5 Ingredient Brownies

An easy 5 ingredient brownie recipe that yields a whole pan of fudgy chocolate brownies, no baking required.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Yield 10 – 12 brownies
4.9 from 16 votes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 5 tbsp pure maple syrup, honey, or agave (for sugar-free, make these Keto Brownies)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, or allergy friendly sub such as sunflower or coconut butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • optional handful mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Line an 8×8 pan with parchment or wax paper. (For thicker brownies than the ones in the photos, feel free to double the recipe and use the same size pan.) If not easily stir-able, gently heat nut butter to soften. Stir everything together until it resembled brownie batter. (If needed, add a little extra water.) Smooth into the pan. I used a second sheet of parchment over top to smooth it down. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars, and frost if desired.

Hi Katie! These look so heavenly. We have a nut allergy in our house so I think the almond flour is out. Are there any substitutions we could try? Thank you so much!!

  2. Sharon says

Loved these yummy, simple brownies! Used almond butter in the recipe and melted some chocolate chips to spread on top for frosting. Couldn’t be easier and how great not to have to use the oven.

  3. Raphael says

I tried it yesterday and it came out pretty good!

I just find it tastes more nutty than chocolatey. Maybe I could reduce the amount of peanut butter ? Add more cocoa powder? I didn’t use any frosting, just added some zero sugar chocolate chips.

  4. Yoseph says

Hello, i was wondering if i could substitute the almond flour with all-purpose? I don’t want to go out and buy almond flour because i am on a time constraint for a birthday party. Thank you.
