacer, so I’d try that in place of the eggs. For flour, I am in love with spelt flour. It seems to have a lighter taste than whole wheat, but you could also use ww pastry. And I wouldn’t try making it fat free, because some fat is good, and also because fat free cookies just taste like muffin tops! (That can be yummy, but it’s not a cookie!) So I’d probably look into Earth Balance or something. And hey, if your first attempts don’t come out ok, you can always eat your not-perfect experiments! 😉
Keep me updated on how it goes!

      • Aly says

Actually, I’m a big fan of spelt flour too. I have a great recipe for Date Bars (sugar-free)where I swapped in spelt flour and they came out better than the original I think. I’ve played with Ener-G before, but not too much. And I’m definitely an Earth Balance fan. And of course, a PB enthusiast – no skimping there!

Once I get it right, I’ll send the recipe your way. Thanks!

        • Aly says

Any suggestions for the 2 giant cups of sugar in this recipe?! It calls for one cup of white sugar and one cup of brown sugar. I’m sure I could cut it way down and still be more than happy with the flavor, but I’d still like to stay away from anything refined like white sugar. In the recipe’s defense, it does yield A LOT of cookies lol!

  223. Jen says

I LOVE Larabars…but have never tried the Jocolate ones.
I just wrote down your Peanut Butter Babies recipe and I WILL be making them this weekend.
    Great blog!

  224. Jane says

I love your site. I actually just came across it about a week ago and have visited several times since. I made your three ingredient peanut butter balls and can’t wait to try more recipes! Would love to win some chocolate Lara bars too!

  225. Emily says

I really want to make your “24-carrot” carrot cake cupcakes! That’s definitely my favorite dessert and a healthy version is always welcome! I’ve never tried a Jocalat but if I don’t win them I’m definitely going to buy some now!

  226. Mona says

I love Lara bars! My favorite one is the Cashew Cookie one. I haven’t tried the Jocolat one though – would love to try them!

  230. Daniela says

My favorite jocolat is the mint chocolate flavor which I microwave and then top with so delicious coconut milk ice cream in mint chip flavor and add cocoa nibs on top… Yum!!!!
I bet the cherry chocolate jocolat would taste amazing with the cherry amaretto so delicious ice cream!

  231. Melissa F says

I haven’t tried your single lady cookie yet, but it looks scrumptious! I would want the chocolate hazelnut flavor for the bars.

  232. Holly says

I’ve had plans to make your pizzert almost everyday…and then I never do. And I am seeing it all over the blog world and I droooooooool…must. make. this. weekend.

  233. Christine says

I need to expand my baby making… I started with the choc chip cookies dough babies and love them so much that it’s hard to branch out!

  234. Isabella says

I really, super de duper wish that there was a larabar buffet in Dallas. Sorry… that was weird. I want to try the mint Jocolat bar. (pretty please) [puckered lips and head turned!]

  235. Tanya says

Well, I really want to try those Raw Thin Mint Brownies because I think they look and sound great 🙂 I always loved chocolate and mint together and this looks perfect. It’s too bad my local store here doesn’t carry too many Larabar flavors….only a few, so I’ve not had much of a choice when it comes to choosing flavors.

  236. Stephanie says

    hi katie!
your blog is always my most favorite to read!
i am dying to try your mushroom stroganoff (i just haven’t had the time yet haha)

  237. Kelly S :) says

I’ve been meaning to try your breakfast pizzert for quite some time now! I keep saving the link in my favorites and I keep forgetting! I’ll do it soon! They do not sell Jocalat bars where I live which is so unfortunate! I would love to try one one day! Love your blog 🙂

  239. EmilyK says

  240. Amber Shea @Almost Vegan says

Holy crap, look at all these comments! Even if I don’t stand a chance 😉 I’ll say anyway that a pizzert is at the top of my list of bloggers’ recipes I really need to make someday, along with socca.

  241. Kathleen says

I love Larabars. The ingredients are so simple and healthy. Sadly, I’ve yet to get to try the Jocolats, but I’d love to.
I have so many of your recipes that I’ve been meaning to try. I did get around to making a pizzert, and it was wonderful.
    Love the blog, Katie.

  242. kaila @ healthy helper! says

Chocolate Cherry was my favorite Jocolat flavor and thats why I want to win this giveaway…because I am so sad they are being retired! It is so unfair….first pistachio and now this! They keep retiring all my faves!

  243. Luyi says

I’d love to try your vegan vegetable stroganoff someday! I just saw it today and it looked super hearty.

Or… your key lime pie! Mmm…

  244. Carol Belles says

I have no idea what they taste like and would love to try them. I also wanted to say that I love your blog!

  245. Arusa says

I’d love to try Jocalats, I’m trying to eat more healthier and I feel these are great bars since they contain few ingredients and aren’t loaded with chemicals, preservatives and more. I also want to try them because they are vegan and I love to eat mostly vegan(I’m a vegetarian) foods.

  246. Reema says

I want to try one of your recipes using the agar base. I just bought it from whole paycheck, and my birthday is on Tuesday, and I told my mom that we were going to make it together 🙂 I also hinted to her about a vita-mix!! Yay birthdays haha.

And I think on your head is a very adorable place for a box of jocolat!
I love your blog, keep on rocking 🙂

  247. Mastering Public Health (@MasPublicHealth) says

Aw, this is sad news; Larabar keeps breakin’ hearts with all the retired flavors (Pistachio, Cocoa Mole)… but I’m still looking out for the new Blueberry! Though, I do wish their regular line — not just Jocolat — was organic. 🙂 Anyway, I’d love to try your new chocolate cake (banana or raspberry) recipes. They look fantastic. I am a longtime reader but want to say thanks again for writing such a cool blog with so many innovative ideas!

  248. Sarah says

I still haven’t come around to try yozr fudge babies…what’s my problem? However, I would be reaaaaally happy to win a case of larabars!

  249. Noelle says

OH my gosh!!!! I am so sad. They cannot be retiring the chocolate cherry flavor. That is my favorite. How sad! I hope I get to win a case. 🙁

  250. Audra says

I love these bars! I always grab one when I don’t have time to cook. Also-dying to try the breakfeast pizzert 🙂

I’ve been looking for the Jocalat bars everywhere! But I never see them. Poo!
I’ve always wanted to make the kabocha pudding..nothing with kabocha can turn out bad 😉

  252. Emily says

I haven’t tried your microwave brownie trick on a lara bar…so according to this post I haven’t lived (how tragic!) so I thought I’d post for a free chance to remedy that. Also, a you ever incorporate chocolate into your savory dish recipes?

      • Emily says

I made a Mexican mole based off the recipe in veganomicon and put it over some beans inside an acorn squash. It was so delicious I’ve been on the hunt for new ways to sneak chocolate out of my dessert and into my dinner (ok…not out of my dessert…but definitely into my dinner as well)

  253. Jillian says

I’ve been dying to try your cookie dough dip and I even had the tofu in my kitchen but got so wrapped up in school stuff that I never had the time!

  263. Shannon says

Okay, that was typo laden. “nor have I ever tried” would be better. I am partially blaming my keyboard on the typos because some of the keys are sticking.
