Bake this keto chocolate bread recipe whenever you are craving a deliciously rich and decadent chocolate breakfast or dessert.
Flourless chocolate quick bread
With both keto and non keto versions included, you do not have to be on a keto diet, or any special diet at all, to enjoy this homemade dark chocolate bread.
And unlike many other low carb chocolate loaf cakes, this simple chocolate dessert recipe calls for absolutely NO coconut flour.
The recipe can be oil free, dairy free, gluten free, banana free, and added sugar free, with paleo and vegan options included as well.

Or top it with almond butter or Coconut Butter as a healthy low carb snack.
It can also be served as chocolate cake for dessert, sprinkled with powdered sugar (or sugar free powdered sugar) or topped with Keto Ice Cream or Coconut Ice Cream.
Freeze leftover slices to enjoy any time you find yourself craving chocolate baked goods but do not feel like heating up the oven or doing the dishes.
Sugar free chocolate bread ingredients
Here’s what you need: almond meal or almond flour, cocoa powder, granulated sweetener of choice, baking powder, pure vanilla extract, regular or Greek yogurt (nondairy if desired), salt, eggs or flax eggs, water, and optional chocolate chips.
I recommend using a fourth cup of regular unsweetened cocoa powder and two tablespoons of Dutch cocoa powder. Dutch process cocoa gives chocolate baked goods a deep brownie flavor.
Sweetener options include xylitol, granulated erythritol, a monk fruit blend like Lakanto, or regular sugar or coconut sugar if you are not on a no sugar diet.
I have not tried substituting regular flour or coconut flour for the fine almond meal or flour. Almond meal is very different from both white flour and coconut flour, so the recipe may turn out very differently with one of these substitutions.
For best results, always make a recipe according to directions the first time. This is especially important with keto desserts.
Once you know how it should turn out, feel free to experiment with changes. You may come up with a new favorite!

How to make keto chocolate bread
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, and grease the bottom of a 9×5 loaf pan.
I also highly recommend adding a piece of parchment paper to the bottom of the pan, because it makes it much easier to pop the loaf out cleanly after baking.
In a large mixing bowl, stir all dry ingredients together. Whisk in the wet ingredients to form a batter. The recipe is gluten free, so there’s no need to worry about overmixing.
Smooth the chocolate batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle on some mini chocolate chips, sugar free chocolate chips, or shredded coconut if you wish.
Bake the chocolate loaf in the oven for fifty five minutes. Let it cool completely before going around the sides of the pan with a knife and inverting the cake onto a plate.
Once cooled, you can slice and serve the dessert, topped with Homemade Nutella.
Or cover loosely with paper towels and refrigerate overnight, because it will firm up even more during this time.
After a day, store any leftovers in a covered container for up to four days. Due to the perishable ingredients, I store mine in the refrigerator for freshness.
Or slice the healthy keto chocolate bread and store in an airtight covered container in the freezer, with a layer of parchment or wax paper in between slices.
The recipe should have a delicious fudgy and dense texture, almond more like chocolate pound cake than quick bread.

Is the nutritional list based on using Xylitol or sugar? Eggs or flax? I’m guessing the first ingredient listed? Thanks
