I love anything that’s easy and portable for breakfast. Breakfast isn’t my favorite meal of the day, but the single cinnamon roll, cake batter donuts and oatmeal cupcakes to go are perfect for me! I love all these ideas, can’t wait to try them this weekend!

  2. Am says

I think I’m probably going to have some cereal and yogurt, this morning. However, I can’t wait to make the Elvis PB pancakes from the cookbook!
Oh, yeah! I got your cookbook in! It is so amazing! It looks so beautiful and the recipes are amazing!! Congratulations!! 😀 I made the lemon zest donuts – awesome! 😀 Thanks so much! 😀

    Hi Katie,
I have been receiving your recipes for the last year or so and I must say that your recipes are the best! I love that you always have alternates to ingredients, which allows so much flexibility for all types of diets. Your recipes are my go to recipes. Thank you so much!

I’ve been eating the oatmeal cupcakes to go all week! So easy and so delicious! I’ve been too lazy to get up from my desk and warm them in the morning but i did today and they were so much better!

The breakfast you had today sounds amazing! I overslept by a little bit today so I had to have a breakfast I could it in the car. I had toast and homemade hot chocolate. While the hot chocolate actually was pretty great, I’m still jealous of your oatmeal! Maybe I’ll find time to make some tomorrow morning.

I used to not really bother with breakfast at all but now I hate having to skip breakfast. There are so many wonderful possibilities for breakfast. I had a small chocolate-cherry-chia smoothie plus two small chocolate donuts from Katie’s cookbook. 🙂 I used my babycakes donut maker. They were SO good!

  7. Inge says

Isn’t oatmeal alone enough proof that breakfast is the best meal of the day? 🙂
Those are delicious looking recipes, though. So I might even skip my daily oatmeal for them once or twice. 😉

  8. Katie Mitchell says

Can’t wait to try the coconut cake! I had chocolate oatmeal with coconut and peanut butter on it for breakfast.

Breakfast is indeed the meal of all meals (even though there are only three meals in a day). It’s my favorite! I need to try your peach crumble for breakfast— mmmm.
Today I had Amanda’s oatmeal cookie dough smoothie with a lot of spinach blended in to get in some greens!

    Coconut breakfast cake <3
I love breakfast foods, and this is such a nice collection of recipes!
This morning, I actually made a coconutty breakfast myself: Coconut porridge with cinnamon and chocolate syrup, mmmm ^ ^

Whoa! I usually just grab a yogurt for breakfast but I’d gladly trade that for one of these. Pinning! Thanks for sharing Kate.

  12. Tonje says

I had two slices of toast with peanut butter and sliced banana for breakfast this morning, but tomorrow i will definitely try your Single serving blueberry muffin!

I always have what i call a ‘smoothie bowl,’ i’m addicted to this and so is my husband:
    1 banana
    1 cup(ish) blueberries, frozen
    1 cub(ish) almonds
    add flax, chia seeds, coconut
put all ingredients in food processor and then mix and enjoy. sometimes we add PB, chocoalte chips, you can switch the fruit combos. we take it on the go, eat it at home. just remember your floss!!!

  14. Stella says

yes these look great but these are desserts not breakfasts! I’m all for treating ourselves to something nice now and again but these are terrible ideas to have first thing in the morning.

Hi, did you actually click on any of the recipes or view the header of this blog? This is the “healthy dessert” blog, and the dessert recipes are actually just as healthy–with whole grains, fiber, fruits, and veggies–as eating a bowl of oatmeal or an egg white omlette. 😉
