    Dear Katie,
Thank you so much for this blog! I am constantly on the lookout for recipes that can be easily adapted for my family’s needs (I’m a vegetarian, my husband is allergic to onions and I try to feed my son a mainly processed sugar-free diet, except for desserts.) So this blog of delicious food that we can make and enjoy brings me so much joy! I’m so glad I found you. I’m inspired by your attitude toward and love for food.

This is Kenneth from 9MediaOnline. I am looking to buy some of your video inventory to place our video ads. I have received a budget of $1.5 Million for the remainder of this quarter from my demand partners. Do let me know if or when you would be free to discuss a partnership.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.
Your healthy (vegan) alternatives to the baked yummy treats that my family were raised on are a Godsend. Thanks to the cookbook I received at Christmas I have been able to retire my fat & sugar filled cookie recipes and replace them with tasty alternatives that satisfy my newly adopted vegan WOE while keeping my ominvore hoard of 5 kiddos from becoming mutinous. The blueberry loaf, cinnamon rolls and lemon donuts are in such demand… the kids are asking for them!

BTW… the blueberry loaf is just as good with rhubarb & strawberry from the garden as it is when made with blueberries.
    Thanks for all you do.

  5. alina says

How can you call this the “healthy” dessert blog when your recipes are full of either white sugar or other types of sugar? most recipes have equal parts sugar and flour which is insane! Katie you’re a total liar and deceiver in order to make money!

  6. Jessica says

I tried to making your keto chocolate chip cookies. I don’t know what I did wrong, but they didn’t flatten out like a cookie does when you bake it. Please help!

  7. nathalie says

Listen. I don’t want to fan-girl all over you, Katie… but your cookbook. Oh my goodness!
I am about half way through making all 80 recipes. I have yet to hit on one that isn’t ending up in the “make this again” pile. My family love them all and your healthier alternatives have nudged old family favorites right out of the recipe index box! (Chocolate Pixies… I’m looking at you!)
I’m bringing in samples to my co-workers and about half of them have gone out to get their own copies of your book. #worthit

Ok, I gotta get back to my chocolate brownie waffles before they get cold. Thank you for all you do.

I was posting on the blueberry banana bread and trying to add a photo since I made the bread. Otherwise, I was asking about wheat flour, but that’s it! Can you help?

  11. Gary says

Katie ..I don’t see anywhere in your recipe as to how long at 450 degrees your suggesting to bake a sweet potato. Please respond ASAP…I want to try it tonight.

    • Jason Sanford says

Ads on sites nowadays are set up so they’re specific to the user. They are not set by the blog author. For example, go to any major clothing store website, click around a little, and then come back to this site (or another food blog) and click around a little here… you will almost assuredly see an ad for the website you were just on. It’s the same reason you are served targeted ads on faceook or instagram and other people won’t see the same ads as you. Katie definitely wouldn’t ever specifically place a greyhound ad on her site 🙂

  12. Daniel simmons says

I love your blog! Your outlook on eating seems very healthy and inspiring. I am transitioning into a healthy vegan diet and loving it…your blog is such a great resource and a lot of fun to read.

  13. Kimmy says

Hi Katie, fan of your website, however lately trying to print your recipes is not so much fun. The pictures and I’m assuming ads are all that show on the first page, you have to print 3 pages just to get the recipe….anyway this can get updated, it is such a pain to try to manipulate this to get it to print properly on one page. Thanks much!

    • Jason Sanford says

Hi Kimmy, we are so sorry for the trouble! It’s printing fine on our end so I don’t even know what could be going on. Katie is working with a developer on a full redesign to make the site MUCH more user friendly (faster loading, etc.) and we’re hoping to launch it in February. Hopefully the print issue you’re seeing is a temporary glitch and will fix itself before then, but no matter what it will be fixed soon, along with many of the other frustrating things about her website’s use-ability. 🙂

    • Jason Sanford says

Oh, and if it doesn’t correct itself before then, just select the text you want (in this case, the recipe), right-click, and select print. Let me know if that works! (If nothing else, copying and pasting into a word document also is an option.)

We’ve enjoyed Aldi’s frozen Sweet Potato Casserole with a pecan-brown sugar topping for years. I’ve often wished for a way to make it healthier, but haven’t the time or know-how. Our DIL is coming from out of state & expects to see it on my table the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Aldi decided to offer it only 1 week, instead of for the season. And, yep, you guessed it: it was offered LAST week!

Any suggestions? Thank you for your time and expertise. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.

PS So…while this request isn’t technically for a dessert …it could be, right???? Add a dollop of whipped cream on top and voila! Just sayin.

I just want to let you know that your Vegan Magic Bars blog post has been stolen and published on another blog site. If you have given permission, then please let me know. Otherwise, you can find the post here >

Anyway, I just want to let you know what I have discovered. You might want to check and see if any of your other blog posts are on this website. I am in the process of reaching out to our fellow bloggers and tell them what I have discovered.

    Take care,

    • Jason Sanford says

Hi, thanks for letting us know. We really hate seeing things like that. Unfortunately there are just so many that we’ve given up even reporting them because it was becoming a full time job and as soon as you’d successfully get them to take down one recipe, they’ put another up in its place. It’s really awful and by far Katie’s least favorite part of blogging.

If you eat like this all the time, you’ll be “as big as a barrel” by the time you are 45. You’d better be pretty selective with your diet!!

  20. Namrata says

I just wanted to drop Katie a note to say – thanks for writing this awesome blog! In this age – your recipes have provided my family with easy and fun ways to make dessert. I love the variety of recipes and the sheer dependability – I trust chocolate covered katie, so I don’t mind taking a leap of faith on some of the stranger sounding recipes (Black beans in a brownie?!, really?).
On a separate side note – after weeks of using your blog fairly religiously – I just happened to see some notes Katie published regarding the rumors that she’s been confronted about an eating disorder. This infuriated me so much, that I wanted to publicly throw my support fully behind Katie on this one. Her weight, and her eating schedule and / or exercise schedule is absolutely irrelevant to her profession – which, as I see it, is to spread good information about baking and cooking healthier food. Katie, thank you for shining a spotlight on the double standard that women face and the incredible hypocrisy out there.
I hope you continue creating lovely recipes, staying healthy and absolutely ignoring anybody who thinks that how you look or what you personally eat is relevant to your work and / or your blog. Keep sharing your appreciation for good food and keep modeling professional and strong female behavior for all the haters out there.

You are lovely and your recipe for banana pancakes was great. I jut found your web sight last night and decided to make them this morning. I always love to see young people succeed and I just wanted to wish you all the best. I added a little bit of honey and some vanilla to the recipe and I enjoyed it a lot. I WILL BE BACK:)

I’m so happy that I tried your black bean brownies recipe. I was hesistant for a while, it didn’t seem possible. They are amazing, you are correct. Thank you so much, I enjoy trying so many of your different recipes. I am a fan.

  23. Kelly K says

I just had a few minutes to spare at the moment, but when I got your email about your blog “do over” I wanted to let you know that what I found in my short visit was amazing! What an improvement. I will be back later when I have a bit more time to wander. Thanks for doing this.

  24. Maggie Shero says

Katie thanks so much for your delicious recipes. I wonder if they are gluten free friendly? If I sub gluten free flour for regular flour will they work

    • Jason Sanford says

Hi, many of her recipes have that option 🙂
If it says gf ap flour, that means she tested the recipe with something like Bob’s cup for cup flour. Hope that helps!

  25. Belle says

Can you direct me to any of your dessert recipes that don’t use a lot of sugar? I try to avoid eating sugar but am looking for some good vegan dessert recipes. I wanted to make the coconut bread but then noticed that it used a cup of sugar. I don’t use sugar substitutes either. Am I out of luck as far as desserts? I did make the black bean brownies that my family enjoyed a lot.
