Vegan Pasta Recipes
Fourteen deliciously easy vegan pasta recipes that both vegans and non vegans will love!
A homemade vegan Alfredo pasta sauce, thickened without any cashews or tofu.
Many vegan pasta recipes call for cashews or tofu to add richness and creaminess to the sauce without dairy, but the recipe above can be made without either ingredient, and the entire meal comes together in under 20 minutes!
I probably make this last recipe at least once a month. The sauce is a wonderful addition to everything – pasta, rice, quinoa, vegetables, or even as a rich and creamy soup. Highly recommended!
A healthy plant-based meal for the entire family – the filling can be made with just three ingredients, no cashews, and there’s even a soy-free version.
NO soy, NO dairy, NO cashews, NO cauliflower! This low-fat vegan pasta sauce uses a surprising ingredient to add thickness, and you can make it in under 5 minutes flat!
This cauliflower Alfredo recipe is so rich and creamy, you will never believe it isn’t full of heavy cream and calories!
This vegan macaroni and cheese recipe is a surprising favorite even with non vegans! If people who remember what real Kraft mac and cheese tastes like say it’s good, then you know it must be true!
One taste, and you’ll be running back to check the ingredients, because it’s almost impossible to believe a sauce this thick and creamy could possibly have no heavy cream!
If you’re a fan of baked pasta recipes or pasta casseroles, this lightened-up cauliflower baked mac and cheese was made just for you. It’s great for parties and is so deliciously cheesy that no one ever even notices the cauliflower!
This super easy vegan noodle recipe tastes like Chinese takeout and can be served hot or cold, for a quick and healthy weeknight meal. Serve as a side dish, or bulk it up by tossing in some veggies or your favorite protein source.
A creamy and comforting vegan pasta recipe that is good not just in the Fall, but all year long. Pumpkin makes the mac and cheese extra creamy while also giving it that classic Velveeta color!
These cheesy vegan ramen noodles are just plain addictive. Eat them for dinner, or snack, or packed into a lunchbox – with chopsticks or a fork. It’s completely your choice!
Another recipe that will take you straight back to childhood, adults love these vegan spaghettios just as much as kids do… or possibly even more! And with no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors, it’s a recipe you can feel good about serving to the entire family.
Healthy Mac And Cheese – from Skinnytaste
Cheesy comfort food that is good for you at the same time. What more could you possibly want?! I like to add broccoli to mine, or it’s also really good with roasted zucchini, peppers, eggplant, or tomatoes. Or leave it plain for picky eaters!
This meatless recipe is surprisingly high in protein and healthy fats. The avocado adds incredible creaminess without the need for any heavy cream. If you find yourself with an extra avocado on hand that needs to be used up, definitely give this one a try.
A simple and filling vegan dinner loaded with vegetables and flavor, this is a great recipe to use up whatever vegetables you have on hand. While the recipe says the soba or noodles are optional, I always add them!
Is Pasta Vegan?
When I first told my Italian grandmother that I was going vegan, she literally asked me only one question: Can you still eat pasta???
After I assured her that, with the exception of egg noodles, vegans can still eat most types of pastas—including spaghetti, linguine, rotini, penne, farfalle, fettuccine, lasagna, fusilli, and macaroni—she was totally on board with the vegan thing.
I’ve never met anyone who loves pasta as much as my grandmother; she sometimes even ate it for breakfast!
While I draw the line at pasta for breakfast, I do have an entire shelf in my pantry devoted to different pasta brands and shapes.
It’s a great choice any time you’re entertaining both vegans and omnivores, because you can easily make a completely vegan or plant-based pasta meal that non-adventurous eaters or those who aren’t fans of more polarizing vegan meat substitutes can also enjoy.
What Are Your Favorite Pasta Recipes?
Feel free to leave links to your own go-to pasta dishes, and they definitely don’t have to be vegan.
I love looking at classic non-vegan pasta recipes for inspiration and could spend hours poring through old Italian cookbooks.
*Side Note: If you’re serving a guest who is gluten-free or following a low-carb or keto diet, feel free to swap out the pasta in my recipes above with a gluten-free pasta, bean noodles, or even spaghetti squash (see How To Cook Spaghetti Squash).

Hi Katie: In your vegan Lemon Bread recipe you mentioned vegan lasagna soup. What is that? I didn’t see the recipe in your pasta recipe section. Thanks,
